We're being too easy. Gotta throw out a show or actor that is way out there. When I revisit the forum later on, I want someone to have connected John Wayne or Bruce Lee to Mass Effect 2.J4N3_M3 wrote...

I'm hugely into SciFi in general. Trekkie ever since I was a kid. Star Wars too of course. One of the weirdos that goes to conventions and stuff. Although I refused to watch the new Galactica series in the beginning, since the old one was what got me into SciFi, I ended up being a huge fan of the remake. Dark, real....just woah! Can highly recommend it. Also the fact, that I do see some resemblance between Cylons and Geth, and Captain Bailey's VA is starring in the show as well. Cast is great, can't forget to mention that.
Stargate isn't in the future. It's here and now. Something I really liked. Yet, something a lot of people didn't want. Loved it though. Watched it ever since it started, although I was very sceptical in the beginning seeing that the MacGyver dude was one of the main cast. But he really pulled that off well and worked his way into my heart, along with the rest. Watched the movie in 94 with James Spader and Kurt Russell. Loved it.
It actually got two spin-offs. Stargate: Atlantis and just recently Stargate: Universe. Didn't like SG:A too much but SG:U is kinda cool. Gotta see where that one is going.
Babylon 5....well I'm still trying to find out why I used to love this show so darn much. It definitely jumped the shark at one point, just can't say when. And I can't even get back into watching the old series. It's just....i don't know.

The space battles were muted, but not silent. Actually, the team that worked on the special effects for the space battles on BSG were the team that worked on Firefly. I knew it the instant I saw it.J4N3_M3 wrote...
Yeah StarTrek was all Shiny as well. Something I didn't like about the show in general. I loved about BSG though that it was all "OMG we gotta flee from the cylons and our ships are so bah" I loved that. Seemed so real to me. Not to mention the whole camera work and that FINALLY all space battles were SILENT! loved it!

We have no reach or flexibility in this matter. It is sad. I might relent on Blake 7, though, if it reminds you of Firefly. Or Firefly reminded you of Blake 7.... chicken.... egg...Buggirl70 wrote...

ETA: Actually, I could mention how disappointed I am with the performance of the Incisor Sniper Rifle. I guess its unintended awesomeness in the hands of the squadmates was patched or something. Or maybe I need to take Garrus and Zaeed along while doing Overlord and see what the Incisor gets me then.

Oh, yeah, I never liked Enterprise! sucked if you asked me! And T'Pol was just BLAH! Jolene Blalock was at FedCon once and cried on stage over the end of the show. WTF? Get a life girl! Guess all actors who are that bad cry over a lost job in a Maincast. whatev......heard from other sources that she was hard to deal with while playing a role on Stargate. Found that funny. Knew why I never liked her. My boyfriend adores Enterprise though. I liked the idea of a TOS prequel but the way they eventually brought it on screen....*yawns* lamesauce

We never called her T'pol - we always called her "T'Poledancer" because thats really what she was, a Vulcan version of a stripper, who also got hooked on drugs (what was it she became addicted to again?)

@ J4N3: Mutant isn't originally a pejorative term, it's a factual description. It designates anything which has had its DNA modified (artificially or naturally) to express a characteristic which wasn't originally present in that species. Evolution is based on mutation: you could say that humans are essentially mutant primates. So a crossbreed baby would definitely be a mutant. It's just that the word now has a pejorative connotation in everyday language.
@ janeym: A lot of people think Garrus is an only child, which would be why there's not that much talk about siblings. I briefly considered giving him a little sister who died in an accident in the fic I'm writing, but I promptly dropped the thought. It just didn't seem to work.
@ Kim Shepard: I actually think Morinth could have her way with Grunt, if she wanted to. Mordin and Garrus, no. Everyone else? Yeah. Well, except Legion, that goes without saying.
@ Ragabul: I do agree that Garrus would go and ask Mordin for advice. And be really stressed out about it
As for squadmate DLC, I don't know...On the one hand, some of the possible scenarios would be awesome (Mordin and Garrus come to mind). But on the other hand, I've heard complaints about Leliana's Song saying that it created very big continuity problems with the main game. And the solution to that? Leliana says that a story changes each time you tell it...
...Really, Lel? Your memory is THAT bad? Or you just enjoy lying?
