Okay, I'll say it again:

Mordin's simply too hot to deal with volus, hanar and elcor. All of the ME2 LIs only pick Shepard because Mordin rejected them. The only reason why Harbinger doesn't want a salarian Reaper is because Mordin's possible inclusion would be too dangerous.

I could write a list of facts that would rival the Garrus Vakarian facts when it's done, I swear.
