the only fanfics I read are the ones directly from members. AKA the stuff buddha, riptide, Lividity Jones, and Sergio write. We get sneak peaks, and some of them are basically in chapters that we get in bits and pieces every week.



If you don;t mind Tali fics, I do recommend them. I'm sure you have folks like that in here too.

Got a somewhat interesting question I was thinking of the other day. What fanfic would you guys say does the absolute best job of describing the pre-Omega 4 relay encounter? There are so many it's impossible to wade through them all. I got my own picks but I wondered what you guys thought.

I nominate: 1) Precedent  2) Just Once 3) Night to Remember/Strange Bedfellows tie for third

An excellent list, although I'd move A Night to Remember to the front, though, as I feel it fits most naturally into the game--I can imagine all that actually happening.  I love those other 3, though.
And I'd be remiss if I didn't nominate "Reward" at least for Honorable Mention.  It takes a completely different approach, and it's well-written...even if it's more smut and less plot, it still qualifies.

I'm sorry, but I had to add something, as long as we are still kind of talking about ff, and smut-containing ones in particular...I would add "Always Be There"--THE  FIRST TWO CHAPTERS ONLY--as fitting this question even though technically Ch. 2 wasn't before the relay.  Just 'cause I love what she did with those 2 chapters.

Yes I don't have them all, I relay alot of several other people in the tali thread to supply shots I don't have. No one seemed to have the Veetor no no no no no pic handy.I make up for it with the above Pure win Garrus comic book cover shot. Tali thread member posted it a little bit ago.

Nah, it's okay. I kind of got used it (but not entirely D:) I still can't stomach explicit yaoi in case you want to go screaming down the hallway with a strong desire to be a loser with a L on paper attached to my forehead.

But the comments in the article were even more disturbing, yet hilarious

As for Garrus "night before Omega 4" I can't say I have read too many of those - will have to give some of your recomendations a go kg and Raga!

I just read "Rock Steady", I’d avoided reading it because it was non-canon Jack/Thane pairing and there are some terrible non-canon pairings out there – but it just WORKS, incredibly well written piece. Hell I even think I like Jack now.
 
Oh can only read ME slash if its part of crack fiction – all the serious stuff reminds me too much of Star Trek Spock/Kirk pairings I read many years ago, I think I’ve grown out of that phase now.

Yes!  I agree with that one.  There were some nice bits to that story, and I guess maybe this makes me a bad person but I loved that one chapter (6, I believe?) where Garrus and Shepard ruthlessly interrogated that guy.  Hehee, I may be going Renegade or something but I loved it.

Comic-Con update: Steve Blum WILL be at Comic-Con doing autographs. (Voice of Grunt, and Wilson - the guy that betrayed/killed by Miranda) I plan to get his autograph... as long as it doesn't conflict with some other panel/event i wanna attend.

Did someone mention Alan Moore before?  An Alan Moore version of Garrus on Omega would blow this fangirl away.
