Anyways, sorry if I've come across as defensive. It's fine with the extention of discussion, I was a little concern when it comes to political talks, someone and somewhere in the world might decided to start a flame wars of some sort. It's an old habit of me being cautious due to hey days back in the WoW forums. Some habits do die hard at times.

So... I've ran out of ideas at the moment and the discussion about turian culture being paralel with human culture is an interesting insight.

Kim here you go: http://www.cerberusd...taetrus&paged=7

That's a list of entires on the Taetrus blast.

Start from the bottom as those are the oldest ones and then just click "newer entries" to move on to the next page. There are like 5 or 6 pages at this point.

I never learnt about the stolen generations - wasn't part of the history lessons when I was at school (I’m a different gen to you Evil!) Some of the early convict stuff I didn’t mind and was quite interesting and as I mentioned all the explorers. Oh it’s nice to have another Aussie around welcome!

EB never had Red Dead on sale, bah. Was tempted with Metro 2033 but didn’t in the end Bioshock 2 is holding me back…..

Oh and I third fourth fifth the cowboy hat idea.

What about Garrus doing “This is OMEGAAAAAAAAAAAA”

That's great Nerjuna! Is that a Stetson? Garrus is definitely a Stetson guy.

And I don't think you have to worry about flame wars here. I've been hanging around Clan V since I delurked back in January and have yet to see one flame war. Some people have gotten their toes stepped on here and there but everybody is really good about either dropping something that gets too hot or coming to pretty civil compromises.

The Garrus threads have always been chill & laidback. That's part of why I love it.

@Andaius: Yeah, I probably should have posted in the Tali thread earlier when I was trying to figure out my MaleShep's quarian/geth opinions... I'll post there eventually. xD

@Ragabul: Thanks for the link. :) I didn't realize it was that long already. It'll probably take me a while to read it all.

Oooh... Glad I'm not the only aussie around here, good to see fellow from the same place. :D

I'm not sure how different our generations are, but it's understandable why due to the propaganda and the shame behind it at the time. Nowdays in my generation, the teachers in my school were very though about it to the point we made posters about it and we went to see "The Rabbit Fence" for our excursion. As I've said before, it's interesting and unsettling at the same time. Didn't helped that later on I've started to read a report called "Bring them back home" for my project... that was out there, but nessasry.

As for EB sales, yeah I'm not too happy about Red Dead Redemption not being on sale, yet... FFXIII was. Same goes to the PC version of Alpha Protocol yet xbox version... the price is reduced. <_<

Anyways. I would love to see a "THIS. IS. OMEGA!" version of Garrus.

Edit: As for the hat... not sure what it is. I've just picked it off from google.

Cossack Urdnot? I have heard of the legendary Buddha but that's freaking genius. I may have to read his stuff.

@ You assorted Aussies

Do you guys have gamefly or the equivalent down there?  I didn't buy Red Dead.  I just rented it via Gamefly.

Awesome, I've read some of that story. :) Will there be pictures of the other characters too? (I'm surprised Tali's character isn't there, unless she has a picture of her own somewhere.)

Not that I know of so far... Although I've heard some sort of rumours about renting games by some provider over here, but it slipped from my ear.

I don't enjoy Lovecraft  so much as I appreciate him if that makes sense.  He inspired a lot of other creative types I really admire (Mike Mignola, Guillermo del Toro.)  But I love period pieces.  I'll have to give it a go sometime.

Cool picture of Tali. And it looks like many more chapters have been added since the first time I looked. I saw Dr. Saleon's name when I looked through it real quick.

Still reading about Taetrus, and on that first page I see a "claw salute" was mentioned. That sounds... adorable. :D I want to see a turian salute in-game.

Oh I don't dislike Lovecraft.  I've just never been a really rabid Lovecraft fan.  I will try it I think as I've read just about every Garrusfic known to man and now I don't know where to go next.  And Inspector Garrus....sounds good.:innocent:
