Did anyone else notice they called it an "expansion"? Maybe that is just wishful thinking on my part and they are being liberal with words, but one can always hope...

It's been called both an expansion and a DLC, so I'm inclined to believe they're interchanging the words quite liberally.

If it was an expansion, they damn well better have significant squad banter. Would probably happen closer to ME3's release, when they have all the VAs recording ME3 dialogue already.

Haha, what if the Shep in question had also romanced Tali as well?

I had thought if you romanced someone in ME2, if this DLC does take place after the suicide mission, that Shepard would have the opportunity to make a decision on his love interest during the DLC instead of waiting until ME3. But I've always figured the actual decision was going to be more of a mature confrontation than an all out catfight, as much as that would disappoint the boys... ;)

then the dialogue could have gone like this:

*Standing over the smoldering ruins of the Shadow Broker's Lair*
Liara: I... I can't believe this.
Shepard: I know.
Liara: First, I get trapped by a Prothean Bondage Device and find out my mother's trying to kill me-
Shepard: Harsh...
Liara: Then, against all logical sense, you take me to kill my mother-
Shepard: You asked.
Liara: *shrieking* Who in their right mind wants to be around to kill their mother?!
Shepard: Well... at the time it seemed like the considerate thing to do.
Liara: Then you die, and I go through hell trying to get you back, including raising the ire of the most dangerous intelligence agency in the galaxy...
Shepard: Thanks, by the way.
Liara: ...and it turns out the Shadow Broker is my father. And we killed him.
Shepard: ...
Liara: Both of my parents wanted to kill me. We've killed both of them.
*Beat*

Liara: and then you have the frakking nerve to tell me you are with Tali now?
Shepard: what can I say? Them hips....
Garrus: damn straight, bro!
Garrus and Shepard go for bro-fist!

I can't remember, did Garrus already know that Tali was seeking out the Shadow Broker, or was that information that was given to you by either Dr. Michel or Wrex?

I don't think so.  How would people who don't buy said DLC be able to make a choice then?  Canon LI decisions made for players by devs=DA2 nerdage freak out x 150

Garrus knew Dr. Michel had a lead, but I don't think he knew about Tali until Dr. Michel tells you.

Talidoctrination is powerful indeed Posted Image

EDIT: It seems that stupidity is powerful indeed too. I completely forgot that Tali was also looking for him in ME1. Ignore my derp moment, plz, kthxbai ^^;

But yeah, I just saw the info about the new DLC. While I honestly dislike Liara, it's still good to have new content, and I am intrigued by the identity of the Shadow Broker. I am also curious how things will play out for people who romanced Liara then went for someone else in ME2...

*Beat*
Shepard:
*holds arms out* Who loves ya, baby?
Liara: *punches him in the arm*

Shepard:  Yeah, you're right.  Not me.
Liara: I can't possibly see how
this could get any worse.
Shepard:
Well... come to think if it...
Liara:
*flat* What?
Shepard: About
you and me... I don't think it's gonna work out. Also, I'm sleeping with
Tali.
Liara: *flat, too
tired to feel feelings right now* Anything else, Shepard?
Shepard: I... no, that's about it.

Then he must have known about the Shadow Broker because Fist is an agent of the Shadow Broker. Or was.

Just think that Garrus must have had many dealings where the Shadow Broker was involved while working with C-Sec. I can see that ongoing love/hate mentality where sometimes the Shadow Broker gives Garrus the break he needs to solve the case while then giving a criminal the means to escape the crime.

Somehow, I don't think Garrus was high-ranked/rich enough to have had direct dealings with the Shadow Broker. Remember that Barla Von tells you that the Shadow Broker's services cost a small fortune. Plus, I'm not quite sure Garrus would condone getting information from such a shady source.

Even back then, you had a crush on Tali, I saw it clearly from your

I don't think the Shadow Broker would consider your status if he wanted certain information to get to you. Afterall, Barla Von gave Shepard information for free because the Shadow Broker was just that pissed off about it. Anyway, certainly Garrus would have had criminals slip through his fingers because they were rich enough to use the Shadow Broker's resources to escape.

I think Garrus would also use shady sources. Just such a cop cliche, the cop that have their sources deep in the criminal world. Though I think Garrus would only have access to the Shadow Broker's agents, not the Shadow Broker. If it's something I can picture Bailey doing, it's something I can picture Garrus doing. They seem cut from the same cloth. Yep, even the "buy tickets to the C-Sec Charity Ball" aspect. I'm not going to look at Garrus with rose-tinted glasses.

Well, I just think that Garrus has a tendency to be a moral absolutist. He tends to think there are two kinds of people in the world. A) Good People B) Scum And with those he considers scum, he generally has no patience, dealings, or a desire to do anything but shoot them in the head.
