I dunno, judging by the fact that there are people over on the DA2 boards asking for NO romance in DA2, some folks would roll their eyes pretty thoroughly if a romance pack ever got made. I can just see the "omg dating sim, u bunch of lonely losers!" accusations being thrown around. Yes, they already get thrown around anyway, and sometimes going onto the general forum threads feels like a cold shower, but having a romance DLC would just make it worse. I don't know how much that would concern BW though.

My boyfriend went a bit green today LOL I was talking to one of his friends about games and he mentioned he played Mass Effect I squeeed because no one I know played it properly or at all so I warned him I was going to geek out in a few seconds . He was a rare person who cared about the story, the characters, imported their Shepard etc so we talked for a bit about the decisions, the story and ME3 theories.  

BF zoned out during it because he didn't like Mass Effect at all. Then I ask "who's your favourite squad mate?"  BF pipes up and goes "I know who hyrulegal's favourite is" in a REAL sarcastic way , friend thinks and says "Garrus" I smile and BF says "dammit" I couldn't help but laugh and say "Me too! he's space batman except he actually kills people!" Friend laughs and says that's so true and then I say that Garrus is the bro character everyone likes and should have been second in command instead of know-nothing Miranda who would have killed off team members if you actually listened to her during the suicide mission. The tone of BF was jokey by the way but I detected some annoyance there

Funny thing is, for a guy that gets huffy over my Garrus interest, he DID play mass effect 2 for a bit before getting bored with it and mentioned he liked Garrus.... before I revealed who my LI was . Suddenly Garrus isn’t so cool to him anymore! Any one else notice this with their partners? Good thing he wasn't around when I romanced Alistair!

nah, my boyfriend doesn't like Mass Effect at all. he's never even bothered playing it. I do think though that he would love it but he is TOO much of a MAAAANNNN to not play it. *yawns* 

He's still all over MW2, which is funny because I played through MW2 single player before he even started the single player because he went straight for MultiPlayer. And now he wants to lecture me about how much of a story MW2 has. I'm always like "Story? You want STORY? Play Mass Effect! " but he goes....nah!

If it was Garrus interrupting my MaleShep and Tali, he wouldn't be mad. Garrus is his friend... and if he's interrupting, he probably has a good reason. If it was someone who wasn't his friend, then this would probably be his reaction.

Lol, not this go around I haven't but I had this same type of thing happen to me.  An ex-boyfriend of mine took me to some kind of family get together of his and one of his cousins had her boyfriend over and that guy ended up being a big fan of Black Isle games so we went on and on and OOOONNN about Fallout and Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate for about two hours while our perspective partners zoned out and got all grumpy.  The only time my ex popped in was when I called JRPGs "soft" RPGs.  He was a big Final Fantasy freak.  I don't think he was jealous of the my in-game LIs.  He was just jealous of my games period.

They do. There are devs who actively post on other forums.
