oooh, shiny (new thread)!

What hasn't been discussed before, hmmmm.

What about Ridiculously Awesome Garrus moments?

Luckily I have one to start off with! (well damn that was subtle, wasn't it? Posted Image)

Mirandas loyalty mission.

3 mercs, Miranda shreds the shields on one, I blow away the armour on another then suddenly "ScopedScopedScoped and Dropped!" all 3 down in about a second with headshots.

I sit there for a good 30 seconds going "wha?" Posted Image

Just one of many reasons Garrus is so damned Impressive!

First playthrough, Jack recruitment, YMIR mech, headshot.
Garrus, somehow you just got cooler.

The best Garrus combat moment for me was definitely during Thane's recruiting mission, in the Dantius Towers. I used Neural Shock on an Eclipse, Mordin followed up with Incinerate while the guy was still thrashing in pain, and before he could recover, Garrus downed him with a concussive shot.

It was great to see.

My favorite Garrus combat moment is actually during his recruitment. Garrus, Zaeed and me up on the second floor sniping at every merc coming across the bridge. I think I positioned poor Miranda at the end of the bridge to take out any merc that actually made it across. She did alright.

Hooray, new thread! Here's to another 1000 pages!

Garrus battle awesomeness?

Tali's LM on Insanity, in the room that looks like a kitchen. Shep is hiding behind one of the counters and sniping things as best he can (it was my MaleShep, alas). Suddenly, after bringing up the ability wheel to adjust targeting, I notice that a Geth Hunter has snuck up on his left. I turn around going "oshi-", release the ability wheel to try to vault over the counter to safety, then blam!

"I love this rifle."

Dead Geth Hunter.

Had Tali not been present, MaleShep might just have gone gay for Garrus.

One of many awesome Garrus moments: Garrus steals the kill of the geth Colossus while mocking me with a "Never saw me coming!". But since that was so extremely cool I gladly forgave him.

Would you like to help with science? If you happen to be playing through the suicide mission sometime soon, care to keep track of your final two squadmates that you take with you to the final battle?

I am tracking three five elements. 1) Who holds up the omnitool for the communication with the Illusive Man? 2)If the two squadmates are in agreement about what to do with the collector base, which one speaks up? 3) If the person whose icon is on the right is the one caught by Shepard? 4) Can you flip which icon will show on the right when you reload and does the new person then get caught by Shepard? 5) Who catches Shepard each time?

For example:
Thane and Garrus. I have yet to be able to switch the icons so that Garrus is the icon on the right. Hence, Shepard always catches Thane. Garrus always uses the omnitool and he's the one who catches Shepard.

Garrus and Tali. I can get the two icons to switch places with reloads and you will definitely catch the one whose icon is on the right. However, Tali will always catch Shepard.

The ones who agree with Garrus on what to do with the collector base are Grunt, Legion, Mordin and Zaeed. To get them to speak up, you have to tell the Illusive Man the base is an abomination that you need to blow up.

If you want to know why I ask for help with this, it's because getting all the data requires 154 playthroughs of the suicide mission.

Yay! New thread!

Awesome moments, eh? I'm currently getting my ass handed to me on Horizon on Insanity so I'm grumpy as hell, but I think I have one.

It was this mission, and poetically, on "his" Shepard... I'm about to be mobbed by husks, Miranda's already dead, their armor is low or is already down. One concussive shot later, I'm down to one husk for a well-timed Charge.

Too bad I got taken out by a scion right after that.

A new thread eh? I guess I have now some courage to actually post something and not just lurk around.:)

And about how awesome Garrus is? There are no words that could actually describe his awesomeness.
I have him with me all the time and all the time he steals my kills. I won't mind though...

I only work on it when I need to kill a half hour, so it's the slowest collection of data ever. Still, it's probably the only element of the suicide mission that I don't know the exact method to its madness. I could tell you which order a squadmate gets picked up by the seeker swarms. You could give me a list of unloyal/loyal squadmates and I can even tell you if they'll all make it out alive or who is going to die. But who catches who? Don't know yet.

I'm trying to find the fan-made video of Garrus talking about naming his testicles. Or maybe it was Thane. Dang, Well, it was hilarious and I want my husband to see it. Anyone help me out?

I can try to remember what happened in two previous runs.

1st time:  Miranda + Garrus.  Garrus in 1st slot, Miranda in 2nd.  Died, they switched, caught Miranda, and was caught by her.  (That was annoying.)

2nd time:  Garrus + Thane:  No deaths, caught Thane, was caught by Garrus.  (Jacob Romance Game, unfortunately.)  Garrus held Omni-Tool, don't remember who said what.

This time, it'll still be Garrus & Thane, more than likely.  Will let you know who said what.

I also have a celebate paragon Adept going through, she'll probably bring Tali and Jack.  I'll let you know how that goes.

Oooh, yeah... I no longer have the Captain's Logs.  They're put together in Loved, now.
