Oh my god! I just flirted with Garrus for the first time! *breathes heavily*
...It was... sexy!
This also marks the first time ever in a Bioware game in which I have become romantically engaged with more than one LI!
My romances in Bioware's previous games have gone as follows:
KotOR - Carth (my first)
Jade Empire - Sky
Mass Effect - Kaidan
Mass Effect 2 - Kaidan (faithful to the first game)... and now GARRUS! (romance not completed yet of course)
Woohoo! Sorry, I don't mean to freak out or create a disturbance but... I'm just really excited at the moment!*breaks out champagne*
Welcome to the swooning over that voice. (And lots of other things.)

I have to admit, at first when my Shep made a move on him I thought he was going to react very awkwardly. He seemed to have some initial surprise, that was to be expected of course, but then he took it in his stride and acted all cool about it. YAY!
Haha, just wait....

My character is named Candice (Candy/Candi as a nickname) Shepard and is a red-haired renegade with a sassy attitude, she can appear a bit b*tchy on the outside but is a fiercely loyal friend to those who bother to get to know her and become close to her. She has had a soft spot for Garrus since ME1 but wasn't really aware of her desire/love for him until ME2. Many of her actions may seem harsh (except when it comes to Garrus, she'd never do anything bad to him) but more often than not she acts with the goal of making people into stronger individuals.
Although I quite liked the scarring on Candice's face (as it made her seem badass) it wasn't something I was planning on keeping. I role played so that the flirting between her and Garrus inspired her to buy the medical bay upgrade and remove her facial scarring, sort of meaning that he had made her feel like a new person.

More Eldar machine posted in the last 2 pages of the fleet thread if your interesting girls. Raga, maybe, but to me it more Garrus doing the age old guy thing of messing with there friends for fun.
That's precisely what I mean. I don't think he was being serious and he knew she wouldn't take it serious. He was just messing with her.

I think Garrus opened up a bit more in ME2. He's not terribly social, but I think his experience on Omega loosened him up a bit - no more rules.
In some ways having his own team did I think. However I think it got his leadership confidance shot. He goes back to following Shepard very quickly and isn't fogiving on himself for what happened to his team. Garrus doesn't really like to be the one calling the shots in the big plan it seems.

I'm not sure. I think he likes being in charge - he was the one, after all, who got frustrated with C-Sec's regulations. He does defer to Shepard though, because he highly respects her or him.Andaius20 wrote...

I think there is some turian cultural stuff at work there as well. All that stuff about "owning your mistakes" and taking responsibility for "promoting" someone who couldn't handle it. I know Garrus doesn't go for typical turian logic, but in some ways especially given what we have seen on Cerberus News I think he is a really good turian (whatever he might say.) He certainly has the turian impulse to put team in front of self. He has the turian impulse to fall in behind a competent leader. And I think other impulses are at play in how he responds to what happened on Omega. I think his break is more from C-Sec than from turians in general.
