Seems like they'd get along quite well.

Biggest difference is why and who they are fighting. Grunt fights for the most part because he's a Krogan and it's fun. After his loyalty mission, he's fighting for his battlemaster and his clan.

Garrus is fighting because he thinks it's the right thing to do, rather than it's just a fun thing to do. He wants to take down the criminal element and help rid the galaxy of corruption. If you bring Garrus along with you, he's going to see a LOT of Krogan mercenaries...so I imagine that Garrus isn't going to agree with fighting for the sake of fighting at all.

I think Garrus enjoys a good fight for the sake of fighting as well. Not all the time, fighting against corruption takes precedence. But he says he'd love to see what a stealth ship could do in a fight and he seems to enjoy when situations remind him of the good times.

Also, Grunt fights for more than just his battlemaster, he fights for his battlemaster's cause. Shepard shows Garrus how Spectres get it done. Shepard shows Grunt how battlemaster's get it done. Garrus becomes more than your usual turian and Grunt becomes more than your usual krogan.

ETA: Also, Garrus is willing to ignore the Cerberus connection to fight for Shepard and Shepard's cause. Interesting question would be if any other human had asked, would he have agreed to fight the Collectors?

I have nevah evah been able to take Garrus with me at Mordin's recruitment, I've always felt cruel and bad and such when he says "...a plague that kills turians...". I hear his words echoing in my mind when I'm choosing squadmates, and I always end up with Jacob and Miranda. Poor Garrus :3

I don't think Garrus would approve of Grunt's aggressive and reckless nature, but Garrus would probably just regard Grunt as any other Krogan. Glad that Grunt is on Shepard's team (as opposed to Shepard's opponent), but that's about it I guess. AFAIK.

Yeah my thoughts too.  And as Pacifen said if you take the renegade dialogue with Grunt re turians, you can see he doesnt hate Garrus.

Hmm I ahve to try that sometime. I just always end up doign Mordin's first so I can do upgrades ASAP. I've taken Tali on Mordins mission though! I've also taken Tali on Garrus mission. IF you assign her to stay with Garrus she says "Just like old times huh Garrus?"

The good thing is that you can get Garrus to say that line even if he doesn't go in with you, just with the conversation you have at the entrance to the quarantine district. So I've taken Garrus up to that point only to replace him with a human when I go in 'cause I'm racist like that.

When my MaleShep finally gets around to ME2, he'll bring Garrus to Mordin's recruitment. I'll finally get to hear those comments he makes. MainShep wouldn't do it, but she did want to bring him somewhere nice after that... Actually, I think she ended up being poisoned by a batarian after that.

I forgot to ask yesterday, but I thought Thane would call Shepard "Siha" in the suicide mission when he tells her not to save the base, even if Shepard didn't romance him. I've seen it mentioned a few times on the forums, but he just called my MainShep "Shepard." It seems like I'm getting all kinds of results that don't usually happen, like how I always thought Miranda was supposed to be hard to kill off, and then she gets killed off by accident. xD I'm going to try taking loyal Thane and unloyal Miranda to the Human Reaper next. If Thane doesn't catch Shepard then... I'll be surprised.

I took Garrus on Mordin's recruit, simply because I JUST GOT MY BEST BUDDY BACK, and I didn't want Bubble Butt or The Priiiiiiiiiiize at my back. Dirty Cerberus types /grumbles



I ended up taking Garrus and Jacob, but I looked up on the wiki whether or not taking Garrus would get him killed. Cause yea... I didn't want to lose him to a cough.

That was the second time I spoiled any of the game. The first was after finding out who Archangel was, and if I could nail him. XD
