I've got to say that something that really impressed me was how greatly did the game change just by the fact of having or not having council (and many other lil choices I made in ME1) when I replayed it. It was all I need to definitely fall in love with this game.

Yes, same kind of thing here!  I didn't kill the Council, but when I first met up with Tali in ME2 and she didn't really know if it was truly Shepard or not, so I said to convince her, "Do you remember when I gave you that geth data?  Did it help you on your pilgrimage?" and she slowly replied, "Yes...yes, it did.  Shepard, it's really you??" or something, I remember being floored.  I couldn't believe at the time that even this decision was carried over.  I got really excited about seeing the rest of the game then. :)
And I could never anger the adorable turian shopkeeper. :(

Honey mead I imagine works.

How so? Honey's high in protein. Does it get filtered out during the process of converting it to mead?

Vodka is fairly heavily distilled, would that be potable for turians, I wonder?

Well, vodka is basically water and ethanol distilled from grain. That doesn't sound like there would be protein in it. At most, there could be traces of carbs.

And oh, the brokenness of ME1. I'm level 46 before heading to Feros (first storyline planet). Garrus and Shep are wearing lovely matching medium Colossus armour...too bad this Shep's for Thane Posted Image Tali's got her Colossus too, Wrex has Battlemaster (he looks positively scary in that thing with the helmet on). And Garrus has a Grade X Spectre Sniper Rifle (everyone else still has Grade VII Spectre weapons).

I almost feel sorry for the geth.

@ ciaweth: Actually, honey is really low on protein (like, 3%). It's mostly sugar/carbs (80%).

OK, Johnny Dangerously. :kissing:

And Nilfalasiel, I haven't done anything at Pinnacle Station yet except put my foot in the door...I intend to go back and see if I can break it too :wizard:
But first I wanted to finish Feros.  I wants me some more dialogues with my crew!

Yeah, I was just thinking 3% was still kind of a lot, given the potential allergies involved.

My bottle of potato vodka says it has 0% protein. But I don't know if I'd trust the label enough to give it to a turian.

Uh.. if he can... we'll call it "cuddle" with Shep... I'm pretty sure alcohol isn't going to kill him.

I'd check...but Russian vodka bottles don't have composition breakdown written on them >.>

Cuz we're hardcore like that.

Ah, just carry an epinephrine injection and dare him to chuck it down.

Perhaps Garrus already drank some turian beverage to gain the bravery to... ehm.. meet Shepard. So he doesn't need another bottle to get in the mood. Therefore it's enough to bring a bottle of human wine for Shepard.

Or something like that.

It's Garrus. The most reaction he'd have to a levo-protein is probably a nose twitch.

Oh, in Russia, vodka most definitely drinks you. The male life expectancy is around 62 years old for a reason.

Never thought I'd say this being a stunch paragon RP, but when I've first played ME2, I've almost wished I let the council die. The way they dismissed the reaper threat does make me gritted my teeth hard, but then the downside to it is that the Hiarachy wouldn't be too friendly with the Alliance and I prefer to see them having friendly terms with another.

Still, I prefer to kept them alive so I can have the option to do those finger quote gesture back at the turian counseilor in ME3... hopefully

Thanks for letting me use this pic.  And I like that other one as well.

For me, I see no reason to kill the Council except for metagaming reasons.  At the moment when I chose to save them I had no way of knowing how they would react.  And honestly, I've always said that I can actually understand where the council is coming from.  If you really consider Shepard's story it is pretty darn crazy sounding.  Occam's Razer and all that.  It's much simpler to believe that Saren and the geth were behind it all.  I do think the turian councilor needlessly provokes Shepard and resents the power humanity has gained so yea, that guy does have a stick up his butt.  But I've never really had a problem with the salarian or asari councilor.  In fact,  I have a pretty healthy respect for the salarian councilor.  I could explain it but it would take a while.  And also I like the fact that relations between humans and turians have improved.  To me that is a significant stride.  It means that when the council does get their heads out of their butts hopefully we won't have as much racial relations garbage slowing us all down from unifying and giving it to the Reapers.

Yah, it somehow can sound stupid to let x>3 people die just because of three folks.
I've always considered them a symbol rather than just three people.

Well, I don't think it's that those three people are magically more valuable than other people.  That's not it all.  It's just that their deaths would cause a lot of instability and power games with people scrabbling to replace them.  Imagine what would happen if the leaders of the US, China, and Russia all got killed on the same day.  And it was the same person responsible for each of their deaths.  That would make a massive mess of international relations and stability.  As I see it, the galaxy can't afford that kind of instability if we are going to take out the Reapers.  I saw sacrificing all those people, not for three politicians, but rather for galactic stability.

Wrong, real badasses eat raw steak.  They don't eat  salad at all.

And on chirality issues.  Is it just proteins you have to worry about or is it amino acids in general?  Don't pretty much all organic substances contain amino acids even plants?  And I think the allergic reaction thing varies by turian.  I think some are horribly allergic and some aren't really allergic at all.  It's like human allergies.  Cats kinda make me sneeze.  But my sister is so allergic to them that if she stays near one she starts having trouble breathing.  Maybe Garrus is one of the turians who has no allergic reaction or else it is really mild.

And now, I am off to play with my new paragon Adept so keep the craziness going for me in the meantime.

Jack Daniels and raw meat.  That is acceptable.  Especially if eaten with the hands.

Probably digestion of proteins, because that's a chemical reaction in the body to actually breaks down a molecular compound into usable parts. Proteins are a building block for life, but that doesn't necessarily mean everything you eat is a protein.

One of the human neurotransmitters is a dextro-amino acid.
