I do wonder exactly what Garrus means with "supportive waist"... I guess I will get to know when we get the official female turians. It would be a interesting suprise if they had some features that the males don't have. I think turians would look good with horns for example.

Yeah I'm confused now Lovgreno - first I thought are they thin yet supportive (like a wasp waist - ha I can't help but think of insects...) but now several people and ff I've read talk about it being thicker - for childbirth - but I keep thinking its the hips that should be bigger not necessarily the waist - AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHH I don't know what to think anymore!!
*continues shaking fist a Bioware* - wheres the female turians developers!!???

The people that want liveborn ((not hatched from eggs)) and the people that want female turians with tiny waists can both have their way if turians are born very small like pandas or kangaroos. :P

It can be any size, as long as it expands at the appropriate time. Which is where my idea that the hip and stomach areas are unplated comes from. (Or that the plates are expandable with the appropriate hormone releasage.)

alright, uhm, since someone said something about Moonwalk and music, well, I thought, hell why not. Screw youtube. We'll see how long it will stay online

Turian moonwalk with music - thought the lyrics were quite fitting xD

and I got some more snippets for you...

That would make them creepily thin as male turians already have a very narrow waist. Nothing wrong with creepy, in fact I think female turians should look rather creepy, but if it looks like they could break on the middle it gets silly. But I admit that my opinion is highly influenced by the fact that I like women with a bit of extra volume.
Now you gone and made me confused as well.
You hear me BioWare?! I would gladly pay for a DLC with female turians!

On the discussion we had about Wrex and Garrus. I don't think Wrex likes Garrus. It's true, Wrex isn't especially considerate to the squad mates in general. But I noticed that Wrex is pretty acidic when talking to Garrus in particular.

--

Garrus: I’m surprised that you’re willing to kill your own, Wrex. Aren’t the Krogan just a few generations away from extinction?

Wrex: You don’t get it. For all your talk of honor and pride, the Turians never had to test their principle in a real struggle.

Wrex: Anyone who fights us is either stupid or on Saren’s payroll. Killing the latter is business. Killing the former is a favor to the universe.

Garrus: I'd been raised to see Krogan as bloodthirsty thugs, but you've surprised me, Wrex. You are different.

Wrex: The genophage is a lot easier to swallow when all Krogan are savage monsters, isn't it?

Wrex: Why don't you head back to the Normandy, kid? If you stay here in the real world, you might have to learn something.

Wrex: Must be hard for you, Garrus, knowing that the person behind all this death and destruction is a Turian Spectre.

Garrus: Saren is either a traitor or a madman. Taking him down will restore the good name of Turians everywhere.

Wrex: Glad to hear it, I was losing sleep over the prospect of people not liking the Turians.

Garrus: I’d love to see what the Normandy can do in a fight.

Wrex: Only an idiot hopes for combat while flying in a stealth ship.

Garrus: But the stealth drive adds a new tactical level to a space combat as we know it. Surprise attacks, undetected flanking maneuvers…

Wrex: This isn’t a strategy simulation, if those new tactics don’t work, we’re salvage.

I think that's due to the age difference between them. Garrus is young, impulsive and a hothead, wants to change the world for the better. Wrex is ages old, has seen a lot, experienced a lot. The naive young one and the world-weary old guy. Garrus is learning a lot about the world, just look at that conversation about the krogan. "Wow Wrex, you're not as mindless as 'all' those other krogan". Duh. Garrus wants to see the Normandy in a fight, Wrex knows that's not something to look forward to. Etc etc.

As for the "Glad to hear it" response, that's probably the elevator conversation that made me laugh the loudest

I think so as well. Most of what Wrex says is rather uncalled for, however.

Wrex is very amusing sometimes. I have him along with Tali on Feros for my current playthrough. (Garrus had tostay back on the SR1 because I'm going for Quarian Sympathizer...I do love to bring Wrex and Garrus everywhere normally--good mix of tech and biotics withsomeold fashionned ass-kicking.)) ;)

Wrex reminds me of my grumpy grandfather sometimes, with his blunt manner and jaded outlook. And also sometimes the S*** My Dad Says guy.

Yes, well, that's my Wrex. :D

Interesting btw that Garrus says that he's been raised to see krogan that way. Makes me wonder if he was raised to see other species as 'less' than turians too, since he's pretty 'turians are awesome'-y in ME1.

I just don't think it's as strong as active dislike or hatred, though.

Well, Turians were the ones who deployed the genophage. I would wager that some Turians have the sense that they have the right to police or watch over other races.

True, I don't think that Wrex would go out of his way to ruin Garrus' day or anything, but Wrex definitely doesn't like him.

Wrex is a smart enough guy to take them on an individual basis, no matter the collective reputation.

Yeah, that's what I think so too. I think Wrex isn't reacting the way he does because Garrus is Garrus and/or a turian, more in a "crap, this guy really needs to grow up" way.

Great idea Hyrule, that is how it should have been. Also a little extra dialouge should be added if Shep is flirting with Garrus or Tali:

Wrex: And talking about against the unknown; I notice the looks you two are giving eachothers. always looking for a new challenge are you Shepard?

Tali: You know me Wrex, always the diplomat. *MaleShep smiles at her*

Garrus: And talking about big guns... *FemShem shakes her head and smiles*

It is especially silly that Liara had nothing to say if you romanced her.  I mean, you potentially kiss her in front of your LI and they say nothing?  Even just an awkward little shuffle animation or some Garrus mandible flaring there would have been nice, but just stand there all oblivious.  I know they can't realistically account for all the variables with this many squaddies and they have to be careful about showing the returning ones too much preferential treatment but there are some things I had trouble buying.  Them having nothing to say to Liara and Wrex or nothing to say about Ash/Kaidan if you romanced them being among those things.

I don't think I've posted in two days... Luckily, there aren't too pages to catch up on. xD First of all, I voted for Garrus in the t-shirt poll. If it's only going to be available online, it doesn't matter to me anyway, but if they're available in stores, I think I would buy a t-shirt for any one of those characters. (Forgot exactly who is on the poll already.)

That "I <3 Garrus" picture just might be the first Mass Effect image I save. It's so cute.

For some reason I like it when Saren says (very dismissively) "This meeting *has* no purpose!"  He's like, I'm a Spectre, why are you silly Council members wasting my valuable time with this ridiculous human and her (his) accusations?  Begone! :P

I heard that line in Saren's voice when I read it. :) Most of my favorites are probably from Revelation. I liked him in ME1, but he didn't become my favorite character until I read the novel.

Saren: I have two rules I follow. The first is: never kill someone without a reason.
Anderson: And the second?
Saren: You can always find a reason to kill someone.

Also, Saren talking to the batarian. And pretty much any line he says.

Another similarity in our playthroughs, by the way - make Sidonis talk, then let Garrus kill him.

Now, for the current topic of discussion: I agree with what Cerrydd said about Garrus and Wrex. I don't think Wrex hates him, but he probably thinks that a lot of Garrus' views are naive or maybe even ignorant, and that Garrus needs to grow up a little. It's interesting that Garrus seems to be raised with negative opinions about the krogan, possibly quarians too, but not humans. Maybe it's because his father works with C-Sec, and there are a lot of human C-Sec officers. Actually, many of the mercs they have to deal with are probably krogan.
