doesn't change the fact, that I now can't wait to get home, reload the save and then enable flycam JUST to see if Thane is doing something up there lol xD

Nice pic, but it's kind of ironic, considering Garrus doesn't seem to like Ashley very much (from the discussion about how he greets her or Kaidan on Horizon).

As for whether Garrus has had any serious relationships before, it doesn't seem that way to me. He seemed to be very focussed on his job and very driven: probably not a lot of time to get involved with emotional stuff. Flings of the "blowing off steam" kind though, yeah.

Do you guys think he has taken part in anything at all but idle flings? The equivalent of reach and flexibility female turian. Anything more serious than that?

No I think he's been too busy to be involved in anything other than casual affairs.  But I'm sort of interested in the whole idea of how turians approach relationships.  Culturally speaking - they obviously have marriage, but how formal/informal is "courting" and what is turian socities attitude to couples who are defacto?

Yeah, my understanding of flings is more "casual relationships" rather than "one-nighters". So yeah, casual girlfriend, why not. Or friend with benefits.

I have no idea on turian courtship. I don't think they would be as drawn out about it as humans. I can see turians hooking up for practical reasons sometimes. However, I can also see them genuinely developing feelings for someone and actively pursuing them. I don't see them buying into stuff about star crossed lovers or love conquering all or that kind of thing. I think marriage for them probably has a more practical side as well. So less romantic than humans I"d say, but still not so unromantic that they are completely business-like about it. Garrus is certainly evidence that they have some courtship rituals. "If you were a turian, I'd be complimenting, yada, yada." And him not wanting to sound "dirty and clinical." Still I don't see them proscribing to something like say Romeo and Juliet. I think they might find that over the top.

To be fair, a lot of people nowadays think that Romeo and Juliet is over the top.

But considering that turians do seem to see sex as a valid means of relieving tension, I'd say that they do have a more matter-of-fact approach to these things.

Garrus seemed to have never been in a serious relationship. Not that he can't, just that he hasn't.
