@ Aris Ravenstar: That is definitely a gorgeous piece of art. Well done!
Miranda + Scion = Ogod what is this I don't even...
FemShep +Elcor, on the other hand =
*with a barely contained outburst of ecstasy* Yes. Oh yes. Oh god yes. Yeeeees...
Concerning Harkin, since he's supposedly a master at making people disappear, I think it's only logical that he should know who exactly his clients are running from. It makes sense to me, at least.

When it comes to Alistair, I'm in the very tiny minority that found him kinda 'meh' as an LI. I think he's a great character, but is also someone I would've appreciated more 10 years ago. I thought Zev's romance was, ultimately, incredibly sweet and much more realistic. But from a RPing perspective, he never really clicked with my Wardens.
Alistair's romance, which I've only done for achievement's sake thus far (and reloaded afterwards) feels like a sugar-high to me. It's incredibly sweet and it makes you giggly...but ultimately you know that it won't last and that it's bad for you. And yes, I might've appreciated it more if I'd been younger (god, that makes me sound like an old crone...)
Zev's one, on the other hand...mmmmm.
Concerning LI fights...I really don't see Garrus arguing with anyone. He'd feel hurt, yes, but I think he'd be too proud to duke it out, even verbally. He'd just walk away and nurse the shreds of his heart in a dark corner somewhere.
I see Ashley starting a verbal brawl though. And Jack too (physical brawl also highly likely). Jacob would also get pissy. Liara...would probably murder the other LI in their sleep. With her mind. Miranda would probably be coldly ****y with a veneer of perfect civility over it. Tali would be very upset, probably run away to cry, but I think she'd only lash out if the other LI were being condescending. Thane...he'd just take it like a man. Kaidan might be a bit cold, but he'd also be calm about it. Or at least, try to be.

I've only seen a few screenshots of the Garrus rejection scene. I wouldn't watch the video, and the same goes for videos of Garrus dying in the suicide mission. The last time I mentioned that I hadn't watched it, the response here was pretty much - "No, don't do it!"
Same here. It was bad enough that I saw him die during his RM on Insanity

I still want to know how the hell Harkin knew about where Garrus had been, darnit.
This is really going to bug me.
But if TIM's telling the truth, then Garrus' identity as Archangel is the best kept secret in the galaxy. How did Harkin know? Sidonis is probably just a blabber mouth, but in a game full of conspiracies...

Yeah, I always assumed Sidonis told him. It's the boring explanation, but makes the most sense.

I think it's true. Carth's a good character, but I got tired of trust issues. I gave up talking to him because it felt like that's all we'd ever discuss. And I just talked to Jolee and Canderous instead.Nilfalasiel wrote...
Ok, given all the positive reactions about Carth, I'm guessing it's the male players who hate his guts then.
That makes sense. If Sidonis only said that he's running away from "Archangel," then that would be pretty vague. Can't run away from someone like that.Concerning Harkin, since he's supposedly a master at making people disappear, I think it's only logical that he should know who exactly his clients are running from. Well he doesn't really. It's really either half-truths or technicalities. Or something similarly deceptive.Sialater wrote...

Would it help EvilShep to say that he never found her more attractive than when she murders people with her mind? xD Probably not, but worth a try. Liara, Miranda, and possibly Morinth (technically not romanced because he'd be dead) confrontation for him. Lots of biotic destruction aboard the Normandy in ME3.Nilfalasiel wrote...

Can someone describe the Miranda/Scion video for me? I can't see it, and it sounds so hilarious. I imagine a Scion coming up behind her in the engine room part of her romance scene instead of Shepard. Is this accurate?

It probably wouldn't help, no, lol. But wow, your Normandy SR2 is gonna end up in worse shreds than the SR1.

It's basically the entire scene with a Scion instead of MaleShep, including the elevator part. So yes, he comes up behind her, then they end up on the floor, lacy bra, Normandy eezo core.
And the Scion is fricking repulsive.

Also, since Harkin knows how to erase people for a living, why couldn't Garrus do it effectively with the same tools, only on himself.
Anyway... I'm going to drive myself nuts over this. Sounds like something I need to just put in my fic.

I honestly don't know what they could come up with as a storyline for Garrus in ME3. I'm under the impression that, since the Reapers are, almost literally, at the doorstep, it would be kind of odd to have completely unrelated scenarios for the sole purpose of meeting his father. Much as I would laugh at meeting a grumpy Papa V...I just don't feel he belongs in the plot of ME3 at all. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's just the impression I have.
I can kind of see scenarios where there's romance content in the process of fairly unrelated missions. Perhaps if we go to Palaven with Garrus or something, someone on the way is going to recognize Garrus and go "You're with a human?" Or maybe we meet an old friend of his - most plausibly (or preferably) someone we'd meet even if Garrus wasn't there or even if you didn't romance him, and that person congratulates Garrus, etc. Stuff like that. Basically flavouring certain missions depending on who is there and who you romanced (if anyone).
As for Zev, I'd call it a niche following. The people who do like him think he's great, but he's the least favourite LI of the DA:O bunch.
I heard that the romance takes quite a sweet tone after the Taliesin thing.

Garrus has distanced himself away from the merc bands. Harkin though embraced them. Merc bands would be quite versatile in just about anything small-scale.

Indeed. And the reason it's my favorite romance in DA is the fact that you have to work at it. You can sleep with him pretty much right away, but it takes more than that to get him to finally open up near the end of the game.

In that case, biotic barrier time! Except EvilShep doesn't have Barrier... He'll have to sleep with his armor on. Then TIM will ask him how the (2 billion credits?) Normandy got destroyed, and probably facepalm when EvilShep says "a really big biotic catfight."Nilfalasiel wrote...

Yeah, you actually need to reject his gift when he first offers it if you want to get his most heartfelt dialogue. Because Zev is all about trying to hide the truth, especially from himself.

I don't think Garrus really cared when he went to Omega. As in, I don't think he felt the need to be particularly thorough about his disappearance. C-Sec wouldn't come looking for him, and he hadn't committed any crimes worth disappearing from. I think he was just upset and thought "to hell with it". I also think that he'd never accept to have dealings with shady scum of the Harkin kind.

Oh sorry, I thought you meant why Garrus hadn't used someone with the same skills as Harkin to make himself disappear after leaving for Omega. I didn't say he used Harkin specifically.

I said HE has the same skills. Could probably do a better job, too.

Here are some screenies, though.
First romance conversation:

Somehow I get the feeling that the Miranda fans are going to kill me for posting that kissing screenshot. Oh well.
Second romance conversation (includes the SCARY SHEPLOO SMILE!):

Who ever said anything about love?

I'm just trying to get you into bed...and eat you alive! MUHAHAHAHAHA!

Miranda was less than pleased with this revelation.

But then Mordin assured her that his love for her was greater than his urge to eat every human alive.

And then they hugged.
