Thanks guys!! Thats why I love hanging here!

I just visted another thread (no names) dropped some stuff off that might have been of interest to them - the response - HAILSATAN? I mean WTF? Some of the people on these boards are just outright freaks.

Having just said that - Garrus is awesome and now its cake stuffing time!!!!

Mmmm, cake. Silly question time; what flavor cake do you think would be Garrus' favorite if he could eat cake?

Not sure if this has been asked before in the many, many pages of discussion. I say... Spice cake! :3

I hate to say, but I think Garrus probably has gag inducingly simple tastes with sweets. I can see him going nuts over something simple and stupid like oreos and Nilla wafers. Sugar cookies with sprinkles and donut holes. He's the sort that would get the stuff from those carnival stands that makes you feel like you've been kicked in the guts by a horse.  Fried twinkies.  *shudder*  He reminds me of Hellboy sometimes. A sort of working class hero. Good taste in rifles and gear. Minimalism and simplicity in everything else. That's my guess.

If I don't get what I like and hope for in ME3, I am going to try my level best to not succumb to this pessimism and antagonism bull so many other people have.  It's easy to say that now from a position of privilege I know, but I"m gonna give it my best shot.  I've seen how ugly that stuff can get and I want no part of it.

You might be right, Ragabul. I think spice cake or something more classy and exotic is what we imagine Garrus would like, but probably not what he'd really like. Besides, he was a cop! I bet he'd be all about the donuts. ::total stereotype:: xD

Also, I now imagine Garrus enjoying funnel cake like a little kid on a sugar buzz, and then he gets called on a mission and it's back to Mr. Business, but Jack or somebody notes he still has powdered sugar all over his 'lips'.

Oh, I think he'd eat that other stuff. I just think he'd have no idea what it was. He's like my dad. If I asked my dad if he wanted a truffle, he'd ask "what the hell is a truffle?" Once he ate though he would like it. He'd probably just call it something like "chocolate doohickey" though.

What do you think is next for Garrus, after the Reapers are gone? Romanced or unromanced?

What is this unromanced Garrus Collider?

Some random AU thing, that you are pitching when the series hits a lull to kick in viewers?

Well, romanced I expect he'll stay with Shep and what happens there kinda depends on the Shep in question. None of my Sheps are the settling down sort. They'll go on looking for bad guys to stomp until they are dead or too old to lift a rifle.

Non-romanced Garrus, well, it's hard to say. I'd like to think he'd get some kind of position of authority, but come to think I don't think he is the management type. I think he'd always be happier in the field. Honestly, I can kind of see Garrus scratching his head and looking around and not knowing quite what to do with himself. If Shepard wanted him around I think he would stay. He might could be a decent Spectre, but I don't know anymore. He's become pretty jaded about pretty much anything dealing with "official" channels. Omega 2.0? Garrus needs a good hopeless cause to get behind.

For my Shep, I believe the phrase "MAI HUSBANDO" would accurately portray the Garrus situation after the Reapers.

Neither Shepard or Garrus would really 'retire' from kicking ass and taking names. I could imagine some sort of 'going home' based on your Shepard's background.

I guess a lot of it depends on where Shepard is after the Reapers are gone. I don't know if I see ME3 having the same self-sacrificing themes as Dragon Age. But sometimes I worry that Shepard's interact with the Reapers too many times. I'm not expecting Saren-level indoctrination, but maybe some influence.

It was the result of a mad experiment in which my limbs were turned into red chainsaws and Duke Nukem Forever was released. Out of the humming warphole came a Shepard who did not romance him, but bromanced him, proving that even other dimensions love Garrus.

I'm biased with what I -want- to happen here, but.. Romanced, obviously he and Shepard live awesomely ever after. I don't imagine either of them settling down into a quiet life, personally, so instead they travel the universe righting wrongs, becoming like warrior gods, the stuff of legends. <3

Non-romanced, I think he will either...

A: Continue to stay with Shepard and go on adventures just because they're best buds and Shepard is where the excitement is at.

OR

B: become a Spectre himself, doing what he was trying to do in Omega but on a larger scale and with the council behind him, and becoming the new turian Spectre poster boy to redeem their name after Saren. He won't keep travelling with Shepard, but obviously they'll cross paths now and again, maybe team up for the really tough jobs.

Neither is mutually exclusive. I'm pulling for him to become a Spectre. He deserves it.

I have an unromanced Garrus. Kaidan's Avery. Sacrilege, I know.

He's still got a home on the Normandy as long as it's in one piece and in Shepard's possession.

I agree. I want Garrus to get some awesome apart from Shepard. He's like Shep's shadow and I appreciate him for it, but he deserves a few roses thrown his way as well.

I wonder if his ending (if the fortune that there is one specifically for him) unromanced will have to do with how Shepard mentored him (if at all). I could see something like that.

Had I the choice, I might go for my Shepard traveling or adventuring with Garrus as pals. Depends what happens with my Shep's LI.

That's kind of what I view happening. It seems they wrote Garrus so that Shepard mentors him in the first two games and then he takes the charge in the third. There's already signs of this, I think. In ME2 the relatationship becomes less "student-mentor" and more "buddy-buddy" or "partners."
