I think the hump on their back is kind of weird. I have mostly gotten used to it, but I still don't like it that much. Also the length of their head from the side, how it is longer than it is tall can kinda fritz my brain out a little. Turian fingers when they wear civvy gloves can be a little creepy as well. With no gloves or when wearing armor though their hands don't bother me. It's weird.  I really like turian legs.  I have an unapologetic thing for leg spurs and digitigrade feet.  I also think the fringe is awesome looking especially from the top.  This looks awesome:

I maintain that Turians are the best designed aliens I've seen in science fiction. I really love the fringes. They look awesome.

LOL, that motivational is funny (and I am an ME1-elevator riding-fringe-starer)) :P

And I still don't understand that back thing, but I like it if only because it makes them different.

Well, I think elites from Halo are pretty darn awesome as well. And believe it or not I like those "Cloner" things from the planet Kamino in Star Wars Episode II. They are kinda standard looking but those were the most interesting aliens Star Wars ever made, movie-wise IMO.

But yes, overall I think ME has the best aliens ever. Turians are the coolest looking. But I think that the krogan, the quarians, and the salarians also have some really interesting biology and history.

I agree.  They would look more generic without it.  It just took me time to get used to it.  It doesn't really bother me anymore.  Amuses me more than anything.

I liked the Cardassians from Star Trek as an alien look. There was always something strangely appealing about Tora Ziyal (although she was half-Bajoran.)

The Cardassians were really cool-looking. But IMHO the Bajorrans (sp?) were a total rip-off. "Oo, nose ridges, how ALIEN." /huge eyeroll

Sorry OT all. If I were home I'd post the "Shepard giving Garrus a fringe rub" drawing. :P

Do you think it is hard for turians to distinguish between human facial features? I mean if you subtract obvious stuff like hair color and hair length? And do you think we would have a much rougher time if they didn't have facepaint? I've never had issues telling them apart myself, but they have a wide range of skin tones and the paint is variable. If I had to distinguish purely on facial features I don't know if I could manage.

Here you go:

Yep, I think so.  Red-head Shep giving Garrus a fringe rub in a state of scantilycladness?  That's the one.

I'm still trying to figure out how to play Noveria for MaleShep. It fits him better to go to the Hot Labs first, but then he misses out on the cure... decisions, decisions.

Also the DLC decisions she doesn't get in-game, she would have gladly helped Zaeed with his revenge and let the Overlord project continue because her relationship with TIM is based on favors like that.

Your mainShep should seek professional help. Simply thinking of Overlord DLC makes me a sad panda.

I have a lot of Shepards who would let the project continue because they think it could be useful. MainShep's choice there is only unique because she would do it as a favor for TIM. My current MaleShep would only disapprove because it's Cerberus - he's the type who would normally go along with things like this, but his grudge about Akuze means that everything Cerberus does is wrong in his eyes. Well, except resurrecting him, giving him a new Normandy, and leading him to some old teammates. But everything else, wrong! xD

I agree about turians being the best-designed aliens ever, and about turian fringe being awesome. I stare at it all the time in the ME1 elevators too.

I love turians and quarians because they are based off dextro-DNA which is just so refreshing after all the other aliens I've seen in fiction.

Also because two of my favorite characters are those two races, but who cares about those two.

That just reminded me of his reaction in Chora's Den if you bring him and Wrex and let the warehouse workers go.

Wrex: Would have been quicker to just kill them.
Garrus: (somewhat exasperated): Shooting people isn't always the answer!

funny, if you take Ash/Kaidan and Garrus, it's Garrus who says "Why have I never thought of that?" and then the other having the line "Shooting people isn't always the answer"

Good morning everyone. Last day at work today, then two and half weeks off, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I'm a fringe starer too. I demand a topless turian in ME3 for personal staring satisfaction science. I like Drell as well. I think they are pretty cool. The fact, that their ring and middle finger are there but kinda one, makes me wonder if that's the same case with their toes. Still, just the two fingers alone make for a double-epic rude hand gesture xD

That   statement should follow by Garrus getting a affectionate slap on the back on the head from Femshep

I especially liked the Turians and Quarians because I felt they had faults and interesting cultures.

The Asari I did not find interesting, and the Salarians have not yet been fleshed out enough - they're almost universally these fast-talking manipulators who are always hiding something. The Krogans are also somewhat one-sided but not to the same extent. The Vorcha and the Batarians are one dimensional at this point. Volus, Elcor, and Hanar haven't been represented enough.

It must be another one of those morality changes. The squadmates' Paragon/Renegade opinions in ME1 depend on which ones you bring with you. I've always brought Garrus and Wrex, so I never got to hear that other line. Too bad, it sounds awesome.

I think salarian biology is interesting. And how they process data. The fact that Mordin can come to terms with killing Maelan inside of a few hours is pretty remarkable. And the no sex drive thing is weird and interesting. The fact that 90% of the species is male. The fact that they are warm blooded amphibians. I dunno. I think they are pretty interesting. I agree we haven't seen much beyond the fast talking manipulator thing. I just happen to really like the fast talking manipulator thing so it works for me.

And I don't like asari either. They are the biggest complaint I have about the whole series. I can kinda make the melting people into goo and making a Reaper of them thing make sense in my head. But not the asari. I almost wish that crap you hear at the bachelor party WAS the case. For me that would make them a little more interesting and a little more believable. I know that is just for lulz, but I pretend it is the case sometimes. Help me get over them.

However, I still think even when Garrus goes renegade there with "I never would have though of that" that he is kinda implying he is impressed with what Shep did. I always got that vibe from paragon Garrus in ME1. He is genuinely impressed by Shep being a paragon. He's just never met a paragon that both gets the job done and has good reasons for doing what they do. I think it blows his mind a little.

Agreed - I do find the Salarians interesting too. Only thing is that we haven't gotten too much insight in their culture. We did with the Turians because they were everywhere, and there was a lot of interaction, which is understandable given that there's this Turian-Human rivalry going on for some people. Lots of Turians in C-Sec, etc. Hopefully we'll get to go to Palaven. I wonder if Shepard would need to wear armor/suit there.

IIRC he's also impressed if you choose the Renegade answer, because either one will let the workers leave.
Edit: Ha, my video was from the Renegade PT xD lol. I think, Paragon option was telling them to find a new job.

Yes for ...science...Posted Image... sexy, topless science. I was shocked that Thane didn't show any skin during his last romance scene, considering they designed him have the physique of a human male that would be appealing to women.
