It's easier for me to play evil in DA:O than in Mass Effect. Partly because I feel more attached to the ME team. Partly because of the disconnect caused by Dragon Age's lack of protagonist voice acting. Part of the reason why it may be hard for people to play evil in Mass Effect is because we get to hear Shepard's seething words.

Oh, I could never manage to side against the Republic in KOTOR. Jolee was my favorite character.

For me it was the opposite. Hearing Jennifer Hale deliver every snarky Renegade line just drew me into the character that much more than a silent protagonist would.

Looks better than my version, Jane. I'm sure the Tali thread will appreciate it.

unfortunately i don't have ps anymore. I work with gimp now. but it also comes with a clone stamp, if you wanna try that one out, Xsause. You basically use it to copy different pieces from one area of the pic to the area where you need it, covering the stuff you don't want to be there. It's a bit of work, but often well worth it. and you can use different types of brushes in gimp for the clone stamp just like in photoshop, to have sharper or more fuzzy edges. pretty useful tool. anoying in pictures with different lights and therefore different colours but very amazing if you have structures like those wires or columns in the background where it's way easier to copy from.

I noticed for the Garrus and Tali cuddles, there's weird stroking of the air. Someone using flycam (I think that's what it's called) managed to get this:

Has anyone tried the same for the Garrus cuddle?

I'd look, but I don't have access to ME2 right now. I'll check tomorrow, promised.

I have I think, but never took pictures of it. Funny enough, throughout all the romances lol the cuddling looks weird from different angles. Sheppy basically sinks right into Garrus' fringe once, or Thane basically hides his hand in Shep's shoulder. xD

I think I have another picture of a Shep and Garrus convo that looks rather funny with flycam lol. I'll try to find it.

Garrus: Shepard, your hand, it's in my fringe!

Shepard: Relax, Garrus. I'd never do anything that made you feel uncomfortable.

I never figured out how to Side with  Werewolves... I love  Witherfang she is coolest damn character in that game.

You need to have a very high Persuade score. The option shows up when she first asks you to go get Zathrian. But even the Lady feels bad about that decision, so yeah...The sole fact that you need to have maximum Coercion to get her to do it is enough evidence for it.

You basically go back to the Dalish camp and slaughter everyone. Considering they had absolutely nothing to do with the original curse...yeah, I felt terrible.

And it's even worse if you have Zevran with you. He basically begs you not to, saying that his mother was Dalish, and that he's usually not sentimental, but this doesn't sit well with him. Since he really doesn't speak up about your choices very often, it makes it all the more Posted Image

Okay really good... I have no  Qualms with   killing them ... well most of them.... I will have to do this on my Human Warrior.

I agree on the not being able to be evil thing. I can't let random people die. I just can't do it. Now I can shoot terrorists in the head. That I can do. I still don't like torture. I don't like random punch interrupts. I just want to get the deed over and done with. Likewise, I don't like it when Shep goes on about how tough and badass she is. It just makes her sound like an idiot. A badass just points and shoots and walks away. Like when that dying batarian in Bring Down the Sky asks "whose the real terrorist here" and Shep just goes "You" in a cool voice and shoots him. THAT'S badass and efficient. Waving my gun and screaming and kneeing a guy in the crotch is just silly posturing.

Oblivion was the only game where I could design a character and be classic evil and enjoy but there is no attachment to anybody in that game. I couldn't be rotten in Fallout. That place is horrible enough without me adding to it. I don't know of a setting more in need of a pure paragon than the Capitol Wasteland. I don't mind playing "pre-mad" bad buys however. Like Kratos or the various main characters of Rockstar games. Those guys don't bother me because I don't feel attached to them. I feel more like I am just watching them.

That's not his fringe though. That's his collar. The fringe is what he has on his head.

I have done one evil thing. For an achievement. I killed Glint in Guild Wars. It really sucks that you have to kill an awesome, good dragon for the damned bonus, but that's the way the game goes. I try to avoid it now with my other characters.

And a Garrus since I'm OT.

Ah, she's immortal anyway, so it doesn't matter. Stealing her eggs is fun! :D

Guild Wars is the only game I've played in which I had a dance-off with an evil god (AKA the final boss). And got killed for it. "You got served!" indeed.

What happened to Garrus inbetween ME1 and ME2 was quite the homage to the Bible.
12 team members - disciples. The fact that Garrus was loved by the common folk.

Archangel itself means "A powerful angel that leads many other angels." That was the name the locals gave him, and it fits. His team was the only light in the hopeless situation Omega was in.

And there's Judas...or Sidonis.

Though these parallels to the Bible sometimes worry me. I don't want them to take it too far. I want Mass Effect to be it's an own game. I don't want Shepard to die at the end.

EVERYTHING on Omega has some sort of afterlife/hell symbolism.

This is my biggest worry. I hope they don't think it'll be 'dramatic' to kill Shepard or Shepard's LI. I've already been through that frustration with DA:O as an Alistair romancer.

Yeah, I thought so too, but he only has 11 disciples. They're 12 with him. Too bad. The Sidonis/Judas parallel would've been too convenient to be true.

You don't have to have the exact number for the parallel to be successful, just for it to be obvious.
