It's easier for me to play evil in DA:O than in Mass Effect. Partly because I feel more attached to the ME team. Partly because of the disconnect caused by Dragon Age's lack of protagonist voice acting. Part of the reason why it may be hard for people to play evil in Mass Effect is because we get to hear Shepard's seething words.

I never figured out how to Side with Werewolves... I love Witherfang she is coolest damn character in that game.
You need to have a very high Persuade score. The option shows up when she first asks you to go get Zathrian. But even the Lady feels bad about that decision, so yeah...The sole fact that you need to have maximum Coercion to get her to do it is enough evidence for it.
You basically go back to the Dalish camp and slaughter everyone. Considering they had absolutely nothing to do with the original curse...yeah, I felt terrible.
And it's even worse if you have Zevran with you. He basically begs you not to, saying that his mother was Dalish, and that he's usually not sentimental, but this doesn't sit well with him. Since he really doesn't speak up about your choices very often, it makes it all the more

Garrus: Shepard, your hand, it's in my fringe!
Shepard: Relax, Garrus. I'd never do anything that made you feel uncomfortable.

I have done one evil thing. For an achievement. I killed Glint in Guild Wars. It really sucks that you have to kill an awesome, good dragon for the damned bonus, but that's the way the game goes. I try to avoid it now with my other characters.
What happened to Garrus inbetween ME1 and ME2 was quite the homage to the Bible.Nilfalasiel wrote...

That's not his fringe though. That's his collar. The fringe is what he has on his head.
And that calibration pic looks like he's got a halo. Archangel indeed

12 team members - disciples. The fact that Garrus was loved by the common folk.
Archangel itself means "A powerful angel that leads many other angels." That was the name the locals gave him, and it fits. His team was the only light in the hopeless situation Omega was in.
And there's Judas...or Sidonis.
Though these parallels to the Bible sometimes worry me. I don't want them to take it too far. I want Mass Effect to be it's an own game. I don't want Shepard to die at the end.
This is my biggest worry. I hope they don't think it'll be 'dramatic' to kill Shepard or Shepard's LI. I've already been through that frustration with DA:O as an Alistair romancer.Collider wrote...
