I have seen some symbolism that could be taken for Biblical but I tend to take it with a grain of salt. For one, such is just the marks of a really good story. Nothing makes you hate a guy quite so much as betrayal and nothing makes you sympathize quite so much as a martyr.  But come to think there are a lot of Biblical images and words floating around on Omega.

You don't have to have the exact number for the parallel to be successful, just for it to be obvious.

Eh, I guess not. They probably wanted a convenient out in case someone got pissed off about the comparison.

Yeah... the last thing they needed was Fox News running a story about a turian Jesus.

Awesome! Posted Image

Reminds me when I went to a Depeche Mode concert...My friend and I had made ourselves t-shirts that said "Reach out and touch...Dave!" (as in Dave Gahan, of course)

Some of the band's roadies noticed us after the concert, lol.

Rejecting Jack in her romance scene is also pretty darn stiff stuff.  The only game I have ever enjoyed being nasty in is Oblivion.  The Dark Brotherhood as a vampire is just too darn fun.  It helps that you only kill random people you don't know.

Yea but somewhere along the Dark Brotherhood story I had to do something I didn't really want to...not to mention the WTF ending.

Did you play Fallout 3?  <snip because I just got to Xsause's post about precisely the same thing...never you mind>:blush::pinched:

And the Mission/Zaalbaar thing was the worst thing I ever did to nonexistent people.  I reloaded and replayed many hours to get that horrible taste out of my mouth.  I'll never, ever reject Garrus in the final romance scene of ME2, either...not even for science.  They can take my lab coat away, I don't care. :pinched:

And yeah Xsause, the LOD on that pic is very impressive, although it's bugging me now that Nihlus has way too many teeth. LOL

Cia I'd like to give you another Internet for that wonderful interpretation of a Depeche Mode classic, but it sounds like you have lots already. (can't seem to post smileys today but I am grinning from ear to ear)

I am up to chapter 12 now kg, I saw the author had added another. Too much Garfield is never enough. Oh and where is that Nihlus/Saren pic from?

OT how sensitive do you think turian fringes are?

Chapter 14 has Garrus. LOL

Nihlus-Saren pic I found randomly on Deviantart. I had never seen it before.

I wonder that about fringes too Buggirl, as the fics always seem to talk about them being sensitive or even erogenous zones. I never would have thought of that before reading about it, so I don't know.

Don't you think they should be a little bendy, otherwise how could they sleep in any kind of normal bed?

If not, what do you think their beds resemble? We don't see any normal bed for Garrus, so we must speculate....

They look moderately flexible to me. But probably not enough to sleep on. I always thought turians may be prone to using headrests rather than pillows. Either that, or sleep on their side. That would bypass the fringe problem.

Not for Saren though. Posted Image

On a topic that was broached earlier, I just came across something interesting. When you talk to Aria about her history with Patriarch, she says that she bested him because his men got used to certain "advantages" of working with asari and abandoned him in droves. She mentions that it was because of "skills that my people try to downplay". What if she's referring to the "mind control" abilities they talk about at the bachelor party? Because I don't see anything else that asari would downplay that could be advantageous to them in a situation like that. Everyone knows about their mating habits. But the fact that they could be able to manipulate minds doesn't seem like common knowledge.

Yes, I know that the bachelor party is largely tongue-in-cheek. But it would actually be interesting if they did think about integrating that detail into the storyline.

The fringe would have to be pliable in someways, as would the spurs on their legs, perhaps more like cartilage rather than bone. The skin on turian necks looks softer so it could also be that the fringe acts as some form of protection as would the turian collar.
