Apologies if this has already been posted before, but I was reading an old article and found some CGI pictures of Garrus if anyone hadn't seen 'em. The model is so nice that it would make for a good halloween mask if Bioware was ever so inclined. =p

I'm all for the collar acting as some kind of protection. Also, I vote for partially-flexible spurs, or else putting on pants would be very problematic.

Those baby turian pics a few pages back are adorable. And that Garrus model is really cool. I never noticed there were bandages on his neck too.

@kglaser: I've never seen that pic before. Poor Nihlus... but Saren is there! This reminded me that the first thing I thought when I saw Saren was, "Awesome, it's another one!" (Meaning, another turian. I always liked them.) That was before I noticed there was anything different about him compared to normal turians. Refund turian was right about that, they all looked the same to me at first except for the colors.

@Nilfalasiel: I think Retribution mentions turian beds, but I haven't read it myself to know if there's any description about them. I've wondered about how Saren manages to sleep though. xD He started it by telling Anderson he needed to get some rest before the mission. "Saren sleeping... that's so cute! *looks at his fringe* Wait, how does that work?"

Stuffed varren, maybe? xD I'm not sure. I imagine Saren playing with model ships and other military-style action figures as a kid. It seems like the sort of thing turian boys would do.

Well, if there's any parallel with human boys, it could just as easily be stuffed toys as vehicles...probably both.

Although my brother slept with a stuffed football for years when a child. XD

Rejecting Jack in her romance scene is also pretty darn stiff stuff.  The only game I have ever enjoyed being nasty in is Oblivion.  The Dark Brotherhood as a vampire is just too darn fun.  It helps that you only kill random people you don't know.

Yea but somewhere along the Dark Brotherhood story I had to do something I didn't really want to...not to mention the WTF ending.

I haven't played Oblivion or Fallout, so I have no idea what you guys are talking about except that I should expect very wtf-type endings if I choose to play them. I've been considering buying Oblivion.

Kim, Oblivion is a lot of fun (although there is admittedly no one as cool as Saren in there!). It's soooo open-ended...you can do what you like, and it looks absolutely stunning. If you get it, prepare to surrender a good portion of your life. XD

If I can make as many different characters in Oblivion as I can in Mass Effect and Dragon Age, I'll probably get it the next time I go to the game store. I still have to look for KOTOR and Jade Empire.

I didn't expect anyone else to be as cool as Saren... he's my favorite videogame character ever. That model looks awesome too.

Turian kids playing with toy guns sounds right. They'd probably jump behind cover and everything - realistic war games. Now I just imagined one of them using a water gun in place of a Collector Particle Beam.

As far as I can tell, you can make as many characters in Oblivion as you like. But you need to have a few lifetimes if you want to play them all. XD

And I think we should start a petition for a Saren prequel. Should I make a poll? I would just love to see that. His origins and all. Was he always evil? What about his brother?

More information about Saren would be awesome. I've come up with some of my own ideas, but it would be great to know for sure. Like... does it ever say his brother was older than him? I've always assumed, since Saren would have been young at the time, but I can't remember if it was ever said for sure. We don't even know if Saren was in the war.

My idea about Saren becoming evil is that it happened over time. Just judging by some of the stuff he says, and the recent Cerberus News articles showing how brutal the turian military can be, I think a good amount of it was learned there. When he was torturing that batarian, it said he knew a lot of "exotic" methods of torture but preferred the brutally efficient kind. It really makes me wonder what they're teaching those military turians.

And I voted yes in the poll, of course.

Aegis armor pack gives you the funky helmet. I used a Tex mod to give the inner armor red tone so I can make it look like Collosus.
