crud i realized that his leg spurs are missing in all of the pics.....

I just had to give this pic the full view. I found it a long long time ago and it's definitely one of my favourites. It helps that it has both Garrus and Grunt in it :P, but I absolutely love the style of this. It makes me happy everytime I see it.

Plus, there can never be enough pink for me :D

edit: something went wrong.. lol

That fanart is pretty awesome too. I love how it manages to be totally pink and girly and still so obviously Mass Effect. Also, poor Garrus. xD <3

Did you turn him down when he says he was getting signals? I thought my
MainShep got the Vyrnnus conversation... but it was a long time ago, and
the old playthroughs tend to blend together. I agree about the
meta-gaming/role-playing. MaleShep does have so much more to his
character after the second playthrough, and even now that I've started
the third, but the third gets tiring really fast. Peak 15, specifically.
(Yeah, I still haven't figured it out. I think I'll have to totally
roleplay it without meta-gaming, and that can be difficult.)

I didn't even let it get to the "signals" part.  I just barely let him say that line about "sorry if I was outta line, Commander" or whatever he says, and I said "Just be ready" (well, that's what the dialogue wheel said).  He apologized and clammed up after that.  I literally went through the whole conversation branch like 12 times in a row, looking for the combination that would work for my Shepard.  LOL, I was sick of that conversation, but I was satisfied at the end. :wizard:
Then I went and talked to Ashley and picked the nice answers for her conversations, even though they personally offended the heck out of me.  Meche Shepard's no "humans-first" type person either, and I did end with the "you have to work with aliens whether you like it or not" line, but I decided that although personally I felt like slapping her for the things she was saying I tried to go for professionalism, and I was happy with that.
And I'm headed to Noveria tonight...maybe I'll see you there and we can get a batarian ale or something :P

Hey, Garrus crowd. I have a question for a fic I'm writing. Does anyone know what Garrus' team on Omega was made up of? Like which species? I know there was twelve of them, and a batarian demo expert, but did he say anything else?

Why quarians? They put their feet down flat when they walk.

Honestly, I haven't looked too hard at quarian feet. I just remembered they had some similarities to turians and must've misremembered. Well anyhoo, they'd work for turians at least.

In the squad selection screen for ME1 where she's standing on her toes like Nilfalasiel mentioned  I remember mistakenly thinking when I first played that that's how she walked as well.

Hey, maybe Shepard wouldn't forget to feed the fish if she had a reason

biotic. No normal fish should have to eat every few hours.)

Haha, this is hilarious!  I think you win an Internet for that comment. ^_^

And since there was no Garrus in this post...oh, wait, now there was! >:)

I love all those pieces Atraxia :D

Grunt eating the fish-sicle = pure win. LOL

And David, hmmm, I don't think I know the answer to that one...I remember reading some fan fiction where they delineated some of that, but I don't know any canon for that, sorry....

At least one human (Nalah Butler's busband), one salarian, and one batarian.  The rest is up to you.

Letting Kaidan know that FemShep wasn't interested in him at the signals conversation worked for me - no trap romance. Of course, everyone's games work differently with the trap romances, so it's hard to tell. Poor MaleShep. If Liara was like Ashley and wasn't even interested after talking to him (he doesn't get along with either one), then he wouldn't have had this problem. Garrus is even more awesome for having no romance trap or unwelcome flirting. He's better with this than any other character.

I don't know if I'll get back to MaleShep's playthrough anytime soon... maybe just to get Peak 15 over with. If all else fails, I'll just play it like I played it last time whether that works best for his character or not. I didn't know it was possible to go to the Hot Labs first last time. Now I'm thinking it's more in-character for him to do that, but he won't get to meet that traumatized volus or anyone besides Ventralis. Maybe Shepard #4 would be better for talking to the volus (he's a Sole Survivor too, and a Colonist). My current MaleShep, Shepard #1, should be the type to go straight for Benezia. I guess I'll just go with that logic. Such confusion. All MaleShep wants is his Tali romance.

...I just realized that the sooner I finish up Noveria, the sooner I get to see Saren because Virmire is next! :D But then I'll have to recruit Liara. But then I'll see Saren again on the Citadel! But then he'll kill himself... and MaleShep will finally go to ME2.

So, is biotic fish and an immortal space hamster considered canon now? xD

All I know of is one batarian, one human, one salarian, and Sidonis for sure. I imagine the team would have had quite a few humans, just judging by what Omega's population seems to be. I'd find it hard to believe that there were any krogan on the team. Same for asari (I think there were only men on the team).

Did he specifically say men-only? An asari with commando training would be a valuable asset (and if she could dance, she could be a spy in Afterlife).

I also think having some krogan muscle would be useful for certain situations, but I don't see Garrus taking the risk on one.

Hey Garrussians,

Just popping my head in to say that I really like Garrus, he is an awesome character and one that will carry forward in almost all of my playthroughs. I so 'almost' because I like variety, so I had to do the 'maximum carnage' playthrough and kill off almost everybody. :)

Go Team Turian. :)

If I remember correctly, he called the team "his men." I did only play through ME2 once though, so if I got one of the lines wrong... it's not that surprising.

I assumed no krogan because the ones who go to Omega are probably all mercs. I can't think of any other reason for them to go there.

I considered that, and I believe it would have worked for me, as well...but after thinking a rather long time about it I decided it would be OOC for my Shepard.  I wanted to keep it as professional as I could, and unfortunately, that left out a LOT of dialogue--if I had said ONE more thing to him, the conversation would have ended with one of those dialog wheels where all the choices say *the same thing*.   Man those bug me.

Heh, the "unwelcome flirting" part reminded me of that turian with the ship and the mate but he only brought one...was that Ogrinn?  Haha, what a sleaze ball :wizard:

If you go to the Hot Labs first, is there a big firefight and everyone is shooting at you?  Or is that only if you let the rachni queen live before trying to do the other subquests?  It's been too long since I did the HL first, and that was only one time.  I just remember one playthrough resulting in me getting furiously attacked, LOL
Ooh I just remembered...Turian Scientist Guy is there!  Yaaay!  I remember I was excited to discover him before :P

That's a military phrase though, it could have been a slip of the tongue, not necessarily meaning they were all male.

But yeah, I can't see a krogan joining unless they liked the idea of taking on everyone at once. They just don't seem reliable in this sort of situation.

@Siansonea II: Thanks for the Garrus support! :D I can't imagine anyone letting Garrus die purposely unless they were doing something like that. Most people I've noticed have said they've gone out of their way to restart if they lose him on accident. I know I would! He's just too awesome to let die. ;_; <3

There are a bunch of body bags on Omega where you recruit Garrus, yes? I don't suppose it's possible to tell by the size and shape of any of them any details (if there are any krogans in them, for example)? I'm assuming they just used the same model for all of them, but I can't remember very well how they looked.

I believe they were all the same model, I don't think they were big enough for krogans either.

But there's no way to know for sure, so there's only one way to settle this: Garrus prequel DLC on Omega. Come on, BioWare!
