I quite agree.  I'd love to see a "good" turian in the game, just for kicks.

*crosses fingers for Palaven/turian colony*

-"Hey Garrus, we're about to touch down on Palaven. By the way, does your father live here? Maybe we can visit him."

Garrus: :?
"Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the midd-"

-Neutral interrupt-

-"We should go."

I wan't my MaleShep to be bro with Garrus. Adopted into the Vakarian family or something like that. When I think about it all my Sheps should technicaly be Urdnots since they killed the Thresher maw. I can totaly imagine Wrex (he IS alive! NO exceptions!) letting a human join his clan just to mess with the other clanleaders.

And yes, we definitely need more turians in the crew. Why not let the turians revive Shepard a second time in ME3 and build the third Normandy? Joking of course.

Garrus definitely have the bro thing down. I wonder how far that'll go in ME3.

My shep is male but i just love Garrus and his badass attitude and i wish that in ME3 males could become blood brothers or something with him, just something to make your relationship with him more important or meaningful than other ones. It would also be nice to have another turian on your crew, a veteren soldier, one that's extreamly well disciplined just to show the difference between Garrus' "do his own stuff" way of things and the roman like discipline of the Turian army.

That's a fantastic idea, I always wanted Garrus to meet turians from his military days just for this reason. Also because it would shed some light on what he was like back then even if he doesn't want to talk about it.  It would be great if Shepard went on board a turian warship to meet with a commander to help with an attack or something, and it just happened to be the same warship garrus used to serve on. When you are aboard you encounter turians who remember Garrus  and you can get unique conversations if he’s in your party. For example you can talk to an uptight turian soldier who brags about the prowess of turian military and how superior turians are;

Garrus
: Please tell me I didn’t used to sound like that

Shepard: *while smiling* Don’t worry Garrus you’re not nearly as uptight as you used to be

Garrus:  True...and you got a lot more fun after you died

Shepard: Touché

Good to know my MaleShep isn't the only one who would fit in with the krogan. xD And it would be awesome to see Garrus all nervous about Shepard meeting his father, even if Shepard didn't romance him. Some Shepards could be the total opposite of what Garrus' father would approve of. (I can just imagine this conversation between him and MainShep: "I don't want my son to turn out like Saren!" "But I like Saren!")

For the question about Garrus and Alistair, I've mentioned before that I really don't care for Alistair. If I made a Warden version of MainShep, she wouldn't actually like anyone. Well, she would like Dog and a few Awakenings squadmates.

I like both Garrus and Alistair, but I don't see the similarities aside from a few "Oh. Um. Me? Really?" moments, and a bit of sarcasm.

I guess I've seen people (mostly guys) on the boards claiming that both characters were "whiny." I judge those people. :)

Uh, please don't flame me peeps when i say this. Really I'm kind of hoping that the garrus and shepard thing does evolve into a brotherhood type of thing, because right now it still kind of seems like garrus is just referring to shepard as just his commander. But thats just my take, with femshep its something totally different then that.

I liked the fact that Shepard could sit with Garrus and just shoot the breeze.

Talking about girls, that whole bit with the flexible turian, it was all real chummy.

Also, hey Clan V! Stopping by from Taliland.

While I'm here, I thought I'd leave a gift. Posted this yesterday, but I don't know if very many people saw it. Enjoy!

*Shepard and Garrus stand in the armory, inspecting equipment for an upcoming mission. Garrus turns to Shepard before checking the sights on his sniper rifle.*

Garrus: So... You and Tali?

*Shepard ejects an old thermal clip from his pistol before turning to Garrus.*

Shepard: You noticed?

*Garrus shrugs, placing the rifle back on the table.*

Garrus: Well, you just confirmed it.

*Shepard grins, replacing the pistol's thermal clip. The two friends share a long silence.*

Garrus: Can I just say that it's about damn time?

*Shepard laughs. He smiles as he turns to Garrus.*

Shepard: Were we both that obvious?

Garrus: You two were inseperable! I'm amazed it took you both as long as it did.

*Another shared silence.*

Garrus: Can I ask you something?

*Shepard places the pistol back on the table before crossing his arms, his full attention on Garrus.*

Garrus: What does she look like?

*Shepard raises an eyebrow.*

Shepard: I don't kiss and tell, Garrus.

Garrus: So there was kissing?

*Shepard turns back to the table, examining his pistol again.*

Garrus: Oh come on! You can tell me!

Shepard: Joker's got his betting pool up and running again?

Garrus: Shepard... I've got a whole lot of money riding on this.

The thread title poll is into round 2! Vote now.

The two most popular choices from this poll will go into the third and final round.

ROFL:  Can't believe "Hero" is still winning. ;)

Just don't pick calibrate this, because that steals the thunder from the Councilor Velarn title.

That's exactly why I didn't pick it. :wizard:

Aieee!!...are you guys sure I should be pursuing this Alistair romance thing??

Or if you take him someplace nice finally in ME3 (say there's a garden
or antique shop that needs fighting through and you bring him along), a
Shepard who's romancing him could say something like, "Shepard, remind
me to show you my gratitude when we get back to the Normandy.  This is
the best date I've ever been on
."

Yes, well, some people think everyone who talks about their problems is whiny. It's even worse when he's a guy. Garrus whiny, Alistair whiny, Kaidan whiny... then the entire galaxy is whiny.

Whenever you don't like someone, just call him/her whiny. :wizard:

Alright Garrus fans, the ongoing science thread has been updated. Just need to write down where the discrepencies pop up and who contributed. Thanks to battlechantress, Bhatair, Collider, Kim Shepard, Lt. Davo, Nilfalasiel, and Xsauce for whatever data I've collected so far!

P.S. Mordin demands more data!

Alistair doesn't wash his socks.

@Pacifien: if my laptop wasn't this crappy, I'd help you collect data. But with my average 9 fps, I'm not going to replay the SM that much, even if it's for science :P
