@Pacifien: if my laptop wasn't this crappy, I'd help you collect data. But with my average 9 fps, I'm not going to replay the SM that much, even if it's for science :P

No, but you can benefit from the fruits of my labor and engineer a situation to ensure Garrus will be there when you need him to pull you into the Normandy!

:wizard:

P.S. You'll have to pair him with Jack or Thane for that to happen.

Wow...are they ever jealous of Garrus and Tali's screen time in the Liara thread.

There are a select few in that thread that can be a little negatively charged, yes.

I guess I've seen people (mostly guys) on the boards claiming that both characters were "whiny." I judge those people. :)

Yes, well, some people think everyone who talks about their problems is whiny. It's even worse when he's a guy. Garrus whiny, Alistair whiny, Kaidan whiny... then the entire galaxy is whiny.

Whenever you don't like someone, just call him/her whiny. :wizard:

This is so true. "Whiny" is often just used as another way of saying that one doesn't like the character. I've heard people calling Garrus whiny, yea. If someone is not completely content with everyone and everything, they're whiny, right? :P

I don't think I'd describe anyone from the MEverses as "whiny", even those among my least favorites. I don't get it.

I know. Like we can help it that they fell in love with someone who got a crappy little role in ME2 and refuse to move on. Not to mention Liara has the biggest chance of returning in a big role in ME3, along with Ash/Kaidan. /shrug

The seemingly persistent drama that occurs in that thread is the only reason I browse through it on occasion. Fairly good entertainment, I'd say.

I'm thankful I have rarely seen such behavior in the Garrus thread <3. Come to think of it, though, I haven't really seen that kind of drama in the Thane and Kaidan threads either.

And this picture is so awesome, it must be posted again:

Probably just very miserable that Liara has such little screentime in ME2, but I don't see how they can complain.

Getting fan feedback must be a pain... D:

I agree. None of the squad mates are whiny. Like Cerryd said, a lot of times people just call the characters they don't like "whiny." I've seen this with people who hate or dislike Garrus. "Oh, he's whiny." "Whiny" is kind of a catch-all term for saying "I don't like this character."

Since they dislike the character, they empathize with the character's problems or philosophy less (usually on purpose).

Most of the Kaidanites adore Garrus in the little brother sense.  They'd be mighty pissed off if he got shafted, too.

Wow, that sentence went somewhere horrible.

Listening to people 'whine' all day is going to be my job when I finish university. Oh god, what did I get myself into... I'll diagnose everyone with Whiner Syndrome.

They need to read Twilight.  They'll redefine "whiny."

Not much drama in the Kaidan thread, yes. There is some criticism of ME2 though (which in itself isn't bad, although some people may disagree with said criticisms).

The Thane thread is not very active due to the fact that the majority of Thane fans just go to the Thane group instead. of the posts in the Thane thread, it's usually just about Thane's life expectancy, role in ME3, and his philosophy. And some fanart.

This (the Garrus thread) thankfully gets no drama...at all. Literally. Thank god.

I'm not crazy about 1 or two of the characters, but I'd characterize them as uninteresting to me personally, boring, or less useful than some others. And no, I won't name names. I completely respect others' choices and I'm glad everyone is different, otherwise it'd be a freakin boring world.

We are happy thread. We have alcoholics, dozens of inside jokes, insightful walls of text and a lot of fun. And barely any trolls *knock on wood*.

That's very true. Twilight make Carth and Kaidan seem like matured men.

And yes, we are a happy thread indeed. :D People just seemed so elitist at times for thinking that happy = creepy/hyper/trolling/weird/etc.

Watching Buffy.... I've come to the conclusion that early Cordelia reminds me of Miranda.

I got no parallels for Garrus, though.  Cept maybe Xander.  Without the whole "unrequited" thing.

Ugh, don't read the book.  I read clips online and gagged.  How that woman got a publishing contract boggles the mind.  Seriously, look up the Riff Trax treatment of the movie on Youtube and have fun with that instead.
