Nah its basically a role playing forum. Make up your own character in the mass effect universe and go crazy. I got silentstephi to join the forums playing as a female turian. And yeah its very addicting.Rebe70 wrote...
Is that the play by email RPG that someone was running? Had a look and thought it looked funMr.BlazenGlazen wrote...

Where is it officially stated that turians have lifespans comparable to those of humans? Is it on the Wiki? (sorry, having an attack of laziness here)
A dev on the old boards said this. Yes, it's on the wiki, you lazy KG. (w00t, I'm rhyming)
Does this mean you're going back to being the Limerick Master?

I still have to decide what my current MaleShep will do. He doesn't have much reason to hate them except by reputation, but he probably thinks they're not worth the medi-gel. In that case, I should get to hear Garrus' comment in... three or four months. >_>; If the poor guy ever makes it to ME2, that is.

Hi Garrus thread, I haven't been here in a long time (and back then I was more of a lurker anyway) and I just wanted to say that the OP is amazing, especially the Turian Tattoo database, that looks like it would've taken a lot of effort. Keep up the good work!

The extra dialogue you get at the end if you sent Mordin's assistants after him is well worth it. Bit of a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming, really.
I also can't let the wheezy salarian in Thane's RM die. So if, by chance, a decision in ME3 comes along where it's either Shepard's happiness or that of the galaxy as a whole...screw you, Shepard. That's how weak a person I am.

Does Garrus make any comments if Shepard does save him? I can't remember.
Nope. Only if you let him die. And I guess I'll do a catch up post here since I just got done reading what I had missed the last few days.
On chirality: From what Pacifen, my sis, and other smart folks have told me it seems that allergy stuff would just be over proteins. So it makes sense a turian could eat donuts as I don't think donuts really have many proteins to speak of in them. They could probably eat various human vegetables and bread products as well. Though as they appear carnivorous to me I'd still hazard their bodies are designed to run principally on proteins so stuff that is mostly carbs and starch wouldn't do it for them nutritionally. That's my guess anyway. Also explains why they should be cautious with nuts as nuts have high protein in them. Paci or smart science people feel free to correct me if I just said something stupid.
On turian leg spurs: My favorite design idea is that they are only on male turians like a rooster's spurs. I also think they are somewhat flexible. Somewhere in between the flexibility of your nose and solid bone. I don't think they are sharp or used as weapons. One explanation I have seen is that they are a sort of adaprted dewclaw used for balance. I do think turians have a dewclaw as otherwise they only have two digits on their feet and three on their hands which seems kind of odd. I am not completely convinced the spur is an adapted dewclaw, however, but I admit the the only reason I think that is a design one. I like the idea of female turians not having them, but if they were for balance it wouldn't make sense for the females not to have them. I think somebody (can't recall who) on the thread way back when mentioned making a gargoyle costume for a convention of some kind. That costume walked on tip-toes and the person had issues balancing, but she/he added something like leg spurs on the back and it helped tremendously. That's why they proposed they might be for balance and that explanation seemed plausible enough to me. If only male turians have spurs, it could be a display designed to impress females. That is pretty common with birds and reptiles that the males have brighter plumage, a fancy crest, a throat pouch they can flare or whatever. It serves no biological purpose whatsoever except that females think it is sexy and will be more likely to mate with a male that has a good specimen. And no, that wasn't supposed to be an innuendo at all.

I certainly hope the end choice isn't like that.
I don't think so. That's more a DA thing to me. I don't think we will ever see something like "save your LI or save the galaxy" in ME. I don't think it would match.

Oh, I know. I was exaggerating.
But yeah, I suck at killing people who do not necessarily have to be killed.

It better not be. I hate sad endings. In other news I recently watched the ending to "The Mist."Xsause wrote...
