Hi guys, welcome!
RE: Romance. I think Garrus' romance is unique in that the more you let it simmer in your brain, the more you appreciate it. When I first played through it I had a very, 'That was it?' feeling about it. Then I started going to the threads, thinking about his motivations, realizing that with how reserved he is, you kind of have to analyze the things he says in the build up and not take them at face value (for example, understanding his motivations behind the hesitation and nervousness)... I think the more layers of subtext you uncover, the better it gets.
Most romances are fairly cut and dry. Garrus' is something different, it doesn't follow the typical pattern, it doesn't give you what you expect. But now I find that one of its most interesting aspects.
This is how I feel towards Garrus' romance from what I've seen through youtube vids. Miranda's is like this as well. They both can seem very much like a fling from a first glance but if you look deeper, you see it's much more than that. I think it really adds to the romance, everything isn't served to you on a silver platter, you gotta look deeper. Which is what I've found that I appreciate the most in music and such. It's why Miranda's and Garrus' romance are my favorites.
