Speaking of the Rachni, I think the Keepers might be Rachni. O_o

What does this have to do with Garrus? Who knows. Maybe Garrus will ride a Keeper via like a Cowboy and ride it into battle against a fleet of Reapers.

This is all your fault.

SHOO! Begone with ye! XD I think I might die if that happened.  Although I could see the devs throwing a line like that out there as a bit of ribbing. :3

Hey, how do you think turians manage to swim? That collar thing on them must cause a lot of water resistance... and what if one tried to dive in head first?

I.....really don't know. But I think we do know that turians have gizzards.

Garrus Vakarian doesn't swim, Garrus Vakarian walks on water.

...sorry, I couldn't resist. Honestly if their plates really are metal, I would assume they would sink. It would be kind of cute if they really couldn't swim. Hey, you can't be awesome at -everything-.

I don't think swimming would be an easy task for a turian. They don't seem too flexible(the males ones at least:lol:), and they are probably quite heavy and their unarmored bodies would probably cause a lot of water resistance as you stated as well. It's like throwing a big a** boulder into a lake and expecting it to float :P. On a serious note though, I don't think swimming would be impossible for turians, but it wouldn't be too much of an easy feat either.

Sorry to just inject myself into the conversation like that. I lurk here alot and decided to post for once^_^

I think one reason we do not get the overtly romantic stuff in his romance in ME2 is because his arc is not complete.  We still need material to keep his character viable where it can grow in ME3.  Same with the relationship.  An "I love you" from a private guy like Garrus would be HUGE.  I think it would be premature in ME2.  I think that sort of thing would mark the end of the arc, like Jaheira or Viconia in Throne of Bhaal.  And it felt all the more potent for how long it took to happen with those two I think.

Oh no, I agree with you there no I love you just yet, like I said I think me2 could have went deeper, it didnt but hopefully me3 will really make up for that. I mean we know it of the other 3 (Im including Kaidan) LI already but when/if we finally get to a stage like that with Garrus I see it being extra special. Gosh how I wish the picture you posted was the real ending lol.
I love Garrus anyway and despite my moaning about the issues I have with the romance I do like it, cant wait to see what me3 will bring =)

nice:D. I used to lurk from my ipod touch, which made posting difficult. But I just got a new laptop so holding conversations is muchhhh easier now. I can finally begin to frequently post in my favorite threads.

I have to admit, I kind of lurk as well, because usually I have nothing to participate here unless I want to derail the conversation... D:

But we like more people to spread the love! :D

No, I agree with you actually. I'm one of the ones who gets very frustrated that all the Garrus romance is mostly in the subtext. I also think the ME2 romances are WAY too short. I think Bioware spread themselves too thin. 6 is too many in my opinion. But of course cutting them now would make people mad because all the LIs have fans. Hopefully they will have more time to focus on character stuff in ME3 since they won't have to spend as much time overhauling the combat and inventory systems.

And I have NO idea if turians would be good swimmers. At all. I do know that some really unlikely animals are actually kinda proficient at it. Snakes for example are excellent swimmers as are elephants and horses are decent at it too. So, I'm pretty sure they can swim. They just might look very dignified as they do it.

@Alexine

But somebody has to contribute fabulous things.  Who else if not you?:P

Hi guys, welcome! :D

RE: Romance. I think Garrus' romance is unique in that the more you let it simmer in your brain, the more you appreciate it. When I first played through it I had a very, 'That was it?' feeling about it. Then I started going to the threads, thinking about his motivations, realizing that with how reserved he is, you kind of have to analyze the things he says in the build up and not take them at face value (for example, understanding his motivations behind the hesitation and nervousness)... I think the more layers of subtext you uncover, the better it gets.

Most romances are fairly cut and dry. Garrus' is something different, it doesn't follow the typical pattern, it doesn't give you what you expect. But now I find that one of its most interesting aspects.

Getting a bit off-topic, but thinking about how turians would swim, would they wear special swimsuits or just swim in their armor or clothes (or possibly shirtless XD)?

Probably not in armor.  Perhaps naked? Would be preferable.  ME3 must reveal this in detail.  For science. *nods*

This is how I feel towards Garrus' romance from what I've seen through youtube vids. Miranda's is like this as well. They both can seem very much like a fling from a first glance but if you look deeper, you see it's much more than that. I think it really adds to the romance, everything isn't served to you on a silver platter, you gotta look deeper. Which is what I've found that I appreciate the most in music and such. It's why Miranda's and Garrus' romance are my favorites.
