I don't know if turians would go for swimming for fun. That was actually a pretty weird thing even by human standards in Europe up until the late 1800s. What with the association of swimming with witchcraft and issues about men and women being scantily clad near each other and all that. Not to mention leisure time was kind of rare to begin with back then. Not saying turians wouldn't swim for fun, but it's not necessarily a "natural" thing that all sapients just do either. I sorta imagine them swimming for other reasons, more because they have to than want to. In those situations I would think practicality would be the word so either naked or something specifically designed to minimize drag or other physical limitations. Haha, I just got an image of a turian with those inflatable things on his arms like for little kids.

As for swiming, I imagine they'd have full body diving suit type things to control their temperatures and smooth out all those jagged edges.

I have another question for this thread. what do you see for Garrus's end in 3? Head of C-Sec? Spectre? Still fighting with Shepard? Would you be unsatisfied if he died heroically?
If you can be bothered, it would be good to get the answer as 1) what you think vs 2) what you want to happen
Just remembering an argument someone had about Garrus certainly dying in 3

Guys, keep it on the topic of Garrus and turian discussion... or at least Mass Effect/BioWare-related discussion. xD

There are several walls of text I still have to read. For now, I'll answer the short question - I don't think turians would swim. Grunt comments that it's rare to see a turian out of armor (we've seen many of them in civilian clothes, but I guess it's the similar enough), and swimming in that heavy armor just seems impractical. If they want to get across water, there's no need to swim, and they would probably have different sports that are more suited to their talents. The ones we know of so far are wrestling and clawball, right? What is clawball anyway?

I could see a Garrus/Shepard spectre team kicking ass and chewing bubblegum throughout the galaxy.
