We NEED to throw in Brandon's Facebook fan page.

Btw, are you still accepting lame Chuck Norris facts-esque jokes about Garrus? If so I have a bad one.
Garrus never runs out of luck. Luck runs out of Garrus.
HAHAHAHA
OK not funny...

Garrus gets pulled up by most of my Shepards, except for my 1st ManShep playthrough. He pulled up Miranda instead (who died a few seconds later... for science, of course)

The squadmate whose icon is on the right will be the one Shepard catches, so you can get any outcome there, and just reload until the squadmate you want is on the right. The squadmate who catches Shepard when they're jumping into the Normandy shuttle is determined by a specific order, so anyone who wants double-catching awesomeness needs to bring either Thane or Jack with Garrus, and make sure Garrus' squad icon is on the right. I managed to do this with Thane on the team (that was the playthrough Miranda died when I wasn't expecting it because my hold-the-line score was too low, but it really helped me plan out my MaleShep's suicide mission if he ever gets there).

@kglaser: Like I said, everyone probably has different definitions of "completely evil." I consider the batarian completely evil, and Saren "evil with standards." I think we can both agree that he's "awesome evil" though. :)

I love it when Garrus and Thane help my shep up, I think it really is a show of their friendship I really laughed when I saw Joker wielding an assault rifle and Garrus then giving covering fire, like he always does.

Yeah, Joker using an assault rifle was pretty impressive. xD

It's nice that we can all get the suicide mission results that we want now. That used to be a question that came up every now and then around here, and now we have an answer. It really adds a lot to those last few minutes to have our Shepards catch their best friends or romance interests, and then have them return the favor.

Well...except Thane.

Unless you're willing to kill someone off, of course. A life for a life, hmm?

...maybe that's the secret to keeping Thane alive in ME3? Posted Image

Yeah, I remember I caught Garrus and then both he and Thane catch me, ironic huh? I think Garrus was better than Joker with the assault rifle but Thane with a sniper... no contest. That was the stupid thing, Thane uses a pistol but in game he uses sniper and submachine gun whereas Garrus uses both his weapons you see him generally using.

@Nilfalasiel: I know, Thane not catching Shepard is unfortunate. The FemShep I planned out for his romance would never lose a teammate, so she'll have to deal with just catching him and being caught be someone else. I'd like to make Thane catch someone though... I bet the squadmates are cowering in fear right now. xD

@General Ashous: Only one squadmate catches Shepard. The other squadmate kind of look like they give Shepard a "glad you made it" pat on the arm though. I had to watch it on youtube because I remembered the second squadmate doing something too.

It is strange that Thane doesn't use pistols. I thought that would have made more sense for him than a submachine gun.

Yes that is it. That was what I meant to put but my foolish mind had me put both catch down. My apologies, I can't remember what I'm doing. Yeah, I never got that bit, why use Submachine guns when it clearly states he gets up close and personal with a pistol? That's one of the few things Garrus and Thane have in common, they both tend to get up close and personal except Garrus uses an assault rifle. I actually prefer Garrus as a sniper, I think it suits him better but I always use Thane as my sniper.

That's fine. It's interesting that the second squadmate will give Shepard that same pat on the arm that Shepard gives to the second team leader after they get shot. If it's the same squadmate both times, that would be amusing. (I guess that could only happen with Garrus, Miranda, and Jacob.)

Garrus always uses his assault rifle and charges into battle on default. The last time I played, I tried out some squad commands, telling him to take cover next to Shepard and use his sniper rifle. I think I might switch his battle tactics a little depending on the Shepard. I just have this awesome image in my mind of Vanguard MaleShep charging into battle and Garrus covering his back with the sniper rifle, both of them competing for the highest number of kills. For other Shepards, it could be the opposite - Garrus in close combat and Shepard with the sniper. They could both be close combat fighters, or both behind cover together. Now that I think of it, Garrus' combat gives a lot of variety.

Now that would be funny. A competition of how many kills you get like in Darksiders and Legolas and Gimli i Lord of the Rings. Wrex: "Garrus! I have five already!" Garrus: "This isn't a competition Wrex... I have seven." (Wrex scowls as he sends the but of his shotgun crashing into the skull of a Reaper drone). classic. I wonder what a good Melee attack for Garrus would be? Still, Garrus is a great sniper.

"This isn't a competition... I have seven." xD Awesome. Darksiders has competition like that? I haven't bought it yet.

If Garrus is anything like my MaleShep, he would get up close to his enemies and use Concussive Shot or even Overload. MaleShep likes to be right next to the explosions. I can just see him headshotting a mech at close range and letting his shields take the hit (they'll just regenerate anyway the next time he uses Charge). Hopefully by the time my MaleShep makes it to ME2, I'll have enough videogame skill to actually make him do that. I managed to make him punch one of those jumping geth in ME1, and a geth soldier... it was the result of accidental button-mashing, but it was still awesome.

I know, thanks. Yes, Darksiders has a kill competition, it's a bit difficult to win but there are a few tricks. I think Garrus is the kind of guy (a bit like me) who picks off as many as possible with a sniper rifle and then finishes them off with his assault rifle. The only difference is I only pick off a few and then get rid of the rest with a pistol. I hit a hopper once, very funny. I once even meleed a armature, now that is Garrus like. Actually, it's a bit more Wrex like but I could see Garrus doing it.

Nah. Garrus is a sniper by nature. He likes his kills clean and surgical (he says so himself). I don't see him meleeing anything if he has a sniper rifle handy.

Wrex, on the other hand, would totally do it.

MainShep does the same with a shotgun and a pistol. She doesn't punch as many enemies as MaleShep, except husks. They just walk right up to her and stand there. xD It's funny to watch geth actually fly a few feet after getting hit though. I expect it from husks, but geth are heavy... Shepard is very, very strong.

Garrus was one of the most talented close-combat fighters in his old team, so I could see him taking down a mech like that if he ever ran out of bullets (impossible, but still cool).

He was when he was in the turian army. I don't know about his Omega team though: he seemed to describe their techniques as sniper crossfire.

Which is similar to Garyson's team in Retribution. Perhaps it was from Garrus' team that Drew Karpyshyn got his inspiration from. I can never see Garrus running out of bullets after all he made a quote about that to Femshep didn't he? Wouldn't know, never had a femshep. lol

I didn't mean on Omega necessarily, I was thinking more about Garrus when he's fighting alongside Shepard. On Omega, it does make more sense to stay behind cover and use the sniper rife, since it was his team of 12 against three large merc gangs. Charging right into that battle would be almost suicidal.

Does Garrus make a "running out of bullets" comment? I don't remember it. That's just something my Shepard would do, beat someone over the head with a gun when they can't shoot them with it. xD

I suck at BBcode, so someone else will have to make this show up as a picture. But anyway, I saw this and squee'd.

I don't think Garrus would charge into battle and fight in melee unless he had to. It's just that if he had to, I think he'd be pretty good at it given what he said about him being good at hand to hand.

All you got to do is copy and paste using the standard form, Cia.  Here you go:

I think Garrus would use his gun most of the time. If he was ever forced to fight in hand-to-hand combat though, he would be awesome at it. He wouldn't run up to a geth and punch it like my MaleShep would if he still had bullets... but my MaleShep is a little crazy. xD I can just imagine his old friend from the Reds saying "leave it to Shep to bring his fists into a gunfight." It's interesting how some of their tactics can be so similar, and others so different.

That picture is adorable. That's a bit of a strange angle to pull someone up, but still adorable.

Sorry, sorry.  I can't just chill and have fun once I am in analysis mode.:P  I'm weird like that.  I said before that I think Garrus would totally be a shooter player and an RTS player.  I can just see it now.

Garrus would be good in the role of the Sniper from Team Forthress 2. Grunt is Heavy, Mordin is medic, Tali is engineer etc... etc...

Actually, that's been covered:

I actually saw that spy-shep as a spray in TF2. Did a double-take when I saw it.
Also Garrus sniper is badass.

He and Tali are the only guys that don't get taken out I notice. But their seconds are numbered. No one can survive the Sheploo rapeface.
