Until he whooped that Batarian.
Hopefully the Batarians get some exposure, and not get turned into the Vorcha.

I think it's the same Saren we remember, just different versions of evil. I guess I need to find a special trope for that batarian and characters like him. If Saren was like that, I wouldn't like him, but he hates people like that, so I like him even more. xD Make sense? Saren is evil without going over the line - batarian slavers being an example of "over the line."kglaser wrote...

@kglaser: Like I said, everyone probably has different definitions of "completely evil." I consider the batarian completely evil, and Saren "evil with standards." I think we can both agree that he's "awesome evil" though.
I agree that he's Awesome Evil , but now I'm afraid to re-read the book and discover he's not as evil as I first thought. That's the whole reason I love him!
@Giggles_Manically: Does that mean you think Saren beating up the batarian was a good thing or a bad thing?

And yes thats pretty much the only scene where I agree with Saren.

Garrus gave him a compliment about his biotics. Anyone hear that conversation? It made me smile.

Then we both agree with Saren there. I just agree with him a lot more. xDGiggles_Manically wrote...

@kglaser: The conversation where Garrus says that turians would use the L2 implants because of the "power spikes" even if they cause headaches? That's the only one I know of, and I haven't even heard it in-game.

Kaidan: My headaches can be pretty bad, and I’m one of the lucky L2 implants. The L3’s are safer.
Garrus: Humanity will be judged by the sacrifices its people are willing to make, Lieutenant. The Turians would have kept the L2 implants.

I want to see a turian with their own biotic implants now. (Judging from Revelation and Retribution, it's likely that Saren's implants are from Sovereign.) I wonder what kind of side-effects they have, if the turians would consider those "sacrifices" acceptable.

Codex says turian biotics are rare enough that turians are generally suspicious of them, and they get put to work for their government service period in "cabals". Not as punishment, just a special tour of duty.Collider wrote...
I believe I read that Turians aren't particularly strong biotics.

It would be so, so cool to have a random turian biotic enemy in ME3 (like we had a random turian scientist in ME1, LOL)
edit: here ya go. Love it!

Anyway, that was (supposed to be) just another cute little picture. I'll look for the other one in a few.

The ME Wiki goes a bit further and states that Turians are generally on par with a human L3, but doesn't mention where that information came from. Suppose it can be inferred based on Garrus's comment to Kaidan that his biotics were very impressive and the Turians would have kept the L2 implants because of it.ciaweth wrote...

It refers to client races in the plural which implies the turians have more than just the volus as a client race. It also means some of those races serve in the turian military. I wander where the volus factor into that. Volus in boot camp? That would be hilarious. Support positions for them most likely, but I wonder what those other client races might be and if we will hear about them in the future.

Saren is indeed awesomely evil. Still, I always got that impression from him that he was really convinced that he was doing the right thing. And that he had a sadistic streak.
As for Batarians: I would like to have some more evil Batarians, but I wouldn't mind having a "good" Batarian on Shep's side as well. I liked that Forvan actually had a reason to poison humans. Somehow I never bothered asking for it and just discovered it on my current playthrough.
Also Mordin says something about Vorcha as well.
