I think a lot of people thought that the Garrus romance was a fling or a "friends with benefits" relationship, because there was no after-dialogue or thoughts from Garrus about their relationship (unlike the ME1 romances, where there's a bit of dialogue at the end that hints of something more). I suppose like lovgreno mentioned that it is left to our imagination, but when you have something so broad, there's going to be a lot of interpretation.

Unless the snuggling post-suicide mission in Shepard's cabin means that there is more to come?

I agree that skin is not necessary to have a meaningful, tender, and even sexy romance scene.

But I'm a biologist...I'm just so darn curious!! XD

I don't think skin means that the romance would be better too. However, I think that they need to balance. I really like the Garrus romance with the least shirtless-ness or stripping, just that it felt incomplete, or somehow that there would be more to it. If Garrus had unique post-suicide mission dialogue if you romance him, I would've been happy with the closing until ME3 (or the ME2 bridging DLC). I don't think there should have been more dialogue after the headbump, because that says a lot of things.

Yes, more dialogue after was sorely, glaringly needed in any case. :(

Well we always have our imagination to fill in what wasn't shown in the game.

Well this thread abounds with that, as does Clan V. Posted Image

I'm getting way too excited, apparently my copy of Retribution is in the mail as I type Posted Image Pity I have to go play with whole bunch of dumb bugs for the next 2 days and won't be home when it arrives!

And this:  HAAAA Grunt has a 360! Scary game they must be playing!

I was going to say that it must be Silent Hill, but there aren't any Silent Hill games on the 360. So maybe it's something like Dead Space? It's a really cute drawing, btw.

This, very much so. Although, IIRC, Garrus isn't the only LI who doesn't get any post-SM convos. Actually, the only ones I remember having post-SM convos are Tali and Jacob (by hearsay, of course, I ain't touching the priiiize with a 10-foot pole). What about Thane, Jack and Miranda?

Oh, I didn't know it was multiplatform. I thought it was PS3 only. My bad then.

There's a couple lines from Tali post-suicide mission (Shepard doesn't get to say anything).

You always show up when I'm offline or sleeping!

I love the reactions of Mordin and Garrus in that pic above.  See that picture behind the sofa?  What's it of?  I see leg spurs...

Who here is crossing their fingers that Garrus will take that damn visor off during a final ME3 "love scene"? (Since the last two have it, it would be weird for Shepard NOT to have a final romantic moment with her LI before the "end")

Sorry, I really liked it the way it was!  Not that I'm not curious, but I actually liked having the room to speculate about everything from anatomical details to whether they even had sex at all.  Taking off shirts would make the whole scene more explicitly "hot," and I was content to leave it at "sweet."  But if we could see him actually take off the visor (not just show up without it), yes, that would be sort of neat.

I have to be honest...I would have preferred it if he hadn't just barged into her room while she was in the shower. That was a tad hinky, IMHO.

And I'd love to know what is on that sofa picture too!! I was wonde4ring the same thing....

Garrus is able to enter Shepard's quarters without ringing, I assumed she'd given him permission earlier. My Shepard would have done that for any of her good friends.

I support shirtless Garrus for ME3. Hot AND sweet are perfectly doable. :3

As for the argument "some people would find him icky" then...uh...why romance Garrus? You only like him with his clothes on? He's "too alien?" I dunno, I figured that was why Thane and Jacob were options, too. :P Frankly, I'd like a "leave no questions unanswered" ROMANCE scene. Not explicit sex, mind you. Besides, I'd really like to know what turians DO look like under all that armor. Not the really old "Saren in underwear" concept art...I mean the final turian design.

Me too! It wouldn't have taken a lot to have gone a wee bit further with the romance scene - even finishing the embrace and Shepard leading him towards the bed, them sinking down onto it and fade to black. Mega huge bonuses would have been awarded for Garrus taking of his shirt.

Perhaps they're waiting for ME3 so we have something to get even more excited about? Maybe they thought we'd explode if we had too much of Garrus's awesomeness and that the romance option would already be close to overloading the fangirls :-)

Great point, Hazzel42. Perhaps they wondered if they gave us all that in ME2, where would they take it from there? So perhaps we really will get our shirtless garrus in ME3. :3 I also love your suggestion on how the ME2 scene could have been improved, and I definitely agree.

I'm having a hard enough time waiting for the DLC next week - waiting to see Garrus again (we'd better!) in ME3 is going to kill me!

I think the ME2 scene was fine as it was, its just you can't just show a fully clothed headbump twice is all I'm saying. Honestly, Bioware shouldn't refrain from showing some actual physical intimacy in ME3 just because of the "ew" crowd, a lot of players can be homophobic, sexist or racist tossers but that didn't stop the developers from making female protagonists or different races of characters or gay....I'll just mention Dragon age for that one ^_^.
