While I doubt the DLC conversation will go into this much detail, I was thinking about what Liara said when you choose Kaidan over her in ME1.  Something along the lines of, "I understand.  He -is- one of your own kind".
It'll be a little like rubbing salt in the wound if you move on with Garrus, another alien.

If MaleShep ever makes it through ME1, MainShep is throwing him a party. Whenever I get back to his playthrough, I'll start from Ilos and go for a second NG+ where I fix all the mistakes and Liara is recruited last. (Poor Tali has to wait for her romance. Let's see if it happens before ME3!) It's amazing how this is the one thing that pushed my opinion of the asari over the top to hating the entire race... or maybe I shouldn't be surprised by it. xD About the Liara DLC, I'll just be reading what happened, and watching youtube videos if there are any scenes with characters I care about. The only way I'll get to play it is if BioWare ever releases a version of ME2 with all the DLC included anyway.

My Shepard was single when she romanced Garrus, so no conflict for her. It would be amusing if Kaidan and Liara were confused by Shepard's choice, but I hope not. There probably wouldn't be any answers fitting enough for my Shepard, like "you're not a man" for Liara and "you're not a turian" for Kaidan.

By the way, congrats to Pacifien for the new Moderator status.

i don't really mind the asari. I do prefer the special ones though, Aria, Samara, Morinth, Aethyta. Also, I liked Shiala and Seryna (it was Seryna who used to work for Nassana, wasn't it?) They have something special to them, so tough. I like that, makes them sexey....^.^ Regular asari are like any other human women to me....not interesting. Although I think, that the asaria consort was hot too xD

Liara seemed the logical romance option for Brian. Spacer kid, grew up in a somewhat stable enviroment. War-Hero. Never had real baggage. He wants to save everyone and blah blah. The kinda guy who is nice to everyone and stuff. And Liara seemed perfect for him. But in ME2 she'd changed and it confused him. When she refused to join him and instead focused on her Shadow Broker stuff, he was heart broken and tried to heal. He turned his focus on Jack, trying to save her but realized, he was only fooling himself. Then Tali came back and he seeked her company whenever possible. On her LM he hugged her for comfort and something stirred in him, confused the hell of a shyt outta him. He'd never realized, how much he had liked her and all. And when she confessed her feelings to him, he was just a happy camper ^.^

In ME1 Garrus was in his twenties. We guessed he was around 26-28 in ME1, which would make him 28-30 in ME2.

Thanks for that. I love that moment. I think the only Turian moment I like more is Saren's suicide. Now that was very... touching in a way. Perhaps it's just me but I thought it showed a lighter side of Saren and made you think "perhaps he's not such a monster after all."

Hello ladies (and gents)! Haven't been here in awhile so I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I was listening to the recent Dragon Age 2 podcast, and in it Mark Darrah (the executive producer) mentions the Garrus fan following:

"I like the direction the Garrett Hawke feedback is going. ... I'd love to see something like you see with Garrus from Mass Effect. The line of things like 'Garrett Hawke doesn't spend time, time spends Garrett Hawke'."

I love it how aware the developers, producers, the entire Bioware team seems to be of what the fans are into on the forums and out.    That being, we all love Batman-Garrus.

And I'll agree that Saren was always a jackass, but I'm leaning towards "he was monstrous in 'Revelation', but something happened to make him merely somewhat an evil jackass by the events of ME1". Now the question is, what happened? XD
