I mini Virmired Morinth, fed her to the Swarm on the Long Walk. See, Jacob actually does have some uses!

I know it's utterly American of me to say so, but I just want my happy ending....and a pony. Or perhaps a happy ending ON a pony, though now my mind is wandering into naughty territory.
I'm a Brit, and I want my happy ending(s) too! (Possibly minus the ponies. Bad google search flashback.)

Bug, it's Nihlus! A pretty damn good render of him too. XD
Darth, not afraid per say. I was actually able to warm up to the ice queen my second time through. It's fun to tell her to STFU and deal. XD Then shower her with shiny things...
Otherwise, things are going good.

1) Is Garrus an only child?
2) Destined for fatherhood or too busy saving the galaxy to settle down?
3) Enjoys the rain?
4) Do you think he grumbled as much as the Krogan mechanic on Tuchanka while he was working on the Mako in ME1?
5) Do you think he's got a sniper rifle akin to Zaeed's Jessie? Maybe not as extreme, but a personal favorite?

I think if he does have a sibling, they're ages are pretty far apart. Like a difference of 7 or more years from each other.
2) Destined for fatherhood or too busy saving the galaxy to settle down?
I don't think he'd have children unless he knew he'd be there for them. Otherwise, he'd become his father. Though people do that, they swear they will do better than their parents only to discover to their horror that they've become their parents.
3) Enjoys the rain?
I bet he enjoys the novelty of it, staying most of his life in space these days.
4) Do you think he grumbled as much as the Krogan mechanic on Tuchanka while he was working on the Mako in ME1?
I bet he did and everyone but Shepard knew about it.
5) Do you think he's got a sniper rifle akin to Zaeed's Jessie? Maybe not as extreme, but a personal favorite?
Yes. He calls her Luscious Liz. Bonus points if anyone knows where that name came from without using Google.

We don't hear anything about siblings... but the way he keeps moaning when things don't go his way, reminds me of an only child. (no offense to people here who are an only child... I just see this a lotPacifien wrote...
1) Is Garrus an only child?
I haven't had the chance yet to discuss MUTANT BABIES/adoption with him, but until now... no, not really a father. He's always busy. Either with calibrations or with fighting injustice. (though I can vaguely imagine him raising a son to be just like him... XD)2) Destined for fatherhood or too busy saving the galaxy to settle down?
Palaven is hot. Maybe some rain is very welcome there. On other planets I'm not so sure.3) Enjoys the rain?
"Damn Shepard brought the Mako back without a combustion manifold... She can't drive for ****."4) Do you think he grumbled as much as the Krogan mechanic on Tuchanka while he was working on the Mako in ME1?
He says "I love his rifle" with every sniper rifle I give him. Garrus doesn't do rifle discrimination.5) Do you think he's got a sniper rifle akin to Zaeed's Jessie? Maybe not as extreme, but a personal favorite?

Game mechanics aside, I think Garrus would actually have a personal sniper rifle he'd prefer to stick with. Everything perfect, everything just so, fits his talons like a glove.Cerrydd wrote...

I've done a few "tell me what you think about the character" runs around the forum this morning, but I'm actually having trouble coming up with a few different questions about Garrus. I got as far as...
1) Is Garrus an only child?
2) Destined for fatherhood or too busy saving the galaxy to settle down?
3) Enjoys the rain?
4) Do you think he grumbled as much as the Krogan mechanic on Tuchanka while he was working on the Mako in ME1?

1. No idea. His lack of mention of any doesn't really help--apart from the chat about his father, he seems to keep talk of family and other friends pretty close to his chest. The only person he talks about at any length other than his dad was that recon scout. Makes me think he's been kind of an amiable loner for a long time.
2. Kinda depends what happens in ME3, I think, although I can see him being the favorite uncle of his teammates' kids.
3. I think it would be hard for him to relax and really enjoy rain, unless prodded to do so.
4. Not at first. I can't imagine that kind of grumbling about one's job being well received in mainstream turian culture. After he settled in, maybe he loosened up some, but I think it would be in a joking way, the way he jokes about going into the plague area on Omega.
5. I think he's a serial rifle fondler, and proud of it.

He loved every rifle until now. It's just that he hasn't found his true love yet. One that's so perfect that it fits his talons like a glove (awesome!). BW, make it happen!

He probably was immensely jealous when Shepard got the Widow. Not only that Shepard got a better sniper rifle, but also because Shepard would fondle it with more love and care than she would Garrus. Yes, sorry Garrus, you might be together until the end of days, but you will have to live with the knowledge that Shepard loves the Widow more.Cerrydd wrote...

I could also see a good argument made for only child, with the reason for Papa V's pressure being "only child to carry on my legacy."
2. Fatherhood? Maybe ten or twenty years in the future. Not now.
3. Rain? No idea, but it better be warm rain.
4. Grumbling on the mako? No. He likes working on the Mako. I actually imagined him wanting to be a mechanic/engineer for a while as a kid.
5. Special rifle - no, I don't think so, he will happily switch weapons. I think he's more attached to that visor, so much so that he doesn't even think to take it off when he comes visiting shep in his civvvy clothes. It's like a part of him.

What? It is a part of him! Someone gave him, like, a local anesthetic and drilled a hole in his head so they could attach the thing directly to his brain.WarlordFil wrote...

Okay, I don't actually believe that.
Yes, I do.
No, not really.
But I do.
Nah, I'm just kidding.
Or am I?
Actually, just think it's the developers being a bit lazy again. For instance, why is Kasumi in her ninja outfit while Shepard is in formal wear when they were both trying to enter Hock's party? I can see Hock denying Kasumi access simply because she looks like she's prepared to break into his vault.

I'd say yes, there’s a lot of pressure put on him to be "just like his dad" and the focus could be explainable if he was an only kid. If his dad wanted a mini-me and like parents who expect their children to have the same beliefs and interests as them and then are angry and disappointed that they don't, then it would also explain the hostility.
2) Destined for fatherhood or too busy saving the galaxy to settle down?
No, no, no, a thousand times no. If Bioware mentioned babies or adopting or any of that during their romance in ME3 I would be very disappointed in them. It’s a boring cliché that the only way people can make a couple progress in their relationships is to have babies. Look at your typical sitcom, movie sequel, forms of propaganda, you name it, it has been done to DEATH. It’s not edgy, it’s not surprising, and it’s the lazy option most of the time, you don't create a universe full of endless possibilities and imagination just to do what every other source of media does anyway.
The other problem is that Shepard and Garrus have far more important things to think about and do, their lives are full of chaos and danger and they are heroes first and foremost. I can't ever see them "settle down" as they hate injustice so much they aren't the type of people to just give up and do something else or do it half heartedly. I'd rather see them to continue their lives as a spectre couple; and have lots of adventures together; it suits them and their characters to do so. As I said, you can show progression without resorting to such an over-used cliché, and if it happens in ME3 it would feel out of place and bloody strange to hear Garrus and Shepard talk about kids, you think a renegade Shepard would say something like that???? Let alone neutral Shepard? Frankly I'd rather they say that they love each other and it end so people can write as much fan fiction as they want about it without making other players feel uncomfortable with their Shepard's talking about babies. Sorry if I rambled
3) Enjoys the rain?
He wouldn't admit it out loud but I think he would enjoy it, as palaveen is so hot I think he’d like the sensation of rain.
4) Do you think he grumbled as much as the Krogan mechanic on Tuchanka while he was working on the Mako in ME1?
Big time! All the times I crashed that Mako you bet he grumbled!
5) Do you think he's got a sniper rifle akin to Zaeed's Jessie? Maybe not as extreme, but a personal favorite?
He must view it as a “lucky rifle” and have a great fondness for it but does it have a name? Maybe but Garrus wouldn’t tell anybody

Great, now I picture Garrus and Shepard fighting over the thermostat. Shepard: 23! Garrus: That's freezing!
Oh yes, I used metric. Take that you unscientific imperial heathens.
ETA: Oh yeah, and agree with Hyrule's rant about everything leading to children. That irritates.
