I probably would do the following.
*Say to myself:
1. I'll just install it to make sure it works.
2. I'll find the save I want to use for playing it.
3. I'll make sure that save loads correctly.
4. Since I'm here, might as well just watch the opening, make sure it works.
5. Watch it while saying to myself, I'll stop as soon as this is over.
6. End result: scenario you described above and an unhappy morning wake-up.

Saved from all of this by the incredibly long download time....

I agree with this. xD My MainShep was the "bad cop" during this interrogation and had fun with it. I seem to remember Kelham calling her a b***h... and then she hit him. Several times. I played through that mission a few different ways, and once she actually knocked him unconscious. It was awesome.

i think, some here are referring to the LotSB DLC? I haven't finished it yet, so I won't catch up on the posts...I just don't wanna spoil myself. Since Bioware basically screwed up my last night-Ilium fun by uploading a bunch of zeros for all pc users, I went to re-activate my Peter Shepard in ME1, loaded some old saves and captured some clips. Figured, there can never be enough turian awesomeness...

I've been annoyed about all of the content they're putting into these DLCs, worrying that the "bridge the gap" stuff will be required for ME3 (which would basically make it impossible/pointless for me to even buy it)... and then Saren vids get posted, "rawr" scene and all. Awesome.

i just got back home and will play the rest of my Shadow Broker DLC. I'll try to grab a clip of the Gavorn tape. I have Fraps running in the back all the time anyway. Then I'll load my Eden Prime save and get the lines for Sia. There really aren't much.

my disc drive decided to be gay so I did the Eden Prime stuff first.

After landing on Eden Prime: This place got hit hard, Commander. Hostiles everywhere. Keep your guard up.

After Jenkins' death when moving on: I've got some burned out buildings here, Shepard. A lot of bodies. I'm going to check it out. I'll try to catch up with you at the dig site.

After talking at the dig site: Change of plans, Shepard. There's a small spaceport up ahead. I want to check it out. I'll wait for you there.

Joker dropped Nihlus off on landing point one, Shepard and the squad on landing point two.
