Saren is a prettyboy? xD I don't see it... maybe without all the metal, the cracks in his faceplates, and the evil stare.

Ah, but what beautiful faceplates he has had!  Striking domed brow and long cheekbone-thingys. Athough to be sure, that amount of body modification has got to be rather grotesque as an idea, regardless of the aesthetic interest.

I don't like his butt though.

ME1 Garrus is probably the most "pretty" turian I've seen. He was the youngest with smooth faceplates, and a lot of cute expressions.

Yep, Garrus has such cute expressions!   He's the cutest.  But  the more I look at Lorik Qui'in, the more handsome he looks to me.  More of a mature, severe look, but I love that slightly patriarchal air he's got.

Ugh, I wish these forums had a "preview" button

Oh man. That shirt.

On the one hand, Garrus shirt. On the other hand, it looks a little too unprofessional--that red color is overwhelming. Plus--it's just his face. That's...underwhelming?

I would prefer something more like this:

with his sniper rifle in tow.

Or maybe something more like squidbunny's art? I'UNNO.

I like Saren's "side-fringe." :) It's awesome, and was also modified somehow - possibly to reattach and hold them in place like his jaw and mandible implants seem to do. It makes me wonder about what happened.

I think all turians look really cool. In an unbaised opinion, not choosing my favorite turian for everything, Li probably has the cutest smile when Shepard asks him about his job. His mandibles just flare out the whole time he's talking. xD I like Lorik too. MainShep wanted to sit down and talk when he offered. Lorik's one of the friendliest turians in-game, especially towards a human (and a Spectre, which most people on Noveria had a problem with).

Li's mandibles!  He's so adorable!
And Lorik is, like, the Sean Connery of turians.  Awesome mix of friendliness and gravitas.  I love it that he's willing to talk, so it surprised me that he didn't want to testify.  I guess he's really loyal to the company and doesn't like to stick out and make waves, judging from what he says if you betray him.  I did an entire replay for the sole purpose of not making him testify, just to get an email from him in ME2:blush:

I didn't even like him that much first time around, but now I feel like he's turianness incarnate.

That said, it's Garrus that I love.<3

That's the first thing I thought about Lorik when I met him back at ME1.

It's like Li got all happy when the Spectre was interested enough to care about his job. xD He likes to talk.

Lorik = the Sean Connery of turians? :D Now I want to see him in battle. I can just imagine him doing something awesome and then telling Shepard, "I was trained by the best. Turian Intelligence." Actually, an intelligence job could work for him... we know he has the skills to get evidence from Anoleis.

Saren's my favorite character. :) He has been since Revelation.

@Bill569: JulianP made the Sean Connery comparison, not me. xD I think it's a brilliant idea though.

I made a thread about that horrible garrus shirt design. Go there and give bioware what we really think. I hope to god they don't release that thing.

That would be soooo cool.  That aura of competence and responsibility must have come from somewhere. Bet he has a few stories to tell about his youthful exploits or training.  He seems simultaneously upright and cunning. Lorik the raconteur for ME3!

I just finished LotSB--and not to delve into any spoilers in courtesy of those who haven't finished/played-- I really enjoyed some things I learned about "someone" in it :P

There is also a discouraging implication in the summary about Garrus that he'll never reach his full leadership potential while he's being overshadowed by Shepard. However, the Shadow Broker DLC gives me hope that they can sufficiently include a character even if they're not a permanent team member.

Oh no!  That really sounds like a hint that he might not be on the squad next time around.  Grr, my Shepard is *not* overshadowing him! :crying:   It's not like Garrus would sit still for a normal career while Shepard is out dealing with Reapers. But maybe after it's all over, they can both get jobs with normal hours on the Citadel or something ...

Not having Garrus around would feel like a Virmire.  Please don't take him out of my squad!

One must keep in mind that this is the Shadow Broker's opinion, which does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the writers.

Considering the popularity of Garrus/Tali outside of the fandoms, I'd say those two are going to be male/fem squadmate constants.

Garrus needs him one of those fancy suits TIM and the Shadowbroker wear.

You know, for science.

I won't let garrus leave. I know hes gotta be his own man someday but letting him go in this condition is such a bad idea.

Totally agree.  I just can't see either Shep or Garrus feeling particularly frisky, now.  Her crew's just been taken and he just found out his mother can't be treated.  So... go shag?   And frankly, comfort would take a bit more than 2 hours.

And if it's after... what, there was nothing more than inter-species' awkwardness and he wrote his sister to get it out of his head?  :(

Did you read the 2nd dossier?

Last mail message received before Omega 4 relay jump:
Mr. Vakarian,
On behalf of the Helos Medical Institute, I would like to thank you for your efforts. It has been understandably difficult to get Collector tissue, given the sensitive situation on the human colonies, so the samples you sent to us have been extremely helpful. Please also offer my sincere thanks to Dr. Solus--I understand he made some calls to the Special Tasks Group, and as a result, our corporate clearance was upgraded.
Your concern about the Corpalis Syndrome is well-founded. While rare, it's an ugly disease. The neurological degeneration is both difficult to witness and nearly impossible to halt. We are in fact working on some test trials for a new treatment, and I believe that with our new STG clearance, we can get all fees for the trial members waived as a governmental cooperation effort with the Turian Hierarchy.
Thank you again for your assistance. Donations like these help keep us running. Per your request, we will keep your donations strictly anonymous.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jelith Kieron
Helos Medical Institute

My opinion of Garrus just skyrocketed after reading that. Behind the scenes he made sure that his mother DID get treatment.

That's an experimental treatment, it sounds like, and nothing definite.    It MAY help.

So yeah... she's still incurable.

Good point... thanks for calming me down ;)  After I read some of the other dossiers, it became more evident that it was all from the perspective of "how can the Shadow Broker manipulate these people?"  So maybe there's still a decent chance.  Let it be so!

Okay I don't like that tee at all (the one from fb). I think Julian's 12 yo friend who drew the Garrus pic could come up with a better design than that. I like the one where he has his sniper rifle slung over his shoulder though I'm not sure if I'd want something with a design that big and square (or rectangle as the case may be)

Oh cool!  I'll have to tell him that! :D

I liked the sniper rifle pose too, but I wouldn't like that background on a tee, and Garrus' hips looked too slender.  But then again, it's not like I can draw any better...

It would be awesome to see Lorik again in ME3. :) I don't remember the exact words from his e-mail, but didn't he welcome Shepard back to Noveria? I hope we'll see some of those people who sent e-mails to Shepard again in the next game.

I doubt Garrus and Tali are going to leave Shepard right before the Reapers attack. If Garrus became a Spectre at the end of ME3 after saving the galaxy, that could be cool.

I know, he needs some emotional stability first. Garrus is the kind of guy who just bottles everything up, yet inside he's trying not to fall apart.

If any turian that isn't Garrus is going to return for Mass Effect 3 I want it to be Li. I love that "joisey" accent he has.
