Thats fair, but if you or anyone would be so kind as to tell me the
characters name so I may look her up I would appreciate it. I'll probably
never read the book, partially because I feel weird about reading books
based on video games and partly because I don't read any books under 100
years old.

Well you've missed out on some great literature then.  A lot has been written in the last 100 years thats been well worth reading.

No problem. I always read the spoilers too, so I knew about all of the turian-related stuff before I even found Retribution a week after release date. xD

you may want to reconsider this because although the books play in the ME universe, they don't include Shepard at all and have their own, stand-alone story arc. Brilliantly written with many background infos

But I've led this thread off topic for too long already. We should be talking about something Garrus-y. Topic:I wonder why didn't Garrus get a special "ya your in a romance with this person" note in his shadow broker dossier. To the best of my knowledge only thane gets one.

And I didn't say it was wrong, abnormal or insane, just that some of my favourite books are this century! Many of my favourites are also older than 100 yo.

And just keep this post relevant: Garrus.

I guess we got the family relationship and the name of the Omega team.  I don't begrudge Thane fans getting that tidbit,  think it was quite poignant given he's a dying man.

Don't even get me started on a rant.  I went through LotSB with my renegadeShep first because she happened to have romanced Liara in ME1, and I was so dumsbtruck by the inclusion of the Thane LI note that I immediately started up another go-through with my mainShep who had romanced Garrus. 

Oh, and did I mention I had to work that night and put off sleep to do this?  Cuz' I did. 
Yea, cue me discovering his dossier had absolutely nothing extra in it that acknowledged the romance.    I'm sad we don't get a little bit extra, like Thane, but I think I'm satisfied with learning what we did about Garrus's family.  I wasn't expecting a big "I love you" e-mail (and I wouldn't want that sort of thing confessed in such a way, anyways) but I thought they'd do something similar to Tali's internet searches where she's researching human mating practices. 

Ah well.  It seems that Jack, Miranda, and Jacob don't get any LI-specific content either.  Can't be sure on Jacob, though, because I don't think anyone actually romanced him to find out. 

[edit] @Buggirl - Yea, I think the letter works perfectly for Thane's circumstances.  Also, consider the fact that the letter wasn't supposed to reach Shepard's eyes until after he dies, so it's not as if he technically dropped the L-bomb.

I'm sure someone will post full dossier contents at some point Tootles. I was a bit shocked about Thane getting something like that initially and not Garrus, but I loved the family dynamics of the Vakarians, made me all warm and fuzzy.

I think the devs have tried to accomodate something different for everyone.  I've read some of the fans responses to the dossiers, some of the Miranda fans were a bit cheesed off, I personally loved that dossier though - without TMI I'll say it really resonated with me.

Ya I can also confirm that Tali doesn't get any content either, but to be honest it was hard to complain after her suit log one. That brought me a lot more joy then it should have.
Of course its entirely possible that it is in fact in there. Dragon Age: Awakening had a glitch in which you wouldn't get a love letter from your love interest when you were supposed to. It could have happened again.

Just to clarify, I love the fact that Thane fans got the letter. It was great and i shed a single tear drop reading it, I just wish more fans got a little exclusive nod.

Jacob's vid had me lol all over the place. I was frapsing the moment I got all vids for the first time, so after doing that, I went back and watched the jacob vid again just for the lulz. also the Kalisah videos crack me up!!!! damn, that woman gets punched a lot. The volus one is pure win xD

I think the Gavorn bed one surprised me the most. In that two seconds my thought process was, "this one looks boring...hey whose that guy , wait does that mean--No dont stop now! I'll never find out if it means what i think it does!!"
