Agreed, and I know I really appreciated his humorous side because it really did help take the edge off the angst. His writer is absolutely brilliant.
Do we know who wrote Garrus? In the DA/DA2 forums all the writers (David Gaider, Sheryl Chee, Mary Kirby) are pretty communicative with the fans - I wish we had similar input here.

At the end of ME3 the Normandy drops escape pods after killing the last reaper. All have been found, except for the one holding commander Shepard, and Garrus Vakarian.
However hours later they find it admist the debris and haul it aboard the Destiny Ascension.
Anderson: Finally, I thought we would never find these two.
Turian Counciler: Indeed its almost like they didnt want to be found. I owe an apology I think to a certian commander. Especially after she brought us toghther before it was to late.:
TC: VAKARIAN! What the hell are you doing!
Garrus: ... Keeping up the turian end sir.
Two things, I have to much time on my hands, and I watched that movie to much.

I've heard it said that Mac Walters wrote Garrus. Don't know if that was true or if it's just straight-up hearsay, but there you have it.
ALSO:
Because I've been reading it alarmingly often from people wanting Garrus off the team to "spread his wings" as a Spectre...HE'S NOT INTERESTED.
@2:54
Shepard: How did you end up fighting mercenaries here on Omega?
Garrus: I trained to become a Spectre after the Normandy was destroyed, but it didn't work out. Too much politicking at the Citadel. Nobody was willing to take risks.
Garrus: Omega was filled with criminals nobody else could touch, and there was no red tape to slow me down. It was a perfect fit.
So please, for the love of Garrus, STOP WITH THE WHOLE "I want Garrus to become a Spectre in ME3." Garrus himself decided against becoming a Spectre. He walked away so he could be really free to do what he wanted...and that was go to Omega to kick some ass, and then join up with Shepard to REALLY kick some ass.
Not saying anyone here is necessarily saying that...but I've been lurking in too many threads lately where people bring up wanting to see Garrus leave and become a Spectre or something. So who better to make aware and spread the word than we who love Garrus, amiright?

And hooray for Garrus staying right where he is in ME3! I loathe the entire theory of Garrus not being able to reach his "potential" with Shepard...I love LotSB for a lot of things, but for that damn insinuation I will hates it forevar!

And I agree about loathing such insinuations. I take comfort in the knowledge that they are written from the previous SB's opinions and he took a very negative view of all the squadmates.

Is it just me, or is Garrus's voice deeper in ME2?
Wish I could tell you. All I know is that, when he opens his mouth, liquid sex for the ears pours out and I'm practically hypnotized. His voice is almost like a drug...and that's why no one could ever voice Garrus but Brandon Keener...and if they go through with the ME movie being about Shepard...BK NEEDS to voice Garrus. Seriously.

But having just played ME1 and jumped right into ME2, I feel like his voice is definitely deeper. The other conclusion I've reached is that he's gotten a lot more adept at stealing my headshots in ME2. LOL

Here's hoping whoever they get to direct the film is a fan of the games.
