Yeah I agree. Some how with everything he's been through in ME1, Shepard's death and then Omega Garrus saying "I'll be here if you need me" holds so much more weight. It feels like he really would follow Shepard through hell and beyond if asked (at least to me).

Being a nice guy, I think Garrus would follow Shep into hell without being asked.

He practically demanded it in the first game. :D

This has probably been brought up before, but due to their fringes, there is no way a turian could possible lay flat on his or her back comfortably. Their entire race either sleeps on their side or stomach.
I, like many others I'm sure, noticed this in the Garrus/Shepard cuddle scene.

I'd imagine they use a neck roll type of pillow if they want to sleep on their backs, or perhaps something like the props that some of the Chinese or Japanese ladies used to use to keep their lackered hairdos from getting mashed while they slept.

I've always kind of imagined Turian Beds to be in the style of http://futons.net/Pr...dfootstool.jpg' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'> papasan chairs.
You know. Like nests.

You know, that makes way more sense than trying to put a spiky, collared Turian onto a flat bed.   I always had a problem with the physics of the cuddling scene :-)  I just figured they threw lots of pillows and quilts under Garrus to help make it more comfortable.

Maybe Turians don't need sleep or they sleep half their brain at a time. That would explain how Garrus was able to hold off those mercs for so long. No wait, scratch that he held them off using nothing but his power of being awesome.

I know this is kind of vague, but I don't have a specific thing that I think will happen or that I want to happen.  I want to be surprised and I think there are like four hundred great directions you could take his character in.  I trust Bioware to come up with something cool and fitting.  I do like the analogy you guys in Clan Z came up with though of "Padawan, Jedi, Master" being Garrus arc over the three games.  I really want to see Garrus as a full out equal for Shep in ME3.  I'm actually kind of fond of the idea of us turning to him for advice instead of the other way around in the last game, but I don't know how that could be made to work.  It would be a very awesome culmination if Bioware could figure something out though.

I'm a day late and a dollar short here, these days, but this definitely bears repeating.  This strikes me as a great, great idea.

eta:  That desktop is very cool!  Also the Riptide pic...very talented artist.  I also just love his other piece with Tali, Manshep and Garrus on Ilium.

The Saren picture is awesome. :) Riptide's art all looks great. There's some with Garrus on the fanart thread. (And while I was looking through that thread, I saw a picture by a different artist of Santa Saren riding a geth reindeer sleigh. MainShep has her next Christmas present.) Also, nice drawings from JulianP and her friend.

I can't imagine Saren being interested in having a family, unless it plays some role in him furthering himself within the turian heirachy.

I think he could have been when he was older if Sovereign and the Reapers never happened. Saren was still pretty young in Revelation - 18 during the First Contact War, and Revelation is 8 years after, which would make him 26? His wife would have to be used to not seeing much of him though, since he wouldn't stop being a busy Spectre, but just think about the next generation of Sarendoctrination. xD MainShep is very lucky that there's such a slim chance Saren would be able to tolerate someone else, and that so few women would be able deal with him. She's used to the insanity. Saren fits right in with her crazy family.

Talid was an upcoming politician. And his anti-human outlooks were extreme.

On the other hand, Elias Kelham, the crime boss who hired Kolyat to kill Talid, wasn't much of an alien fan either if I look at some of the video footage from LotSB.

Thanks for the link, I should have checked the Wiki. He still doesn't seem that bad to me though... just another corrupt politician. I've read about Kelham hitting a turian with a car in one of the vids though. That guy got what he deserved when MainShep knocked him out. Of course she played the bad cop.

Retribution spoiler - turians sleep in beds, with blankets. I need to find the exact page. I'm not sure if it said anything about their pillows/headrests, but probably not.

Humans can stay awake for a very long time, so I assume it's the same for turians. Garrus must have been exhausted after the rescue though. Poor guy. It's a good thing he had enough awesome to hold them off until Shepard showed up.

Having just played Garrus's recruitment mission again very recently, I found myself really struck by how incredibly tired and drained he sounds during the scene right after he takes off his helmet.  Seriously, he sounds like he can hardly summon the energy to get the words out, although he's trying to be his usual witty self.  More great BK VO, as usual :police:

I reiterate, Garrus needs a hug! Well, at that moment, he needed a 12 hour nap, a good meal, and some tactical assistance. But after all that, he needed a hug!

Now that you mention it, Garrus did sound a tired in his recruitment... at least, from what I can remember. It's been a long time since I've played it. And my Shepard did try to give him a hug! She stood there with open arms, but he didn't go for the hug. He probably didn't even realize that she wanted to hug him. xD Turians can be oblivious sometimes.

I've only seen the body bags in screenshots. I was too busy fighting off the mercs, getting poor Shepard lost and killed to notice anything else when I was playing the game. Maybe next time.

There are body bags all over the hideout where Garrus is stuck when you find him. I didn't realize on my first play through that that's what they were though. Poor Garrus having to put all his dead men into body bags then fight on all by himself for who knows how long before Shepard finds him :-(

And, maybe a shower.  (Well, I would've, in his position!)

It is sad that Garrus had to do that for his own friends, and it must have been hard for him. Garrus' combat history is a little like Sole Survivor Shepard's now. Too bad Shepard can't tell him not to blame himself for what happened.

@JulianP: Garrus has a bed? Where, in his hideout on Omega?

Yeah, let me load a save near there and see if I can take a picture of the screen with my camera (if someone with PC beats me to it, good.)
