I'll be honest, I have a fondness for many of the options in that poll, all for different reasons.

But only one of those guys is in my sig.

Argh how does one decide between Zevran, Alistair and Garrus!! I'd say Garrus but only just :-)

I never got far enough into DA to get well-acquainted with anybody, so for me, the choice is obvious ;)

Carth was my first.  I can't vote against him.  I spent every weekend for three years with Kaidan.  Hardened Alistair reminds me of my husband.  Zevran's just ridiculously awesome.  And Garrus has The Voice, the gun... the friendship and the loyalty.

I cannot decide in this poll, so y'all will have to vote for me:  http://social.biowar...33/polls/11258/

Carth v Kaidan v Alistair v Zevran v Garrus?  I can't.

I love Alistair in DA:O, but if a sparring match was about to happen in a strange different universe between Alistair and Garrus, I'd be rooting for the turian. And grab some popcorn.

Never knew Carth and have never been tempted to romance Kaidan or Zevran, so yeah, I know who to choose XD

Well, I love lots of those characters and thought I couldn't vote fairly either. Then I remembered "oh yea, you've only ever joined a fandom over Garrus." I guess that answers my question.  That link is dead for me though.

Yeah I have to agree with you Raga - it was Garrus that lured me out into the open and made me engage in all these discussions about him. He's just that awesome! Bet Garrus t-shirts will outperform the three wolf moon shirts for miracles when they decide what to do.

I would have voted for Garrus...but Tali... well...

But hey, Garrus is my second favorite. Any other choice for a female Shepard just feels wrong.

I'll always say that I think Thane has the best written romance of the female LIs. But his depresses the hell out of me. So I go for Garrus because his accidental innuendo makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I have to finish my Thane/Vanguard PT of ME2. Maybe after I finish with this Garrus/Infiltrator one. Garrus's lack of dialogue is really sticking out like a sore thumb for me this time around, although I admit to going to hear his "calibrations" line after every mission, because it makes me laugh after all the discussions on here. XD

I think Thane's is the best romance contained entirely inside one game. I know technically Tali's and Garrus' romances are also only in one game but you can't really remove all the stuff that happened with them before so it can't help but impact the romance and how it evolves. So when you take all that together, I think they have the best. Liara's is also good, but really most of her good content is in LotSB and I don't know that that content on it's own is any stronger than other arcs. Her ME1 romance is very weak, and LotSB also enhances the other romances so I dunno. I was thinking hers was the best now, but as I stop and consider I don't think it's quite as stupendous as most people are making it out to be. I mean, I came out of LotSB thinking more about Garrus than Liara so she hardly swept everybody else out of the way. I did really like Liara in LotSB, but I still say 85% of the arc is in that DLC. She didn't pass everybody else up. She just now finally caught up with them.

You have summed up this beautifully.

I would have voted for Garrus, but it's a bit unbalanced - the DA:O love interests have massive amounts of dialogue compared to the ME love interests.  Considering that the Garrus romance isn't even concluded yet (and I can't wait to see where they go in ME3) as of right now I have to give it to Alistair.

I would love it if they included something similar in ME3 to what they had in DA:O, where each love interest gives you a gift at a certain point in the romance.  How cute would it be if Garrus gave you a little token of affection (perhaps a 15cm serrated blade?) and it then appears as a decoration in your Captain's Quarters?

If anything like this actually happened, you would be able to hear the ensuing "squee" from me wherever you are.  Doesn't matter where on earth you are located.  The furthest away you could be from me (Australia?) would be at most 12,000 miles or so.  You'd hear it.

OMG that would be so awesome! Liara gave Shep her tags so it would totally be within the realm of the possible! Even better would be if it was a weapon especially for Shepard to use on her missions. It would totally be my good luck charm!

A special weapon from Garrus to Shepard, left in her wardrobe or locker or something, would be like getting an engagement ring or at least a dozen roses for anyone else.  I know Meche's heart would melt. <3:wub::P

I liked the idea of having the look of Shepards quarters change depending on you love interest. Like if your with Garrus you can see a disassembled sniper rifle and maybe some turian art. I dont know, i haven't thought it through completely. Still, i think it would be cool.

Oooh just seeing Garrus's tunic over the corner of the couch and a sniper rifle in pieces on the desk and Garrus's crate in the room would be amazing! I'd actually spend time in the cabin just staring at his stuff :-) For once the fish would probably live.

They really should have included something post-SM, I think. It would have been something if they replaced your ME1 LI's desk photo with your ME2's picture, but I also think the down-turned framed is a nice touch if you cheated.

For ME3 there should definitely be a photo of Garrus on your desk, and if it's possible it should be a photo with your FemShep in it, too! Cu~uuuute!

Along these lines, I wonder if your LI will be able to move into your quarters by the time ME3 rolls around - instead of calling them up they'll always be located there, and little touches like Garrus's armor/rifle and clothes would be a constant feature.  And maybe his and hers necessities in the bathroom?  That bathroom needs some decoration.

I don't know how feasible having them always be in your room would be since the Normandy is a functioning ship and calibrations need to be done, presumably, but having their stuff in your quarters would be a cute way of showing that you share your quarters.

Garrus wouldn't always have to be in Shepards room, but maybe every 5th time you enter your quarters Garrus would be there. You know, to calibrate.

That would be awesome if ALL the squaddies occassionally moved around.  I'd love to see Garrus in another section of the ship besides his batcave the forward batteries; maybe sitting at the mess table, in Shep's quarters, and in the men's bathroom, haha!

It would be pretty funny to actually walk into the bathroom and find some one else there! Just like the peeing Turian at the citadel.

KG that photo is perfect!
