Hmm, I wonder if I should make my kids watch the first part of Garrus's LM again? LOL

Seriously though, couldn't agree more about that conversation. It's a great scene for several reasons.

The "hospitals aren't fun to fight through" comment on Mordin's loyalty mission is high on my list. I still don't know if I like Garrus' or Kasumi's version of that scene better.

For favourite non-romance convos, the aircab convo comes to mind first. The hospitals quote and his reaction to Wrex explaining what's wrong with Grunt are also pretty high up on the list. Oh, and the "I have a shotgun" exchange, of course. As for the broken neck moment, it's both unnerving and sexy at the same time.

Saw the romance poll discussion too. I wouldn't have been able to decide between Garrus and Zevran, so it's a good thing the poll is over.

Also, I think it was Kim who mentioned that no one should have any romances besides Shepard in ME3? I disagree with that, I'd like to see at least hints that it's not all about Shepard and that the squaddies have other options. Obviously, I support Tali/Kal, for better or for worse, but I can also see unromanced Miranda and Jacob getting back together. Actually, I think they'd be a better pair than Miranda/Shepard or Jacob/Shepard (don't hit me!) Kaidan/Ashley could've been fun, but well...that obviously ain't gonna happen.

And yes, unromanced Garrus with a turian lady would also be nice. Don't think he'd work with any of the female squaddies though.

Actually, the reverse is usually considered to be better, control-wise, at least from the woman's POV. Better topic for the NSFW thread though.

Kasumi. Mordin starts with his "repurposed krogan hospital" thing, then Kasumi asks him if he thinks about that kind of stuff all the time. Mordin replies by saying that he falls asleep sometimes. Jane has a video of it.

I don't know how I feel about other squaddies having romances in game. I wouldn't mind it being like casually mentioned or something but I don't want some kind of drawn out arc complete with multiple dialogs that has nothing to do with the plot. Also, having to compete with a squaddie for an LI sounds good on paper but is really annoying in execution. The only place I saw it done was in BG2 and it drove me absolutely bonkers. I do agree that squaddies should be more reactive in relationships. The ME2 LIs kinda felt like they were literally just standing around waiting for Shep to hit on them.

Oh no, I agree that it shouldn't be a complete arc or anything. Just a small hint or a mention of it somewhere would be just fine.

I don't think you should compete with squaddies for an LI either. The other romances would only happen if you haven't romanced that squaddie yourself or if your Shepard is the wrong gender. Heck, they don't even have to be inevitable: if someone really dislikes the idea of Miranda/Jacob, for example, even though they've not romanced either of them, they could have the choice to avoid it, somehow.

More reactive LIs would be great though. Garrus taking intiative would be -inducing.
