OK, I just got motivated to continue my playthrough.  Pardon me everybody.

(And yes, there are those of us who find turians genuinely attractive, believe it or not. )

eta: top!  Holy cow, 3 in a row!  This is my lucky day!

Ok, got my friend playing Mass Effect, and Garrus has another willing lady lined up.

She was meh on him, right up until she saw him on Omega.

Honestly she said "He's like PERFECT!", then I said he is a LI, and she squeed even more.

Its funny that a giant half-bird/dinosaur man beats TEH prize so easily.

Ok I #$%@$^ give up, how do I make a linkable url with text? (the link "says something" instead of just the address of the link)??

Write the words you want to make into a link.  Then highlight them using the standard form.  The click "insert/edit link" and add the url in the box.

I don't find turians to be attractive in general.

But I could listen to Keener read words out of a dictionary.

I think he mostly swallows stuff whole. Turians have gizzards and that's what gizzards are for, grinding up food for animals that can't chew much.

Right, the gizzard. Heres whats great about that.
In order for the gizzard to work, animals with them have to swallow small rocks to grind up  the food with.
Basicly what im getting at is; Garrus is so badass, he eats rocks for breakfast.
(p.s. Is that a proper use of a semi-colin? No seriously.)

Haha, nice.
And in my opinion, you totally murdered that sentence with that semicolon. You should have brought in daddy Colon right there, or his uncle- the Dash.

Surprisingly few people know how to actually use a semi-colon. So don't feel too bad about it.

And Ragabul, I am mentally challenged, at least today. I don't really get what you just told me to do. Please have pity on my pathetic self and PM me (I can't PM others first, for some reason...only respond). I am at your mercy with my lameness today. Please help. :P

I'm more curious as to how turians drink.  They must have to tilt their heads back and gulp it down, what with those openings along the sides of their mouth.  Or, ya know...Garrus with a sippy straw.

I don't think it's unusual to believe that Garrus finds Shepard attractive.  Look at all of us on this forum - humans can't be the only ones who find aliens good-looking (and we know that turians pair up on occassion with asari).  I find it very likely that Garrus might have admired her as a human female but never put it into his head to view her as a possible sexual partner...but once you take the blinders off, it's full steam-blowin' ahead, baby.

I can't chose between the visor and the ripping suits every where as my fav part of that comic :-) Its one of my all time fav Garrus comics - for some reason I couldn't get the picture to show up - had to settle for a link.

Woot! Another one has discovered the wonder that is Garrus. ^^

Also, I'm not sure that it's any wonder...

Turians: Awesome-looking aliens with hot voices.

Garrus: The Voice; nice build; witty, has a sense of humor; badass; good with his hands; good with his...rifle; doesn't suffer injustice and is driven to do something about it; is very capable (went toe-to-toe with a krogan and won); is intelligent; has a heart of gold; has a great deal of respect for, and trust in, Shepard.  And so on.

Therefore: Turians + Garrus = Win Bomb amongst the ladies.

And that has to be one of my favorite comics with Garrus.  I die laughing EVERY time.

Thank you all for the semi-colon advice, I'd like to thank every English teacher I ever had for teaching me absolutely NOTHING.

Anyway, I don't think its out of the realm of possibility that Garrus finds Shepard at least a little physically attractive. I mean, I've been around the internet enough to know that just about anyone can find just about anything attractive. Besides, if Garrus didn't find her attractive at all he could have simply declined.

Yea, I actually wrote that it had been done right at first, and then did a double take and was like oops, nevermind.  Had to edit my own advice.  Damn, I am officious today.

Well if we can go gaga over Turians here, it's very possible that Turians could find things about humans that are attractive (at least I'd hope so). That would make it highly possible that Garrus could find elements of Shepard physically appealing - even if he wasn't into humans before he started thinking of Shepard as more than just a friend.

EDIT:  Just totally restated TootlesFTW above - sorry

Well, apparently Vaenia doesn't bother him.

Attraction like physical attraction? They like eachother's personalities of course, but they also need physical attraction too, right?

Sorry if I'm stagnating the discussion but I like hearing what other people have to say on the matter.

He doesn't start questioning it until later and then he is actually concerned about femshep.  "I know you can find something closer to home."  I think he's surprised she picked him and really wants to make sure she's into this.  He never suggests he isn't into it himself.  He's fishing to make sure she really is.  And also, I think he values a relationship that can go beyond looks.  He's torn up about his scars.  They bother him.  That's part of the potency of when Shep strokes her hand down his face in the romance scene.  She's saying "I don't care about these" and that gesture is what gets him to finally calm down and go with it.  Cue moving silence and meaningful, deep stare. So even if he isn't phsycally attracted to Shep; he isn't turned off by her either and he figures "she can look past the physical hurdles on my side.  I should be able to look past  them for her as well."  That scene is especially moving if you are playing a renegade Shep who is also scarred up.

If you're romancing someone else alongside Garrus (I know, scandalous!) and he confronts you about it, if you choose him he says "That's...not what I expected to hear."  The way he says it, with the pause, makes it almost pathetically sad to me.  For all of his supposed bravado, he really sells himself short.

I love the self-conscious Garrus of ME2, but I hope in ME3 we see a more confident and at-ease Garrus alongside our FemSheps.

[Edit] @Ragabul - Eh, I don't take a song from a soundtrack as evidence enough that he's leering at asari.  Or maybe I just don't want to go there in my paranoid mind...Samara and Liara would have to watch their scantily-covered blue asses.

Maybe the tune for Vaenia is a really good techno tune? And that clip of Garrus makes me want to hug him yet again! Poor guy needs some good things to happen to him.

Garrus has never considered cross-species intercourse before Shepard. He hasn't been leering at asari...because if he was, it would mean he's considered it. :P

Perhaps he just likes the song?

Edit: Gah! That love triangle vid.  Oh, Garrus...don't you know you have legions of fangirls ready and willing to answer your call? D'8

Poor guy...first he's like: No way can Shepard be interested in me.  I'm just a failure of a scarred turian.  She has better options...human options.

Right, we had this discussion the other day. He's never eyeballed asari. Just like I've never eyeballed asari in a "I want to jump them way." I can still find them aesthetically pleasing. As I can quarians. Something like that could easily be turned into sexual attraction. My point is, he doesn't seem to be bothered by human/asari or turian/quarian love scenes. I actually think he did watch those movies, especially Fleet and Flotilla and I think there's a decent chance he liked it. I think it might have fighting in it for one thing. Vaenia maybe not. My point is; the idea doesn't bother him even if he never thought about it in an active fashion.

I can't see why he couldn't appreciate a show regardless of the species involved. Only example coming into my head at this moment is Disney's cartoon Robin Hood (sorry I know it's a bit lame) where all the characters are animals. Enjoying seeing 2 foxes romance each other doesn't mean that you have a thing for foxes.
