No. No, I can't. XD
The results could be hilarious, though! XD

Once out of curiosity, at the "I know you can find someone closer to home", I picked the breaking off option. I had saved right before yes, I just wanted to know how he'd react before the relationship...picked up some mometum. shepard says something about how they'd be better as friends, and he says something like "Exactly! If we want to share an intimate moment, we can blow something up...again."

I think he probably just wanted to agree with Shepard there. After Garrus found out about all the risks, he wanted to give Shepard an easy way out and feel like they're still good friends. I can't judge his tone of voice there because I've never watched that scene, only read about it.

As for foods that turians think are weird, maybe something from the bird family? xD Or eggs if that's what they're born from. Salarians might think that's weird, at least.

I can only imagine what Garrus must imagine when learning of mammal physiology. And if he feels like *that*, what do you suppose Shep feels like of turian stuff??

Reminds me of this...

Re: Milk

I drink delicious almond milk, tyvm. :P Admittedly I was a huge dairy milk drinker for much of my life. I still consider that far less icky than the chemical/artificial concoctions people subject their bodies to (soda, flavored "juice" drinks, energy drinks, etc.).

Re: Turians and food

Even if they hatch from eggs, and I believe they do, I don't think they would be weirded out by eating the eggs of other species. I gladly eat veal, lamb, and adult variants of other animals and don't feel weird about it. Wild raptors (like hawks and eagles) will eat other birds...it isn't cannibalism. Some reptiles eat the eggs of other reptiles and birds.

Re: Dumping Garrus

How could you?! ;p I think, as others have noted, it's Garrus making it as easy an out as possible and just not wanting to ruin his last remaining friendship. Makes my heart break for him even more...and makes the final scene, if you break up with him there, that much more heartwrenching. T-T

See, it's stuff like this that make me think a female Shep that's into Garrus--from the obvious liking him as a person and whatnot--is a little sadistic. And I really mean that in the best way. If Shepard can bang asari and the secretary, I don't see how this is any worse. I mean, fighting flashlight robots and bug people...she must see the relationship vids and warning about chafing and anapalytpic shock and says, "Bring it."  After all, Shepard enjoys a challenge, right?

And I didn't dump him! I've played as my main Shep at least three times and romanced him each time! I was just curious, I swear! XD

I will never watch that scene. Yes, I know it's fake. Yes, I know Garrus is a fictional character. I don't care. That scene would snap my heart in half. I can't bear it. :(

I watched it once.

Then I went and snuggled my femshep up to Garrus.
Just horrible.

Although Jack's is as bad, if not worse.

When does he say this?  I've either missed it every playthrough, or never gotten him to say it.  Tried talking to him on Virmire, but he never did say it.

After you leave the salarian camp if you take him with you and talk to him he will say "This place reminds me of where I grew up on Palaven minus the geth of course."

...He's seen better? xD I doubt it would really be that violent and bone-breaking or else Mordin would have included that in the warning. But it's still a great comic.

I've never watched that Garrus break-up or death scenes. I've only seen screenshots of the final break-up scene.

Also, the baby turian is adorable. :D

Yeah, if it were all screeching and crunching, that conversation with Mordin would've been a lot shorter.

"Shepard, a word. Aware of stress. Hormones. Nevertheless. Relationship with turian. Don't."
"But--"
"Don't."

As for character deaths...I can't even bear to kill the few characters I don't like. Thought about...some, but...feels like less effort to do everything right. Can't watch them either. Getting taken away by Collector swarms is particularly disturbing. Something I heard, but would rather not see.

Or eggs.

Assuming turians come from eggs anyway. If they do i imagine the idea of eating an egg to be particularly disturbing.

I think the cheese would weird him out more than meat based foods (even testicles). I mean fermented mammal excretions. Then tell him about the moldy ones that are delicacies...

Considering the way that comic made it sound... that would be good advice. xD Poor Shepard. But I imagine TIM would be annoyed if he had to pay for Shepard to be rebuilt again for that reason.

I don't mind killing off the characters I don't like. The Virmire choice was really easy for me. (Unfortunately, my least favorite squadmate besides Morinth is the only one who can't be killed off.) I won't let the characters I like get killed off if it can be avoided though. Too many of my favorites get killed off no matter what.

@ Kim

Does it bug you that don't know all the options at first, or do you just get used to it? Are you okay with having to learn the game before you can roleplay well in it? I ask because there is this one guy in the DA2 boards who is crazy particular about this and seems to believe deep roleplaying is inherently impossible in ME. And yet you seem to do the exact same thing he does and don't have a problem. I mean I roleplay. Quite a bit. But you sound like you could write a novel about some of your characters, like you know the ins and outs down to what their favorite color is and what kind of music they listen to. I just design enough to explain actions without ME. Anyway, I'm just wondering why it is you seem to be able to manage it, but that other guy can't for some reason.

can I answer this too? I didn't role play either mass effect's properly until I played them both about twice, after that I developed a good memory of the situations and important moments of dialogue. But you CAN deeply role play in this game if you want to. Take my current Shepard I'm playing during the early parts of the game.  First you need your background and temperament prepared , here’s her brief example;

Sole survivor/ spacer
very loyal to the allance and has a strong sense of duty
hates ,marines dying at her command
very formal and to the point in her speech ,out of character to be humorous
can't stand law breakers
is very unlikely to question commands
regrets that only she made it out alive on akuze

So the game starts, Joker and Kaiden bicker about spectres and being the uptight commander that she is, she tells them to "act like soldiers" because they are acting childishly while a  revered captain is aboard .She doesn't explore Presley’s reasons for his distrust of the situation because he shouldn't be gossiping about the orders he was given. When speaking to the doc and Jenkins she tells Jenkins to follow her orders and not run into battle in a blaze of glory because she knows better from her experience, she promises he’ll have a long career if he listens to her. When told about the truth of the mission she trusts Anderson so she is very "what do I do" during that conversation and unlikely to ask about the protheons and finer details because she’d rather know about the objective.

When they land on eden prime, Jenkins gets killed and she becomes angry  and dismayed that he dies and also blames herself (gets a flashback of akuze) .Taking  this into account ,this is why she over-reacts at the smuggler situation (goes intimidate on them) because she can't believe she has to deal with petty crime during a geth attack. Jenkins fuelled her outburst at the farmers because while they hid behind crates and took weapons for themselves, people died, including one of her marines.  They live, a bunch of law-breaking cowards while her soldiers risk their necks for them and get killed for it.

When they get back to the Normandy, she calms down and talks to her new recruit Ashley to tell her she was grateful for her help. When Ashley mentions Jenkins, Shepard cynically responds that “when your number comes up it’s over, his did” Ashley is astounded at her coldness but she misunderstood what she meant , Shepard was trying to say that the only reason she was living today was because she was “lucky” .for whatever reason her number didn’t come up during akuze  and she still doesn’t know why, the tone of it suggests a form of regret that she didn’t die that day with the rest of her unit but she quickly changes topic.

So there you go, I obviously get very into it because I just LOVE coming up with different ways to play these games. I don’t know why that guy in the quote can’t do it *shrug*.

Yea, that's pretty darn funny actually. "Well, you squeeze a cow's, um, glands to get this juice out right? Then you let that rot and curdle for a while until it gets this nasty fuzzy lifeform that decomposes things growing on it...."

There are quite a few cultures of humans who find cheese repugnant so I'd imagine it would be interesting to see a Turian take on it.

Shepard waits until Garrus is about to drink a Tupari then tells him about cheese to see if Turians can snort liquid out their nostrils. :P
