Everybody must comment on the YT video Brandon linked us to "Garrus Thread wuz here." Even though it's stealing the Bungie Off-topic forum's idea it's still awesome.

To be perfectly honest, I think turians are dinosaurs. Literally. They fit every description that is required. So their mating rituals could be hard to say.

I love that most of the responses are like "while it would be awesome for you to do it, someone has to voice Garrus for ME3!" Also, going through the comments, I was surprised to find at least one other person that uses that handsome Garrus picture as their facebook profile picture. Makes me wonder if they are also a /co/mrade...

Anyway. I refuse to comment or pay further attention to the breeding topic at hand because my thoughts tend to stray towards...broodmothers.

If you have a character that romanced Kaiden, and you brought along Garrus to Horizon, they'll interact and so on. But it's clear even then that what was between a femShep and Kaiden didn't receive 100% closure. And there is Garrus seeing all of that.



So why do you think Garrus never brings up a "I thought you were still with Kaiden?" when suggesting that the two of you have sex?



Clearly it is set up so that a femShep could still be sort-of with Kaiden, since the pic of him in your room only gets turned over once you choose another LI. Not necessarily because of what was said at Horizon.

Well...Garrus does seem concern if you're flirting with someone on the ship. So I don't think he would flirt with Shepard if he thought Kaiden was still in the picture. You're right that Garrus did not see 100% closure between Shepard and Kaiden. I suppose if weeks later Shepard and Garrus are having the 'reach and flexibility', Garrus would figure out Kaiden is no longer in the picture.

Also, given Garrus' "That's...not what I was expecting" line if you ditch an ME2 squaddie for him, maybe he knows about Kaidan (or Liara) and figures you might go back to them, but for now he'll take what he can get. Boy has self-esteem issues sometimes.

Come to think of it, I don't think any of the ME2 LIs bring up any past relationships your Shepard might have had. Even Tali.

After that new animated Superman Batman movie came out, the style in which the characters were drawn turned into a bit of a meme. I have a compilation .gif of most of the results...in it, you can spot Tali as well.

I guess I never really thought about that since I had already told Joker and Kelly that things were kaput between us. Perhaps it'll lead to a scenario where either Garrus or Kaidan approach Shepard about it. Not like what happened in ME1, though. Something that really tells Shep that they want this, but if it's going to work then Shepard needs to do something. And I actually expect the "losing" side to be bitter about it. Possibly not wanting to talk unless it's mission related.

Theres a disscusion going on elsewhere about romancing aliens. I'm glad people are sticking up for garrus , people can really over react about people who romance fictional aliens! Its just a game! Here's a question for you guys, are there other alien characters in the game that you WOULD romance if they became available? kal reeger and wrex seem to be popular.

I will never understand how people can get bent out of shape about whose pixels romance which other pixels. I get that in real life, given the hypothetical choice between a human and a humanoid-ish alien, most humans would pick another human hands down. But this is pixels, man. Bits. Ones and zeros. My pixels like Garrus. In meatspace, I'm quite fond of my human fiance, tyvm. It shouldn't even be an issue.

I just congratulate myself on being able to see past a (pixilated) person's exterior. How he looks (even as awesome as he is) makes no difference to me or my Shep.


And yes, KG, they're VERY weird.  90% of the time they think they're dogs.

We give birth to babies with giant craniums that have to fit through tubes roughly the size of a quarter. The evolutionary solution? Soft skulls. So yes, I think softer plates would be logical. Also, if they start out soft, they'd be better able to grow with the child.

But the opening isn't the size of a quarter at the time they have to fit through it.
Sorry, I've got twins.  I guess I'm sensitive about it then.
But to stay on-topic, I agree that the plates aren't completely rigid.

If Garrus were real, I'd stick with my existing sweetheart for he is awesome.  I would befriend Garrus, definitely, but I'm not Shepard, and he wouldn't be interested in me.  Problem solved!

edited to add:  Ah.  If you are asking me to leave my husband of 10 years...well, yeah, clearly I couldn't do that.  Happily, I'll never have to make that choice.
