Yes true. He becoming something that I thought he was gonig to become, a true friend of Shepard, but I felt that the dev so far has been weak. I am hoping Bioware fixs that, thats my opinion of course.kglaser wrote...
But I thought you said you liked him more in ME2 than ME1. Is that still true?

Garrus potinal is being a strong leader. So far that has not been gonig well because of the flaws that stop him, flaws that should have matured or not even exsist in ME2.Alexine wrote...
Now I'm tempted to make a something with "deal with it" on it... (library computer does not have photoshop on it... D:)
I don't dish characters either. I think it's better to say nothing at all instead of saying it. Being vocal about your opinions is okay, as long as you stay on the fence and not hurt anyone.
Now I'm curious, Kraidy. What would you consider Garrus' potential?
Indeed, thats what I am hoping. I admit I was a little disapointed on where Liara was going because it was poorly done but after LotSB, I love it. I love the direction her character is going now.kglaser wrote...

Maybe in ME3 he will meet with your approval. BW does seem to improve their characters as they go along. For me, ME2 Garrus is so cool compared to ME1 and in Liara's DLC I like her a lot more now. They can only get better....

I like that they point that out in the LotSB, It's intimated he'll never reach that potential as a strong leader if he remains under Shepard.
I think it would have been posible for his team to be alive, remmember this is Garrus where talking aboutBuggirl70 wrote...

Part of me thinks though that the flaws that Garrus has are used as plot devices so that he would join Shepard. Like they deliberately kept his potential stunted.
If his team were successful and still alive would he have joined the Normandy? If he was successful at C-sec or had become a Spectre - I'm really not sure.
@Kraidy I'm going to create a special Shep for Liara now since playing LotSB. She deserves it.

Except for what that means for ME3...

Personally I hope that last romance scenes in ME3 take the road LotSB did, what I mean by this is capturing the emotion, not worrying about the sex or anything, getting to the bottom of what is hurting the character. Have the character open up, let them tell us how they really feel, what is hurting them, ask you are you are feeling. I don't want Bioware putting more effort in the sex and not the dialog. Fade to black please, since my imagination is better then a limited game engine.

For example we go to Palaven to do something for the turians, e have Garrus with us since he knows the planet and is a turian.
It`s possible to do things like that, make these old squadmates have the Kelly treatment (dialog after new missions and also have romance content)
Then before he final battle the romance scene happens, which if Bioware would try it, each romance could be unique and fit each character. Thats how I think ME3 is going to be like, new squad for majority of the game, old squadmates can still be contacted like normal but they are doing important things, at certain moments they join your party then during the final battle you pick your squad from any survivors.

Bioware don't seem to shy away from same sex pairings in DA (from what I've gathered - please enlighten me if I'm wrong) but have seemed to have freaked out about it in ME. Strange.
I remember there being a very mild fuss about a Zevran/malePC love scene that was featured on some talk show...(Jimmy Kimmel, or something?) which was odd because it came out about six months after the fact.TheodoricFriede wrote...
Mass Effect is so much more mainstream the Dragon Age theyre probably worried about Fox News throwing a hissy fit about videogames trying to "TURN OUR CHILDREN GAY!!!"
Look how well they handled the love scenes in ME1. Now imagine if they saw it with two men.
