I love the idea that these two could have banter such as this - I wrote a fic with them both trying to instruct Shepard in how to use a sniper rifle.  It was heavily laced with innuendo!

Where can i read this triumph of human imagination?

Just click in my sig (under lame fan fic) - the story is called "Clueless" I had lots of fun writing it! Garrus and Thane are a cool team together IMHO.

""So that means you calibrate more than once a day? Maybe several times a day?" She gave him a wide eyed look, he seemed to have no idea she was insinuating something other than firing algorithms.""

Already i love this.

Edit: I finished it, i loved it. Brilliant.

In Buggirl's "lame" fanfic. It's pretty hilarious.

AHH! I can finally post in the ME2 forums (after being a lazy bum and not registering my steam copy of ME2 for ages)!! Which means I can finally post in the Garrus thread!

Sorry. That was off-topic.

As for MaleSheps, I have a Jack!Shep, a Tali!Shep and an Ashley!Shep. I still have to romance Liara.

How did you avoid it??

To keep this Garrus-related, does anyone else think it was adorable the way he stumbled all over his words while he was thanking you in the last conversation you can have with him on the SR1?  He sounds definitely like he wanted to say something else, there...hmm, I wonder what!

I have Shepards planned out for each romance. Normally each romance only gets one Shepard. EvilShep is the exception. (He'll go for Liara, Miranda, and recruit Morinth. He's just using them though.)

I thought the same thing. There were a few conversations in ME1 that made me wonder, "Really? This guy's not a romance option?" He did sound like it sometimes.

For some reason, Sable Rhapsody's awesome signature just made me think of Garrus saying "my rifle is bigger than yours." xD Maybe it's because of all the talk about Buggirl's fanfiction.

That's how I've been playing, too...only made three so far, but eventually I'll make a few more. Probably only six though, each a different class and romance...not particularly interested in Miranda's, Jacob's or Liara's. They just don't do anything for me.

Having recently gone through the original game myself, it has become very clear that Garrus is very...unsure of himself. Really shows how far he's gone as a character...we don't see that nervous side unless he's romanced, and that's part of why I like his romance so much; discovering that creamy center under a badass shell.

Yeah, there are some characters and romances that don't interest me either, but the Shepards do. Liara, however, will have to wait a long time before her romance ever happens intentionally in my game. Still annoyed about the romance trap. On the bright side, an extra playthrough of ME1 means more Garrus (who my MaleShep won't get to talk with much in ME2) and more Saren. Unfortunately, an extra playthrough of ME1 means watching Saren kill himself again. Win some, lose some.

I think it's awesome how Garrus seemed to learn from my Renegades in ME2. He does the same things on Omega if the Shepard is Paragon, but it means a lot to hear him say "I learned from the best."

I used to a do a playthrough for each LI, but there are just too many plus not all of them interest me this go-around. Not to mention there are several incarnations of Garrus to consider-paragon, renegade, and various combinations. I want to set up different versions of Garrus before I start worrying about most of the other LIs.

The sig's from the DA forums.  Because no matter what the naysayers yell, Hawke's fireball is bigger than yours, and there is Nutella.

...don't ask.

I honestly have a lot of trouble replaying RPGs with different characters.  I'll sometimes replay it with the same character: I find I have a much clearer idea of the roleplaying direction I want to go into upon replay.  But I had a few other Sheps planned out, and one other Warden for DA:O, and none of them ever got played.  Poor kids.

It might have something to do with the fact that for ME and ME2, the only female romance that really strikes a chord with me is Garrus's, and I literally cannot play manShep any more without playing renegade **** Sheploo.  But for me, there's one Shep, and one Warden, and one LI for each :D

I was doing my very best to have a Thane Shepard on my last play through, but I just couldn't keep her away from the battery and Garrus. Maybe next time??

The DA2 forum has a lot of nice signatures. My favorite is the "Hawke for LI... oh wait" one. xD If only there was one for Shepard. (Although, it would have to be my MaleSheps. I've never played Sheploo.)

My MainShep will get a few clones over time so I can replay the Garrus romance, change a few different things like background information and some in-game decisions, but they'll all look the same and have variations of the same name. And none of them will spare Saleon or Sidonis. I doubt I'll even make the Shepard I planned out specifically for saving Sidonis do it in the end. The "true" version of MainShep will have to be single though... because Saren is not a romance option.

I have a clone of my mainshep. I have one where she is just with Garrus and another where she is a cheater. I can never decide which of those playthrough I consider my "canon" one. Probably just with Garrus as it's not really in character for her to have gone for Kaidan. That was just kind of for a "huh, I wonder what will happen in ME3 if..."

The farthest I ever got with Liara was with that "pick one" chat in the comm room...which I found surprising and amusing since I specifically told her I wasn't interested in her and just wanted to be friends. Apparently "no means no" doesn't translate well to asari.

Do you play mostly as a Renegade? I guess it feels...more fluid with Garrus in ME2. When Paragon'd, Garrus only mentions he tried going back to C-Sec, but other than it, it's lagely the same. Plus, he seems to be the only one even relatively on your side when you keep the base. Even those who would side with you before you do it--namely Grunt and Legion--flip-flop when you talk to them afterwards.

I romance Garrus as a Paragon (maybe that means I like to "fix" my men, lulz), but my Renegade...he truly is my brotoge.

...I guess, to justify the Paragon side, in ME1 I found "I've never met anyone like you," more satisfying--ironically-- than "That was...satisfying"

You have effectively summarized what's so irresistible about his romance.  Great summation.<3

I'm still kind of annoyed, too, but if you ever get to play Lair of the Shadow Broker, you might like her more.  I did, and didn't think anything could make me feel that way.

Garrus and Zaeed are the best Merc killing team.

I romanced him with my Paragon Sentinel, really though as a Paragon Shep, Garrus does seem a little harsh.

As a more renegade shep me and Zaeed stood back and gave him a raucous round of applause during his LM.

During Thane's recruitment, though, I felt like I couldn't make Garrus happy. If I pushed the merc out the window, he said, "Harsh...but I guess he deserved it." If I didn't push the merc out the window, he said something like, "He's a lucky man...anyone else would have killed him." Well Garrus, make up your mind...what should I have done then?!? XD
