My MainShep will get a few clones over time so I can replay the Garrus romance, change a few different things like background information and some in-game decisions, but they'll all look the same and have variations of the same name. And none of them will spare Saleon or Sidonis. I doubt I'll even make the Shepard I planned out specifically for saving Sidonis do it in the end. The "true" version of MainShep will have to be single though... because Saren is not a romance option.

Well if you can't get Garrus and Shepard to spare Sidonis, you'll just have to come here after ME3 is out and those of us who spared him will let you know the difference :-) I'm hoping Sidonis will do something good for the galaxy.

Just thought: If Garrus didn't make it through the suicide mission and you saved Sidonis do you think he'd be able to take Garrus's place on Shepard's team?

Well my preference would be for the original squad members, but it seems that there were possible substitutes available (at least to me ) i.e. Kolyat for Thane, Sidonis for Garrus, Kal for Tali ...

Garrus and Zaeed are the best Merc killing team.
I romanced him with my Paragon Sentinel, really though as a Paragon Shep, Garrus does seem a little harsh.

As a more renegade shep me and Zaeed stood back and gave him a raucous round of applause during his LM.

I suppose so, though in defense of the Paragon--good does not necessarily mean nice.

It is a bit funny though, my main femShep is (mostly) Paragon, and Thane is...probably a better fit. It's like...

Paragon Shepard: *points to Garrus* I want that one!

Game: That's not a very good option for you. Here, take this one *hands over Thane*

Paragon Shepard: But I want that oooonnnnne!

To make this Garrus-centric, I'll say it's my second full PT of ME2, and I just heard the "hospitals aren't fun to fight through" stuff from Garrus.  Haha, great!
The best part was how he sounded all serious...like he was suggesting serious alternatives...

KG I loved that dialogue - I just want to know when Garrus ever had the opportunity to fight through classy antique stores. The gardens and electronic stores maybe but antique stores??

The farthest I ever got with Liara was with that "pick one" chat in the comm room...which I found surprising and amusing since I specifically told her I wasn't interested in her and just wanted to be friends. Apparently "no means no" doesn't translate well to asari.

I have no idea what was wrong with the game mechanics, but my MaleShep got trap-romanced after "I'm not interested in you." I like the fact that there is no possible way to be trap-romanced by Garrus. Shepard's lines are so blunt, and she even has to say it again in the first conversation to confirm what she meant. Then Garrus asks Shepard again if she wants out of it. No "all three options say yes" in his romance, which is a really good thing. There's less rage-quitting that way.

Do you play mostly as a Renegade? I guess it feels...more fluid with Garrus in ME2. When Paragon'd, Garrus only mentions he tried going back to C-Sec, but other than it, it's lagely the same. Plus, he seems to be the only one even relatively on your side when you keep the base. Even those who would side with you before you do it--namely Grunt and Legion--flip-flop when you talk to them afterwards. 

My Shepards are all a mix of morality. They all use the Renegade solution to Garrus' missions. If it were my Shepards who wanted their revenge, and someone tried to stop them, they would hate that person, maybe even shoot through them. I know it's not the same for Garrus, but when my own characters are designed that way, it would be strange to have one romance him after they Paragon him. They like people who are like them, people they agree with. Renegade Shepard and Garrus agree most of the time.

I'm still kind of annoyed, too, but if you ever get to play Lair of the Shadow Broker, you might like her more.  I did, and didn't think anything could make me feel that way.

What I've heard of LotSB actually made me like her less. xD But I still hope BioWare will release an Ultimate Edition for ME2 so I'll get to play it. If they don't, I just hope it doesn't matter in ME3 that I didn't play it. The most enjoyable DLC for me though would be Zaeed and Kasumi. Zaeed sounds like he would be one of my favorites for sure, and Kasumi's loyalty mission has a Saren statue that I want MainShep to see with her own eyes.

That's the plan. If something awesome happens, I'll make that Shepard I planned out spare him just to see it.

Garrus thread, I bring gifts created by other people that my cause head explosions due to sheer awesome. Someone told me to check out a certain chapter of a Shep-Tali fic that revolves around Garrus, Tali, and Shepard spending the day at a carnival. I was however warned that many of the chapters are...smut for lack of a better word. I do not know which chapters those are so I would avoid venturing into any of the other chapters other than the one I link, I don't know what you'll find so be warned.

However, the chapter of this fic involves Spectre status-cowboy hat wearing Garrus at a Turian carnival with lots of awesome to go around:O. Again I stress do not venture away form the linked chapter. I don't know what you'll find but I do know that the chapter I link is completely clean and also quite awesome.

From lurking in this thread I know that many people's minds are in the gutter quite often, heh I'm 16 I'm the same way , but I still wanted to warn everyone about Tali smut. I don't know which chapters are like that so I threw out that warning. The chapter I linked is fantastic though I strongly recommend any Garrus fan to read it.
