This happens to me all the time. Just go talk to Garrus again and it will go through the loop "part of me still thinks we're crazy" conversation. Reaffirm the romance and then go back up to your quarters and you should be able to click on a computer near the case full of ship models. It will say "invite Garrus up." I hate that bug. It's really annoying.
I figure it's because the poor guy still can't believe Shepard wants to shag him, so post-O4 he's having a momentary denial of what happened. Shep needs to assure him she really wants him and not the priiiiize. Or something.

This is the first time I've actually listened to MShep... and MAN he sounds like he rips Garrus a new one every time he opens his mouth.
It saddens me. It shows you really how much of a Renegade Garrus is.
This is just game one! I'll have more thoughts once I hit game two. :3

Garrus is pretty renegady in the first one, I kept telling him to Calm the hell down. didn't do much good apparantly if he goes on *ss-whupping spree on Omega. The only bit of Garrus's renegade I saw in ME2 was on his loyalty mission, which was my Shepard spamming "DONT DO IT!!!!"silentstephi wrote...
I finally, after months of trying and failing, have been able to get an MShep past Eden Prime. So I'm playing this Shep, (Ron) as a Derpy Straight Edge Paragon (who has some how managed to lead both Ash and Liara along.. not sure how, since Kaidan/Liara are pretty fast with FemShep about getting locked in... I smell a gender disparity....).

He def has seemed to chillax a bit between games, I'm just kinda surprised at the bit of difference between a FemShep Paragon's tone and MSheps. I've played the game with like... five or six fems? Mostly Renegade (because I'm apparently evil, er something) because it's more fun, but a few paragons (who yes, I admit, I trash my paragons. They have the most angsty, crappy lives pre and post game... I'm a horrible person... XD) so I figured, since my Fems tend on the Renegade, I'll start off with a Paragon of LIGHT! (Ah la Lawful stupid).

Garrus needed that kick. My Shepard in ME1 was pretty much Pro-Alien, anti-Xenophobia. Garrus was going to end up bad if I didn't help him. Think of it as tough love if you like romancing him in ME2Sialater wrote...
Well, Shepard's kind of an ass to the aliens in ME1 regardless. I mean, look what she says to Wrex.

Did anyone else find the Shadow Broker's brief assessment of Garrus... a bit close to the mark? And hopefully not a portent of things to come?
(I won't post it here unless asked.)
But suffice to say, I saw it, read it... and went... Well.. yea... and got an uncomfortable fidget. -.-

It's actually something from the Dossiers. Not what he says about Archangel having a bounty. That's just a given. I mean... hell, I bet EVERY SINGLE PERSON on Shep's team has a price.camoboy_19 wrote...

It's in the Dossier's before you get into the details. The SB's little... summary.

Depends on the situation. I could def see being captured as not something high on his priority list...General Ashous wrote...
I wonder who on Shepard's team doesn't have a price on their head! Everyone could be sold to someone for something. At least Garrus would go down fighting and would rather die than be captured, at least that's what I think.
You think that just by working WITH Shepard, the squad mates are worth something?
On their own, lets see:
Garrus - herp derp, Omega/Archangel, yea, there's a bounty
Miri - Daddy wants her back bad, there's a bounty
Jack - BOUNTY
Zaeed - If Vito's still alive, hell yea, there's a price on his head
Kasumi - Master Thief... yup
Thane - well know assassin, has probably off'd someone of interest that others want retaliation for
Tali - Daughter to a Quarian Admiral, geth scavenger, huh, be funny if the geth had a price for her, but that's not really plausible
Legion - A geth unlike any other, that's novelty value right thar
Samara - Probably not in asari space, but elsewhere? Fair game
Mordin - Krogans would probably have a few words to say to the Scientist Salarian, I could see him having a price on his head
Grunt - if for no other reason to study the hell out of him and his perfect genes
The one squad mate I'm having a hard time finding a reason for a price on his head is Jacob. I mean, if I had played Galaxy, maybe I'd have something to offer, but he's just a grunt. A grunt without a compelling reason to be on someone's hit list, unless it's a batarian connected to whatever the hell the plot was in ME Gal.
As for the ME1 squaddies:
Ash - Um... she's another grunt. Moving on
Kaidan - Vernus have any friends who might have a beef with Alenko? Idk this one's a bit flimsy
Liara - DLC. 'Nuff said
Wrex - I can think of plenty of krogan who don't want to follow along with Urdnot's plans that would want to off the King
Thoughts? Keep in mind, I haven't really read any of the rest of the dossiers (I think I've read all of Garrus's, Legion's (LULZ), Thane's and Miri's, because I know have a way to sympathize with the woman) so I could be missing some interesting points.

If Garrus dies in ME3 I can see an organized bunch of angry and wailing Clan V members storming Bioware HQ :-P
If Garrus dies in ME3 I'm killing off my FemShep for mercy's sake. i rarely make characters who are as messed up as my Dexter-lite meets Spock, emotionally arms-length Paragade FemShep, but Mass Effect seemed like a good forum for a character like that. No regrets about it, but if the most important person to her in the world dies, it's going to be pretty damn bad. I'll give them their nice little Lost sideways universe ending. Yay for fanfic.

I really liked that, actually. Maybe it's because I like putting Garrus and FemShep through the wringer, but the Shadow Broker is absolutely right, perhaps more so if you play with a Paragon or Paragade Shepard who curbs Garrus's natural Renegade tendencies a lot. That being said, I feel like the same can be said of a lot of the other team members. Everyone gets overshadowed by Shep.

Firstly, if Garrus bites it in ME3... yea, there's at leat two Shepards dead. I'll kill them, finish the game that way, and find out what the "real" ending is with my other Shepards.
I like the character THAT MUCH. Also, I HATE games that do that. For the record. : /
As for the SB stuff, I can def see it for the Paragon/'gade that stifles his natural leanings. But for all us Renegades that are right there with him? Harsh. But yea, it's true of pretty much any of the potential leaders in the squad to be over shadowed by Shepard. He's the most visible (and hell, HE is my Alpha Shep's XO, not Miri) so I guess I just focused on him when it came to the SB's comment.
Do you think it's a weakness of character for him to stay with Shepard instead of fully developing his leadership skills?
Personally? I don't. Why? Cause I can understand the mentality.
Plus, a relationship with Shepard will deliciously complecate things. XD

Same thing with well all the other squadmates.
Forced noble sacrifices like in Halo Reach, or Metroid Prime are STUPID.

It's just too much of a disappointment if we need to gather yet another team, not to mention killing off/getting rid of the characters BioWare has made us love so far. Getting rid of good characters shouldn't happen without a bloody good reason.

Um, this sounds like my paragade's lost twin sister or something....
And I already wrote a monster wall of text way back when on my thoughts on the Garrus dossier. Suffice it to say, it made me squirm...but that's a good thing. That is so long as they use it for story material and not as an excuse to write Garrus out. I like a healthy amount of digging around in people's heads and tense situations. Like the aircab conversation. I love that kind of thing, and the dossier material could definitely produce more stuff like that conversation.

But in ME2 she's opened up more, enough so parts of the old crew pick on her. I had a very consistent evil grin as i retargeted the heavy mech during Garrus' recruitment mission.
Garrus/Sidonis, he so was focused on revenge that he was blind to everything else. i was shifting in my seat during the crucial moment, then i listened to Sidonis' story, Garrus' lets him go, i get the grey conversation. and in the end i'm shaking my head at the screen. its one of those food for thought moments i have to say.
