XD, i wonder if Jacob's "the priiiiiiiiizzze" line work better for Garrus or still sound corny?

I definately agree for the four point checklist, i would love to see some inside jokes between shep and garrus on missions, i can just imagine poor miranda or Jacob being slightly traumatised in the background.

I don't think anybody could pull that line off with THAT intonation without sounding corny.

"Heavy risk...but the chafiiiiiing."

What do you guys reckon Garrus' sister might do for a living? I mean, she is a turian so she was in the military. Do you reckon she can fight?

Also, what about Garrus' awesome ability in hand-to-hand?  How would you like to see him put that to use?

I know how my femshep would like him to put his "ability" to use.
How I would like it is seeing him do THIS to a bunch of mercs.

It's tempting to think that talents like those are at least partially genetic (of course, I have no basis for that...I just like the idea), so I'd guess she could fight.  Also, do we know the age difference between Garrus and his sister (sorry, her name slipped my mind just now--Solana?  Soltana??)?

And seeing Garrus fight somebody hand-to-hand would be awesome!  How about the turian councillor? ;)

It's Solana if I recall. He calls her Sol. I wonder if that means anything in Latin like so many other turian names? Huh, I need to go look that up ASAP. We don't know her age and there's really no sure fire way to tell. I get the feeling she is nurturing type though who probably behaves like an older sibling no matter what her age is in relation to Garrus. It really makes me wonder where his dad is though. I don't think he's dead. For some reason I get the feeling he may still be on the Citadel. I get the feeling he's retired just because Garrus says "he was C-Sec" in the past tense. It also sounded like Garrus' mother's sickness was nothing new. It makes me wonder if it had manifested two years ago when he first left to go on the Normandy or if is something that has happened since.

Another thing that is very interesting about that conversation with his sister are the length of pauses between replies. Some of the moments were Garrus takes like 5 plus minutes to reply and then only says like one line are really gut wrenching. I get the feeling he was just sitting there staring at the monitor like "what do I say?"

Yep, the name means "sunlight." Pretty vague there. Don't think it means anything.

I like the shortened name. I loved it when he called her that. It's just a kind of thing you don't see often from Garrus.

I can't see Shepard calling him Gar. Maybe "big guy", or something goofy, under some kind of circumstance where they were joking around, but not that.

I've decided that my canon Shepard refers to Garrus as "you big turian sex machine!" when he first sees Garrus in ME2, or just whenever he does something awesome. Its the best nickname i could think of.

Garrus should listen to James Brown on that visor.

I think my Shep refers to him as "tough son of a bitch ever since that Jacob line."  *said in endearing, flirty voice* "C'mere you old tough son of a bitch."

Also I meant the name Garrus called his sister.  Sol.  I liked to see him do that.

OMG.  Could I steal that for my story?  I'd pay royalties.  I loves it.

What I can't figure out though is the weird juxtaposition of Garrus training in hand-to-hand and apparently excelling at it and still going for long range kills and sniping. Combine that with tech, and he has all the bases covered. Heck, he's good at strategy and he's charismatic. Garrus is no joke. About the last ME squaddie I would want to have to fight.

He is definitely well-rounded. I wonder how he is with a shotgun?

I almost wonder why he didn't train with a shotgun. There is something kinda weird about on the one hand being good at punching guys in the face and also being good at drilling them from hundreds of yards. (Take that in typical Clan V fashion I urge you.) I almost think he started training to snipe at first and them maybe accidentally discovered he was really good at hand-to-hand. I mean I'm sure all turians get some training in it, but he seems like he had set up a reputation for winning matches. I'd like to hear more stories from Garrus about back in the days of yore. On the rare occasions he bothers telling a story, it's always a good one.

See I kind of envisioned it the other way around where in basic training and his early years he got to be good at hand-to-hand then as he got older and had more military training he became a specialist in sniping. Kind of like he needed the discipline of the one to excel at the other.

There is something stimulating about shooting someone in the head, from 100 meters' distance, and their head is the size of a popcorn kernel in your scope...they're standing there, shooting at you, and then BAM!  all of a sudden, they're...just gone.  I know I can't get enough of it in ME2; it's intoxicating.  Infiltrator FTW!!!! :P

Um, what were we talking about?  Sorry.

We were talking about the awesome Garrus and his amazing sniping and hand-to-hand capabilities\\

(and yes it's amazing being able to drop an enemy from what feels like miles away with a single headshot - that may be why Garrus is so into it, that rush or something)

I associate shotguns now with krogans, always. I can't help it. :P

Maybe in the mandatory military service, they let turian recruits train with shotguns, pistols, sniper rifles, and assault rifles, and let them pick one in which to specialize?

Why am I suddenly reminded of Bug's fic?  "A man in a boat is a very hard target."
