Doesn't the turian Councilor have the same colony markings as Nihlus?

I don't mind garrus having a few scars left over in ME3 but that bandage thing has to go

Besides, it's likely that each squadmate will have upgraded armor for ME3 anyway, different designs and all that. Garrus' alternate appearance pack armor already adds something extra to the bandaged area, so it seems like a logical next step.

Someone recently thought it was Yoda. A TIM/Yoda hybrid, I think.
I want to talk about Garrus-y things. Like I am curious about Garrus's colony markings, and in fact I'm not sure they're colony markings at all, those blue things on his jaw. Maybe I just thought they were colony markings.

Also, something I just noticed that has me scratching my head...
The Turian Trivia Wiki sez...
According to The Art of Mass Effect, turian ships incorporated layers of plates to roughly symbolize the feathered appearance of the turians themselves.
...
Feathered appearance? Um, are we looking at the same thing? I don't see feathered. I see spines, plating. But not feathery.

As far as we know, what Garrus is wearing is Palaven's marking, since Kurril is the only other Turian we know is from Palaven that we've seen and he's a dirty bare face. :3
There's also the citadel groundskeeper, but the line where he mentions that he's from Palaven was cut.
Speaking of tattoos, what do you guys think would cause a turian to remain barefaced?

The opposite of human rebellion. Instead of a teenager getting tattoos to spite their parents, a turian resists getting tattoos as a statement against the system.Liec wrote...

Actually wonder what the Turians of the homeworld/Heirarchy core worlds do about tattoos. If the tattoos were an artifact of the Unification Wars and colonial pride, why would a Turian from one of the core worlds bother with tattoos? Did the colonial culture, that prejudice against being barefaced, actually alter the perception of all Turians? If you don't have facial markings, you are of no group, no society? And why let such prejudice seep from colonial to core world mentality?
Makes me wonder if there are two distinctly different interpretations of Turians depending on if you're strictly within Turian territory or beyond it. Outside of Turian territory or on colonial fringes, to be barefaced puts you in a low position. Deep within Turian territory, away from the colonial fringes, there are no stigmas for being barefaced.

But back on topic, We need to learn more about the turians and I really want to go to Palaven. And I would definately buy an Archangel comic.

I just watched Garrus' death scenes from the OP
This thread has everything: http://social.biowar...5/index/2933016Does anyone know the priority list for who dies for the death scenes? I know the hold the line one but I don't know the collector swarm and Normandy death list.

The art book does actually say that. I think "plated appearance" would have fit better.
I have pics of the ships scanned from the art book - I would have posted them earlier, but I needed to check if it was okay to do so. (If you're reading this, Pacifien, thanks for responding so quickly!)

Thanks.
I watched the rejection scene also which was very hard to watch. I was curious of the death scenes but now...
Garrus is pretty high on the death priority lists...that worrys me, I hope they don't reduce him to a cameo because he's fairly easy to kill. I don't know why anyone would import a Shepard where alot of the squadmates died unless they specifically wanted those characters out of ME3. I think ME3 should be all old characters and maybe 2-4 new ones.
Hmm, the priority list says Miranda can't die at the seeker swarms but in the video she died...
And for those who have it, is The Art of Mass Effect good since I want to buy it but it's $50 on ebay. I also want to see if I can buy the ME2 Art Book. I bought the three books and Redemption and I might get the ME1 and ME2 guides for collecting purposes. Which of the books is the best?

I have a question that I don't think has ever been brought up here. Who has clipping issues during that final romance scene with garrus? My shepard's thumb has gone into his face yet I've seen youtube videos that don't do that, there are also videos that show the clipping as well. What gives?
I'll test it for you in a couple hours. I can't now because everyone's sleeping. From what I remember though mine may have had some clipping but I'm not sure.
Also on another forum I go to a user there said that she couldn't romance Garrus on her file because she didn't recruit him in ME1. Did anyone else try this out? Is it really imposible or maybe she just missed the dialogue?

Its confirmed that if you purposefully leave garrus at the citidel and refuse to recruit him in ME1, using that import means you can't romance him. Its quite sweet actually, if you don't have that history together you can't make him your LI
