Agreed. Plus if you did his loyalty mission, he's already bugged you about a personal issue once this mission, probably isn't interested in doing so again.Hazzel42 wrote...
I'm sure Garrus didn't mention his mother to Shepard (male or female) because he didn't want to add to the burdens Shep already has. I'm also sure he figured there wasn't a lot Shep could do to help so he's doing his best to deal with his own issues like a good Turian most likely would.

I wrote a fan fiction about that. Whether he tells you or not, you find out. I figured it was a good idea to kill two birds with one stone.

I love your drawing! And that's awesome running into a Garrus cosplayer. Were you near a video game/anime convention? I probably wouldn't know what to say to him.

I kept trying to draw on and off when I use to draw and it would be anime style. I really want to draw video game characters like Garrus but I'm not very good. I think you're good though. I would love to see more of your work.
That's kinda random though, running into a cosplayer. How did he make his head work? Was he wearing a mask? or face paint? or maybe just the visor?

Yeah it was quite interesting to find that information at the Shadow Broker's base. Certainly made for interesting speculation on what Sep would do with it. Any chance you'd share the link to your fic?

mmmm i think he said it was a mix of paper mashe and cardboard, it looked pretty good though...as for drawing..i only started to get good during late highschool, sooner than that and it was stick figure heaven. but as per request i will get to work on garrus when i next have a free moment.
I didn't start drawing until 8th grade and went on and off and I'm 18 now so I never got good since I never was consistent. But if I ever get good enough to draw Garrus and if there is still Garrus support boards then I will post my drawings.
How do you guys think the Garrus romance will develop in ME3? I know that we want a happy ending and more dialogue but how do you think it will develop based on his character? Say there is a couple month time gap between games and he is still on the Normandy with Shepard. I don't know if this question makes sense.

I am, however, disappointed with his end romance scene. I'd have liked to know a little more about what his "research" turned up on how they were gonna do that thang. AND I'd have like to have seen some of what is up under that spacesuit. Why should Jacob and miranda get all the stripper fun?

Also, on the cheating, I know Liara takes it fairly ok. She's upset, but she understands that both she and Shepard are different people two years later. She even says so if you do pursue the romance with her. But how do y'all think Kaidan would take it?
I know I've read fanfiction where Kaidan and Garrus get into a huge fight, but honestly I don't think that's either of their style. Garrus, maybe, considering how vigorously he takes Shep's side on Horizon. I get the impression based on Kaidan's reaction on Horizon that he'd react less well than Liara. She was the one who dealt with Cerberus and the Shadow Broker. She has more context for what happened to Shep, context that Kaidan and Ash don't let Shep explain on Horizon.

If you start a brand new Shepard in ME2, the game default assumes you did recruit Garrus in the events of ME1, and you are therefore able to romance him. Tried this out to make sure.Sable Rhapsody wrote...
Just so someone can clarify--if you did not recruit Garrus in ME1, and import to ME2, that shuts off the romance. What about if you start a brand-new Shep in ME2? The effect's the same in ME2, but does the game recognize that it's not an import, and you therefore didn't exactly turn down Garrus?
It's hard to say, because both Garrus and the Virmire Survivor can have subtle personality differences based on whether you paragoned or renegaded them. Maybe Garrus and Kaidan, if you made both of them into renegades, would be more likely to resort to physical violence, though not to the level of putting anyone in the hospital; both characters seem to try (each in their bizarre, inconvenient ways) to be responsible adults. For paragon Garrus and Kaidan, I can see heated words and quiet fuming. Also, on the cheating, I know Liara takes it fairly ok. It's all speculation at this point, apart from the knowledge that Kaidan didn't want to share Shepard with Liara in ME1, so Shepard would presumably not be able to form a happy open relationship with both him and Garrus in ME3. I say "presumably" because, well, who the hell knows what the writers will throw at us?

If I'd had my druthers, my Shepard would have run giggling to the Calibration Room right after Mordin's talk and gone, "Hey. Mordin gave me porn. Did he give you porn? Yeah? Wanna watch it later? Cuz I'm going to feel dumb watching it by myself."fallele wrote...
you know, it got me thinking that when Garrus mentioned watching the vids, if i was Shepard i would've asked: "You saw Mordin too, huh?"

I made this for all the Garrus/FemShep fans out there. I'm a huge Garrus fan, myself. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/love.png[/smilie]
Anyway, let me know what you think. I'm rather happy with how it turned out. Featuring my Paragon Adept, Aislinn Shepard.

I agree with how they would act but.. I thought that Garrus was the only person you could paragon/renegade?

That's a good drawing. I'm probably wrong but I'm going to guess his expression is either him saying "yeah" while you romance him or Shepard calling him "ugly" right after you recruit him.

I'm replaying ME1 and I'm going to paragon Garrus this time( I renegaded him on my first playthrough because I picked the answers that he wanted to hear and I didn't know that it made a difference). I just had my first conversation and I feel bad because he was all excited to do things his way now that he's done with C-Sec and I had to yell at him. Does anyone else feel bad paragoning him?
This is one of the reasons I don't think I'll be able to play renegade. I can't be a jerk to people in and outside the game.

The romance was incredibly hilarious but sweet. My boyfriend, who ended up with Miranda for some horrible reason, is going to make a FemShep for Garrus. I think it was the loooooooooooong pause after the heat sink comment that convinced him (I don't think we've ever laughed harder at a video game than we did at that). And the last scene is about perfect; from his awkwardness and Shepard's bemusement at his awkwardness to how he opens up and it's all sweet and made me cry. I preferred it to any tent scene from Dragon Age and definitely to the love scene in ME1 I got with Liara.
I did not know that you could Paragon/Renegade him. I know I chose a mixture of responses, mostly because my Paragon has a willful streak and isn't opposed to knocking some heads when need be. But she tried to take Dr. Saleon into custody. How can you tell if he's gone to either side? By whether or not he says something about trying to become a Spectre?
