I wonder about that too, especially when I have my paragon FemShep playthrough who romances Renegade Kaidan. I'm planning to cheat on Renegade Kaidan with Garrus to see his reaction in ME3, and whether they'll have extra dialogue.

I doubt it, if I put my expectation very low for ME2 than I cant be dissapointed. If it is amazing then I can be amazed.
However if ME3 is to ME2 what ME2 was to ME1 than I will be very depressed.

Yeah, I just posted it on his FB page. Which banner is it? I was told of one where half his face is shown and then Garrus' face was the other half...is that the one?

Don't know who has what yet. The Thannix Cannon technology came from Sovereign. Part of EDI's programming comes from Sovereign. So we know that the Turians and Cerberus managed to salvage debris. Who knows what others may have gotten.

I had suspected the Salarians managed to get a hold of a portion of Sovereign that worked on indoctrination because Maelon mentions reading a paper by Mordin about indoctrination, which tells me that either a) Mordin did some work on Kirrahe's STG group after they returned from Virmire or he did research on whatever the Salarians salvaged from Sovereign.

But aside from the Thannix Cannon and EDI, don't have any more details.

True, the movie's a ways off...but they choose actors and voice actors well before then. We need to voice our support now.

It's so weird to me to actually care about who is cast in a movie, but this time I do.

What should I do if I desperately DON'T want a ME movie to be made at all, but desperately DO WANT BK to do voice for the movie IF it does get made?  /flail

I want BK as Garrus if they cast him... but I really don't want the ME movie to be about Shepard. T.T

A Shepard story would be less than ideal in many ways.  However, if they make a non-Shepard Mass Effect movie, I still believe they should bring the game squaddie VAs in as extras and cameos as a nod to the game's fans.  That's what I think.

You know what, if they actually did as you say, and:
1) DIDN'T use ANY of the characters from the games, unless they were minor characters, skillfully-integrated and -employed as cameo nods to the players for a quick laugh or so
2) Used FLAWLESS CGI or whatever else they are going to use for TOTAL immersion
3) Made the story as epic/space opera-y and well-written as the story in ME1, and
4) Didn't screw up the movie in the myriad other ways a video game-inspired movie can be screwed

then yes!  I would definitely endorse it!
My main fear is the thing gets made, and it's an absolute joke of a movie like so many others, and everyone who knows how crazy I am about this universe would look at me like I was a nitwit and how could I ever like something so dumb anyway??  I don't care so much how they would look at me actually, but if they regard the franchise as being crap based on a crap movie, I think that would make me bang my head against the wall.  True, I don't need anyone's approval to love the games, but it's disheartening to say the least to think of something like that happening.

I agree with kglaser and ciaweth.



The movie would be "okay" (even though I still wouldn't support it for the fact that game to movie games pretty much invariably suck) if Shepard wasn't in it (or Shepard's gender/background/love interest etc wasn't specified).



I'm okay with other squad mates being in the movie as cameos and yea - nods to the fans. Nothing that breaks canon though - let's not have Garrus be a vigilante before he meets Shepard, etc and so forth.

Dangit, I'm going to see that tomorrow.  And I am sure I will probably want to cry very hard.  But I have to see it.  If no other reason, I can blame my kids.  I'm taking my kids...yeah.   Then I can blame my kids when the movie is totally fubar.  /muahaha

Just read about The Last Airbender on Rotten Tomatoes. I was thinking, haha, I guess it got a 16% or something, haha. Yeah, no. Try 8%. And this comment: "'Battlefield Earth' has a new rival for the title of 'Worst-Film-of-the-Last-20-Years'."



Well, at least Garrus will never let me down. /cringes at the thought of someone making a serious ME movie and dressing somebody up in that Garrus mask someone made to play his role and the voice isn't BK but Ben Stein X(
