Garrus needs to have a fist-fight with Shepard. It just came to me. Imagine these two best friends, who've been through hell and back, throwing fists at each other. That would inject some character drama and whatnot. What are they fighting about? Who started it? Will they still be friends when its over? Who knows. Stay tuned. After a few words from our sponsors.
I think it would be kinda cool! Wrex did wonder who would win in a fight with Garrus and Shepard. I'm sure they'll be friends after though, but they may have to have a tiebreaker...

One could possibley come up with all sort of neat reasons why these two would be fighting. (Practice, sparrings, an actual fight between these two over some major disagreement?)
lol I think Shepard would only punch the bad side of Vakarians face.

He does. He's also one of the more aesthetically pleasing turians in the game. (Don't tell me it's just me that notices the differences?)
I agree. I like his voice and his looks. I notice the differences too.
He's interesting. The gestures, quirky dialogue, and character modeling, as well as the voice, make him stand out in a great way.
I thought it was funny how after Shep says "I should let you go" he says how he wonders if "humans consider conversation a form of imprisonment".
Also, I noticed something while playing ME1 today. Depending on what armor you use for Garrus you can see him without his visor. The armors that I know of(there's probably more) are Pheonix and Colussus armor. If you put the helmet toggle on then he has one of those hoods that turians on Omega wear. They don't put his visor and the hood on at the same time so you can see what he looks like without it..
Oh, does it bother anyone how much Garrus calls Shepard "commander" rather then just "Shepard" in ME1? It doesn't bother me in a bad way I just like when he calls be Shepard more because it makes me feel more like were equals. I don't think he ever called you commander in ME2 though. Which is good because it shows that we're closer.

I like that he says "Commander" in ME1 and "Shepard" in ME2. It shows the progression from teacher-student to equals/close friends/lovers.
And I do believe he calls Shepard "Commander" at least once (that I can think of) in ME2: when you're doing Thane's loyalty mission and talking to Bailey, and you choose the option where he starts talking about a VI programmed to talk like Shepard or something. Its error message is along the lines of telling the user to do it themselves because it's off saving the galaxy, to which Garrus responds "That's pretty extreme, Commander."
That's assuming I'm remembering that all correctly

I really liked that about Garrus in ME1. Garrus almost always refers to Shepard as "Commander" in ME1, and I think he's the only one of the non-Alliance crew who consistently does so. Wrex mostly calls you "Shepard," and I think Tali and Liara are about 50-50, though I could be wrong. I took it as a sign of respect from Garrus in ME1. And I do think Garrus and Shep are less on equal footing in ME1 than they are in ME2. Shepard's attitude toward it varies from player to player, but Garrus seems to see ME1 as a learning experience from Shep, and in his mind, Shep is definitely his superior.
In ME2, he does call you "Commander" on a few occasions, but generally speaking, I think just about all of your crew go with "Shepard," except for the few Cerberus members. I did like that touch--it feels like their relationship has gotten closer and more equitable, especially given Garrus's potential roles in the suicide mission.

That's assuming I'm remembering that all correctlyAnd I don't mind it, because he was mostly teasing Shepard and s/he banters back with "Laugh it up, Garrus". Besides, I can understand that he might want to stick to calling Shepard by his/her superior officer title while they're out doing missions or at somewhere like C-Sec.
Ah, yes I remember that part. I thought that part was cute
Yeah, I like the progression of the relationship. I definitely wouldn't have liked it if he called me "Commander" during the romance scene.

Yes I see what you mean how he was being respectful. Yes he did see it as a learning experience.
That's the part I'm happiest about. That our relationship is closer in ME2. I hope it continues to grow in ME3.
And I guess this still has to do with Garrus but does anyone have trouble in ME1 and 2 with Garrus dying alot? He keeps dying for me alot in both games, but more in ME1. He is always the first one to die . I usually let the AI handle my squads powers though so I don't know if that makes a difference. I don't know if this is ok to talk about here.

His lack of dialogue is disappointing. I guess they thought that, as he'd been in ME1, he didn't need as much as the new companions. Wrong!
And about Garrus dying, with me, he only usually dies if I steal his cover
Only joking, I'd never do that to him. But I always have Thane and Garrus, it's usually me who dies first when husks with armour hack me to pieces while I'm focussing on a scion...
But I would say that Garrus dies a bit more than Thane, usually cuz he wants to get in with the action and jumps on top of a crate, thinking he can take another rocket to the face.
That turian rocks!

Haha yeah, and I have stolen his cover before but that's not why he dies for me. He was better about it in ME2 I think. And yes, he does need more dialogue.
Also, I just finished ME1 for the second time today and I have a couple questions about Garrus.
1) I paragoned him on this playthrough and he said he would go back to C-Sec... but he also said he would reapply for spectre training. So which way is he? Did I paragon him or not?
2) After I stole the Normandy he said "After everything we talked about--isn't this a little extreme Commander?" does he still say that even if you picked renegade choices with him? I don't remember much from my first playthrough and on that one I accidently renegaded him(I didn't know his morality changes and I just picked what he wanted to hear).

2) I never had that conversation with him. I just moped by the lockers! So can't help you there.

I also got the "going back to C-Sec and reapplying to the Spectres." Then, in ME2, he just says he went back to C-Sec after the Normandy was destroyed and then left a few months later. He doesn't mention the Spectres.

Well, yes, technically, we were 3PO'ed by Joker.... but you're right. He probably would have been better for Meghan from the beginning. Now, she gets a mess in ME3.... cause, you know... the Bro Code lies broken at hers & Garrus' feet.

I think I'm one of those few who don't get frustrated at his lack of dialogue? I mean of course, the more Garrus the better, but his relationship with Shepard always felt like "understand without words" type to me. And it's not like he has a lot to say, we already know him and it's too early to go deeper into his Omega team topic, I think - they've just died, after all. Plus he has some great lines on the missions.

I agree with the part of being okey that Garrus doesn't have much dialogue. The fact that they know each other and don't need so much words to express their feelings, hence the love scene.

I'm frustrated because he should have had more conversations than he did, pretty much everyone said they rushed to him after every mission just to be told that he was too busy calibrating
