But my Shepards encourage the vengeance. xD They completely agree with Garrus about that. The Renegade "I learned from the best" line is very in-character for them.

It is interesting to think of how characters change over time though, and what would happen if major events in their life were different. I have a Sole Survivor MaleShep who would support Cerberus if Akuze never happened, and a few things turned out very different (even romance choices) when I planned out his Ruthless counterpart. Another MaleShep of mine will slowly become Saren. Although, with Garrus, he's not that different if Shepard doesn't recruit him in ME1. The only thing that changes are basically feelings for Shepard - in every other way, he turned out the same.

Is it just me or is the only thing that varies with most NPC turians the color of their plates/skin/facepaint? The facial structures all seem the exact same. Which is kind of weird when you think about it. It means a lot of the NPC turians are just recolored Garruses with no visors lol.

The exception being important turians like Exectuor Pallin and the Turian councillor since they have different facial structures.

Actually the turian guarding the entrance to the quarantine district on Omega seems to have a bad case of overbite. Or maybe that's just me....

When you're face is made of destro-prothein based scaled is harder to see so much differences... at least the massive use of the same Turian's face model is more justified than others.

I agree that it's rather disappointing to see very same looking turian NPC's but the variety of their tattoos and colours at least make them more distinctive from each others.

Yeah the colors are nicely done, at first I didn't even notice they all had the same facial proportions.

Right now turian females are more important to me than all turians not looking like Garrus. (Which, mind you has it's upsides. ;)

*shrug* They didn't exactly vary the humans either.

That's true.

It's just bioware not wanting to waste too much time and resources I suppose.

I'd rather all the background people look alike and have them spend more money on dialogue... oh, wait...

Well considering how many NPC's there's running around, it's hard and also quite pointless to make them all very different. Especially if they just stand there doing practically nothing.

I don't mind that most of the NPCs are exactly the same with different colors. Most of the time, I wouldn't notice subtle differences in face structure anyway - just that some of their faceplates have a more "cracked" appearance to them. I can tell them apart by color. On the other hand, if all turians were the same color with different features, I don't think I'd ever be able to tell them apart. I didn't notice all of the differences about Saren either, including the geth arm, until I saw it mentioned on the forums. Of course, I've studied the differences now... but random NPCs wouldn't have the number of screenshots that Saren has. I would like to know if there are other turians who look more like him though.

Yeah, the turians look very similar, as do the salarian faces and the krogan faces (except for Wrex and Grunt.) Kim, I know what you mean when you say about the 'cracked faceplates.' I've just done the recruitment mission for Jack and Warden Kuril has one of the most 'cracked' faces in the game. He looks ancient!
So, I am probably being really paranoid here, but I have just looked at the cerberus network 'character' page. There is a section for all the squaddies where they are all listed and some info is given about them. Except for one!!
masseffect.bioware.com/universe/squad/grunt/
WHERE THE HELL IS GARRUS?! And why isn't he on the list exactly?! There are two 'unclassified people, I think one of them is Wrex (you can tell by how it is arranged alphabetically,) and then the other must be Garrus. Maybe I am reading waaaaay too much into this, but does this mean... DLC???

Garrus and Legion remain classified, IIRC.

Legion isn't on there either? He is my third fav character as well... What does IIRC mean? Sorry, I'm terrible with acronyms...

I imagine they're unclassified because they're "surprise" companions. Archangel's identity is a secret until you meet him and you don't recruit Legion the normal way.

Although why they couldn't do a dossier on Archangel, I don't know.

Thanks! By the way Sialater, just started on persephone rising - I'm really getting into it :)

I imagine they will bring up dossiers later, I think they were the last characters to be revealed. That may have something to do with it. Thane was the first to be revealed I know that. But when I did my first playthrough, I had no idea that archangel was Garrus until he took off his helmet. Best moment of my life!

I think the cracked faceplates probably are a sign of age, or maybe it "wears down" after many battles if they take hits to the face (which, for many turians, could be a sign of age too). Saren's faceplates look like that on the cover of Revelation, but he's in his 20's there. I'm guessing it's battle scars, along with the implants on his jaw and the cybernetic eyes. That was all there before Sovereign. It makes me wonder if Garrus will have something similar when he takes off the bandages. And because I don't notice these things - do Garrus' faceplates look more cracked after his recruitment? Not just on the side near his bandages, but overall?

I read every ME2 spoiler I could find, so I knew all about Garrus and his romance before the game came out. The biggest surprises for me were the interrupts, and seeing my Shepard imitate my favorite action movies. It was a proud moment.

I'm glad you like it, Tasha! Thanks for reading!

Kim: Garrus does look a bit more weathered in ME2. But I think the cracking can come from a hard life, too. Saren's doesn't sound like it was ever easy.

That could be true. I did notice a change from ME1 Garrus to ME2 Garrus, but I wasn't sure if that was just the change in graphics. I'm sure losing Shepard and his team was hard on him, like Saren losing a brother.

It was a bit of a change in graphics but it might also be Bioware being awesome.

Just about every moment in both games was BioWare being awesome. Well, except for the romance traps. But those aren't possible for Garrus, which is a sign of BioWare being awesome again.

Well BioWare has always been awesome but to talk about Garrus...
Can anyone provide me with a few pics of him? I can't take screenshots since I got the Xbox version and I need a specific angle of him for my picture.:)
Here's the seraphi91.deviantart.com/art/Garrus-wip2-179466154 pic I'm working. I need a pic of that angle, if anyone could be so kind to help me out...

 Here is one.
If you need an angle with a little more face in it, just say so. Last playthrough I took hundreds of screenshots.

OK, I have a question... how do you think Garrus would feel about the Earthborn Shepard? Especially if he or she killed cops while a gang member? (This is obviously preromance.)
