Wasn't sure if you were doing that on purpose to make a joke or not. Cause... if it was a joke, it went right over my head.

Garrus thinking she looks hot when she threatens people, perhaps?
And yes. That.

Shepard: Shortest interrogation ever. Beat that, C-Sec.

I like the fact that we're given very few details about Shepard's past. Shepard is our character, so it's great that we can fill in the blanks. For other characters though, the more we know about them, the better. I've created a whole background theory for Saren that was influenced in some ways by my Shepards, and that's great too, but the details may or may not be true. I'd like to know his real story. There are a few more details about Garrus that I'd like to know too.
In the case of my Earthborn Ruthless, he definitely joined to stay out of jail. The Alliance knew about his skills and wanted the young powerhouse on their side, while he wanted to keep his freedom as much as possible. He doesn't regret anything he did because he believes that everything he did was justified. I think Garrus would agree if he knew the whole story, but for now, he just knows Shepard well enough to trust his reasons. Garrus knows he's not very cruel or a common criminal - he has standards, and there are crimes that completely disgust him (like his old gang poisoning turian medical supplies, and knowing that probably wasn't the first time). Despite their different backgrounds, their sense of justice turned out very similar. The two of them agreed completely about Saleon and Sidonis.
Ah, it probably is best kept vague, then. My Eathborn is a Paragon, so my ideas on her possible past were totally different. In her case, she knew the Reds were getting worse, from petty to severe crimes, so she got as far away as possible from it. To relate it to Garrus, I would say...she kept him from killing Saleon and Sidonis because she feared for him, maybe even a little for herself, for loosing control. Maybe she would think it a slippery slope; it took so much time for each of them to get to where they were, but it would be so easy to destroy it, to turn into something fearful and reckless.
...Although I also happen to have a Colonist/Ruthless Shepard who's...pretty big on revenge, so he would have the opposite affect on him.

certainly do. It really is a shame when people just go with the
default. I chose soldier because it fits my playstyle and lets me have
the talents I want, not because it's default. What's the point
in playing a game centred around a specific character if you don't make
him/her your own?
Ah yes, Reave, I loved that power. I don't use
it anymore since my Shep's not a biotic, but I really loved that
thing. I picked Reave for my vanguard renegade manshep run, and I
really do miss it. Will have to try sentinel some time, but aren't they
really weak in Me1? Engineer was a lot of fun, but since I only made
that character to unlock electronics, I havn't played her much past the
citadel.
I always take Garrus with me, and usually Kasumi or
Mordin so its about even tech/combat. I really need to start
experimenting with biotic companions...
Yes, the Sentinel class was pretty lame in ME1, but totally boss in the sequel. I'm still adjusting to playing Infiltrator, it's wierd not having any powers XD
Depends on the Shepard, but I would say my ideal team would be Garrus and Samara. Lot of do-gooding, lot of blue. Just how I like it.
Garrus probably is one of the more useful squadmates. Which was why I was rather miffed playing as a Vanguard on Hardcore, fighting the Shadow Broker with only an Adept to help me. Really could've used his help...ah well.
Chaotic good quotes? Well, that one about kicking back fits pretty well. I guess another one could be when you're talking to him just before meeting with Sidonis. Shepard says, "It's just not like you," and responds something like, "Really? I've always hated injustice. The idea that Sidonis...could get away with this!" (he chokes a bit in the middle of that sentence, like he could almost burst out laughing). He then proceeds to say that no one else knows or cares about what he did, and that there's no reason to just let him go while ten good men lie in "unmarked graves".

Both Meg and Avery want to tell him they care. Meg a little more than Avery, though.

Or puppy dog eyes. I don't even know how that would look on a turian, but if he even attempted, I'd be butter.

Biotics are my favorite too. Actually, they're probably tied with fiery explosions. And when combined... it makes floating, flaming geth.My Vanguard is awesome. For Garrus, I use Concussive Shot a lot. I think it's the squad power I've used the most overall. Overload is great too, but I don't get to use it too often. Are there less shields on Casual? Garrus and my Sentinel MainShep were awesome on Tali's loyalty mission though. Tech explosions everywhere. The geth never stood a chance.
On Normal, most things are still unprotected by armor, barriers or shields. On Hardcore, just about everything is protected. On Insanity, everything is protected (EVEN THE F-ING HUSKS HAVE ARMOR), highly aggressive, scaled to your level, and out to sodomize adorable puppies after killing Shepard and the squad for spending a few seconds out of cover.
The funny thing is that I rarely play higher difficulties "for the challenge." I play most games on Normal--you know, the intended, balanced difficulty. But Insanity is FUN. It's a challenge, yes, but it's perfectly possible to through ordinary fights and--with heavy weapons--even miniboss fights without restarting. It just requires playing much more cautiously and much more thoughtfully. Every second and every shot counts--feels a lot more like an actual fight.
